Guest Hafo
From Music Week: The only new entry to the artist album chart this week is Boombox. A new compilation of popular Kylie Minogue tracks in dance mixes, it debuts at number 28 on sales of 6,196 copies.
Queen Bitch
Cant get You Out of My Head came from Fever - both sold over a million. Maybe madonna has never made a single that people never liked that much to make it a million seller? Yes, but Fever's sales were gradual, not immediate the way Madonna's are on the back of a strong lead single, same with ABBA.

Guest Hafo
Some market info from zobbel.de: Singles sales in 2008 were a massive 115,139,176, an increase of 33.01% from 2007 (86,562,335), the highest ever annual total. The previous best was 89.1m shipments in 1979 although over the counter sales would be a lot lower. In 2003 the annual figure was 30,887,869 (all physical, over the counter sales with shipments being 36.425 million)) and the following year, 2004, this dropped to 26,496,837 over the counter physical sales, although there were also 5,579,808 digital sales, all of which didn't count towards the chart. In 2003 recorded digital sales numbered less than 400. Madonna had 53 songs in the YE Top 10.000 - the artist with the most songs in this chart.
