"Celebration" OFFICIAL TRACKLIST!

UPDATE... I've been just informed from a Warner Bros. source that the track listing that Madonnatribe has reported... is only 90% correct, and it is NOT finalized as a few changes are being made. The tracking list Tribe is reporting is what stands so far, yet isn't locked in place. I asked about the versions on the album being used, but have not gotten a reply back on that. I will post it as soon as I do.

Kinda obvious that they are doing changes considering how big the backlash has been. They have been seriously hurt by the feedback.

Oooh! Thanks for the info! This is getting so exciting! I can't wait to find out the official tracklisting as well as the versions being used. I've gotten over being upset over which particular versions of songs will be used and am now just enjoying the ride. I'm still anxious to find out though! Lol.

Well, I really don't know what to believe because Warner could just be BSing us to shut us up. LOL!!But like you, I really don't care because we know it will include almost all of her most influential songs and hits. Anything it doesn't include... I still have the songs. It's just nice to get some of the songs that haven't been remastered yet.

I don't buy that. That backlash happened over the late weekend. There is no way they got together that quick to say... "hey, we better change these songs" and I don't believe anything any fan said has give them reason to change the track listing.

Wow! Thank you. I will definitely look that up. If I have a hard time finding it, I'll let you know. How is the sound quality?

By the way, I was looking online for the 40 disc Japanese boxed set, but the cheapest price I could find it for was about $1,100. So much for that...lol. I think I will look into just purchasing all of the singles individually on Ebay. It's funny that I have all of Madonna's albums, all of the soundtracks that feature her songs, but only a handful of her singles. I've been a fan of hers since practically the beginning, so it is unfortunate that I didn't buy the singles years ago! Thank God for Ebay!

It's CD quality or equivalent being it was ripped from the CD's. The only one I noticed poor quality was "Who's That Girl" single. There is like a pop or crackle right at the beginning. But then again, that may have been an older version I uploaded to my Itouch.

Is the "power" of fans really that big then? Also, doesn't it mean they needed to have the LAP album versions remastered ready, if they could do the change just like this? And makes me wonder if the feedback of "Miles Away" was not as convincing?

I think LP edit is just another way of saying radio edit. Then again, it might be listed differently for a reason, that it's a new version.

There's a difference? Is the CD single in Q-sound?

Single version is Q-sound, Immaculate Collection version is not Q-sound. Not sure why, you would think it would be the other way around. ah well.

as previously mentioned, "Cherish (LP Edit)" is now listed on mtribe, replacing the immaculate collection version.

:)

As I stated above, I don't believe anything was changed because what fans were complaining. I mean let's rationalize this. We found out about the supposed latest track listing Saturday? Yes, a lot of people questioned "Miles Away" and "Hollywood", but it wasn't until Monday when shit hit the fan when fans saw the track listing with Immaculate Collection version. And even then, it seemed it wasn't until yesterday when people started suggesting in writing to Guy and coming up with a silly petition. There is no way they would have gotten together that quickly and changed the tracklisting.

I think either someone is making all this shit up, or the track listing was never finalized and/or Warner is either saving face or maybe there was no real statement on Warners part about being upset about the track listing leaked.

And if the fan base is that persuasive then why can't they put that same amount of energy in making sure her songs get played on radio and her sales go through the roof?

Does anyone have contact with Tribe?

i am a member there. the Admins and mods basically do not interact with members unless it's to bash us members and remind us stupid and pointless we are. and right now the Admins are going all fuckin apeshit on anyone there who even QUESTIONS the source of the tracklist. I was also threatened with a ban because I mentioned it was childish & immature because as a member, I am forbidden from typing out the madonnalicious.com (it turns into Madonnalicker). you are also forbidden from typing queenmadonna.com (0%.com) or madonnafanzine/drownedmadonna. just simply stupid if you ask me.

funny how I can be banned for mentioning a rival website's name, BUT, when another member was harrassing me and defaming me there, no one gave a shit. their priorties are seriously warped.

Oh good gawd??? Are you serious?? Though, I don't doubt it because I recall when I used to post there, a lot of weird stuff was going on. They had this big war with Drowned Madonna and vice versa. I still sometimes go to Fanzine, but both of those sites really turned me off.

But I don't doubt they have some good sources.

They obviously base their rules and management off George Orwell's "1984."

i'm sure they do. i think in this case their sources have been wrong or misled them, and instead of posting the tracklist as tentative, as they normally do, they posted it as FINAL, which of course us fans would take as, well FINAL, because normally they are credible.

but both MT & DM are obnoxious lately. i feel like i'm in church when Tribe's Webmaster accused me of casting my morals upon them earlier today. they're in serious need of some morals in my opinion if they allow members there to tell me that i would feel better about myself if i raped and molested children, then murdered them and commit suicide when i'm all done. (this because I lashed out at someone who was defending child porn and was dead serious about it.)

but whatever. they seem to forget that if it wasn't for the fans who visit their site in the first place, they wouldn't even exist.

Odd how things are changing little by little in terms of what MTribe edits.

That leaves 5 IC untouched in the post- Vogue, LAV, OYH, Borderline, CFY. Why even bother including those, unless it's an issue of run time. "Borderline" must be either the single version or TIC version- the original album version is missing some good sounds that the others have.

I've always thought they "shaped" their news. They will get a little info that may have been true at the time or maybe it was a rumor, but then they will revise it later. I can actually understand a site doing that being they are a fan site and want to keep fans updated. But I've always had issue with how some sites (not just Tribe) which will post "exclusive" to their stories and then some of the fans who frequent these sites think everything they post is always factual. The reason why Tribe is known for their accuracy is not because they post accurate news most of the time it's because they shape their info until they get it right. I have no doubt, they will eventually keep revising that track listing until it's been officially confirmed. Therefore; some of their devoted followers will claim they are ALWAYS accurate.

Do you mean 'Who's That Girl' with the cougar roar on the Holiday Collection??

No, no no no no no, i didnt even know that version of WTG was real.

I was talking about Cherish, and a cat. Not Who's That Girl and a cougar

I know what you're talking about. Not sure if it's really a cat, but on the Extended Version of Cherish, there is a sound that I guess does sound kinda like a cat meowing, almost sad like. I am not sure I would call it "screaming". In fact, I thought it was supposed to be a dolphin noise.

And Jonskis, that version of WHO'S THAT GIRL is actually an amateur remix. There is no Cougar roaring on the that song from the HOLIDAY COLLECTION.

When things are remastered, a mastering engineer goes back to the ORIGINAL (hopefully) tapes and remasters them. They never go back to the original CD versions and just rip them and make a new master. They replay the original tape (or get a flat, un-EQed mix if it's from ProTools or something), and then tweak the EQ, normalize, etc. until it sounds good. Or so they're supposed to.

Lose Burning Up, replace it with one more ballad, and things will be perfect!

But it's not our collection, it's Madonna's.

Maybe you meant to quote someone else, or maybe not? No doubt this thread has gone all sorts of directions. Though, I think you mistook what I was talking about here with Joe. I was speaking of the quality of the files in the torrent of the CD SINGLE DISCOGRAPHY I was speaking of earlier.

But I suspect you're right about what you were referring to regarding remastering. ;)

No worries you are not the only one! IC versions had their time back in 1990.

It's an opportunity for WB to put those edits out there now.

Actually Tribe is one of the few if not the only fansite who has no problem posting updates of previous news items saying things have changed - they do not simply edit or revise older items in the dark like other major sites do (drownedlicious, hint hint), they "take responsibility" of what they post.

This time they are updating the tracklist without making mention of it and I am pretty sure they have a reason to do such a thing as it's really a first for them.

I know for sure that it was not the tracklist to cause a stir but the details about which versions are in and where from, and that the management wasn't exactly happy with that (and the reaction).
