Katy Perry has expressed her desires to join the Illuminati.

Not for any dark or sinister reason, however, but because she finds the idea of joining the cult "exciting". Of course, the singer has been rumoured – at least random and paranoid members of the internet community – to already be a member of said cult.

Following her performance of "Dark Horse" at the Grammys in January, news site (well…) Infowars headlined its review of her show as 'Illuminati priestess conducts witchcraft ceremony in front of the entire world.'

"If the Illuminati exist, I would like to be invited," Perry told Rolling Stone. "I see all that s**t and I’m like: 'Come on, let me in! I want to be in the club.'"

Posted

However, she went on to admit that she had "no idea" what Illuminati actually stands for. Or who they are.

"It sounds crazy. Weird people on the internet that have nothing to do find, like, strange triangles in your hand motions.

"I guess you’ve made it when they think you’re in the Illuminati," she added. "But I believe in aliens, so if people want to believe in Illuminati, great."

Other famous names often bandied about in Illuminati theorist circles include Jay Z, Kanye West, Beyonce and Madonna. If only they knew what those hand gestures really stood for in sign language.

XXL-you must have forgotten the mid-90s comments about other acts who didn't have a f***ing point of view. :) She brought up names in an NME, not the interviewer. In the Spin interview, though, she was asked about a question that mentioned one particular act (and then later in the interview mentioned her again, when talking about homogenous music, America buying that act's records, how it has nothing to do with art, etc.). She didn't do it often, but there were a couple of instances.

Since the K days, she's definitely not as bitchy as she once may have been. But we loved her bitchiness, didn't we?

She looks pretty ferosh here!

I gotta say, Catherine Penny hasn't been my cup of tea for awhile (she peaked with the Teenage Dream song for me), but she seems like a cool, sexy chick from California. Can't go wrong with one of those! I think it's cool she and Madooner hangout. Better her than Miley Cyrus. Hangout with ADULTS, Madonna! haha

I finally read the article about Katy Perry and what she says about Madonna is interesting. But the writer of the article is talking about how Katy wants to do an acoustic album when she is older but is happy doing pop now, but then they write Madonna hasn't done her acoustic album yet either. Apparently, they aren't aware of American Life which is full of acoustic guitar based songs. It always annoys me when music writers get such basic facts about Madonna wrong. Maybe it's just me, but it just seem to me to happen more with Madonna than other artists. Like people have such preconceptions about her and her music, they can't be bothered to do research to find out the true facts.

:clap::thumbsup:

Well some journalists still get her name wrong, let alone anything else

Nothing surprising

A good journalist will always report the accurate facts, regardless of their opinions

Most journalists suck ass
