Soma Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I have been listening to this track a lot in past few days. It's a total grower. Great lyrics, great vocals - it's so good! SDRH has only killer tracks. Everyone NEEDS this version into their lives!
sul8323 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 My fave on the entire album (including demos). I was disappointed when it did not make the Deluxe 19 but was thrilled when it was included on the SD. In my Playlist, I play it right after Living for Love. I can't get enough of Borrowed Time. XOXOX
ruey Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 The sheer positivity of this song rocks my world! I love both the Avicii demo and the final album version.
Guest Pud Whacker Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 LOVE LOVE LOVE borrowed time!!! do we neeeeeeeed? this song is one of the ones i sing the most when its not on.
madmark Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I am still utterly transfixed with this song as well ♥
Phineaspoe Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Track 4 of My Rebel Heart –– as it should've been included in the standard.
Donuts Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 should've been included in the standard. I concur....have a feeling this song is going to be used in her political/controversial video segment for the Tour in some way
Guest Hunterlas Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I concur....have a feeling this song is going to be used in her political/controversial video segment for the Tour in some way FINGERS CROSSED!!!
BabyDietrich Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Gorgeous song, her vocals are so sweet & beautiful - love everything about it. <3
loomer Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 This is a real grower. Deceptively not another song about time running out, but a much more positive variation on the theme.
karbatal Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 We all know Madonna can write amazing bridges, though. She's also a perfectionist. When a song doesn't have a bridge, I believe that it's because she didn't want it to have one. I think she pays a lot of attention to structure and song craft. Yes, somehow melody captures her and she knows when a bridge or prechorus enhance more meaning. In the 80s she was bridge galore, later she was more into other structures
karbatal Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Track 4 of My Rebel Heart as it should've been included in the standard. I always feel that all should have been on the standard. I guess Madonna too, that's why she didn't take a second on that edition that Interscope asked
Phineaspoe Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I always feel that all should have been on the standard. I guess Madonna too, that's why she didn't take a second on that edition that Interscope asked Of course! The crazy epic double album she was aiming for!
ITG Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 When I did my playlist, this was the first track. It's one of my most played RH tracks.
Iconic Fetus Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 The demo is better, at least it made it into the SD track list.
Phineaspoe Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I thought I was over this song (something about her voice in the chorus is grating to my ear) but I've come to appreciate it again. I just think it flows really well and the production is interesting. Where does it stand for you now?
Shane Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I thought I was over this song (something about her voice in the chorus is grating to my ear) but I've come to appreciate it again. I just think it flows really well and the production is interesting. Where does it stand for you now? Still love it! Like Beautiful Killer, or sounds like it could have comefrom her 80s work (not that the two songs sound anything alike lol).
Guest Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 it's just one of the album's best....and considering how great in general the album is.... wonderful lyrics, gorgeouse melody....
Bill Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Still one of my favorites from this album, along with Graffiti Heart. I always lump those 2 together in my mind for some reason.
Nman93 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Beautiful song. Absolutely love this and the rest of the few acoustic driven tracks off RH.
Illuminati Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I thought I was over this song (something about her voice in the chorus is grating to my ear) but I've come to appreciate it again. I just think it flows really well and the production is interesting. Where does it stand for you now? I love it!Think I get what you say about the vocals though. They sound kind of shrill.
MeakMaker Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Like the album version much better. It's one of her best tracks ever. Such a beautiful message as well. She should sing it live sometimes. Would be sick!
karbatal Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Oh I wish the concert were even longer and these songs were performed. I love this track so much
Phineaspoe Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Oh I wish the concert were even longer and these songs were performed. I love this track so much I definitely thought she'd turn this into her human rights/political interlude. It's such an immediate song, much more than the three other selected songs (I'm not saying that I prefer BT, but that it's simply an uplifting, super poppy song). She def hates Aviccii, doesn't she?
HavenHigh Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Why would she hate him, several of his songs are in the show...
5iVe Elements Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Best bonus track barring Autotune Baby
