So the stage techs had to put one up onstage while she was making her way to the front of the stage, but it wasn't set to her height. Now that you mention it it makes sense, because they always adjust these things in advance. She made it look like a part of the performance, like the pro she is. It's not a height issue, it's actually that the mic wasn't in the right direction. That's why she doesn't start the performance facing the audience. She was probably nervous to begin with but if they were having issues with the mic that no doubt added to it, but like the Queen she is she pulled it off brilliantly. Like how accomplished she was at this point. 8 years into her career. Can the same be said for ANY of the men or women in mainstream music today? No. It can't. The early 90s or more accurately 1989-1992 was her absolute peak. Even though most of the general public would swear that the 80s were her peak. Madonna was EVERYWHERE NONSTOP those 4 years, I think even if she never did the Sex book she would of still suffered a backlash regardless due to her overexposure Even Oliver Stone complained about Madonna constantly being on the cover of every magazine back in a 1991 interview The kids today just have no idea of Madonna's magnitude and pop culture omnipresence at that time. No other public personality was as famous or influential during that 90-92 era. She had taken the success and fame from the 80's and solidified herself as an ICON during this time.
