Flip The Switch Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Me either American Life is AWESOME, it's my favorite Madonna album actually, EVERY single track is killer.
vocalism Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 It's not her one of her best albums by a long stretch, but there's a lot to like/respect about AL.
dollhouse Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I have to say I agree some of his ratings even if they are unpopular opinions among fans.. Like Confessions, ROL and Hard Candy ratings here. Then of course, I think Erotica and BS are way too low.
loowee Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 American life is her second best album after Ray of Light. Like A Prayer comes very close at the 3rd place but Love Song/Keep It Together are whack!
loomer Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Like A Virgin is very girly and bubblegum and has a lot of nods to Motown and girl groups of the past and that makes it more timeless than True Blue that sounds like the soundtrack to a Judge Reinhold movie.
Crystal Coffin Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Like A Virgin is very girly and bubblegum and has a lot of nods to Motown and girl groups of the past and that makes it more timeless than True Blue that sounds like the soundtrack to a Judge Reinhold movie. TB is her worst 80s album. It's the least funkiest of the four, it's so WHITE-sounding.
HolidayGuy Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 TB did appear on the Black Albums chart (peaking a little higher than LAP), just on the strength of the Madonna name. But none of the singles cracked the black singles chart. LAP is her best album, followed closely by ROL. AL doesn't even register near the top. But, we fans will have different views on some albums.
