Russia conducts huge ‘nuclear war’ drills involving 40 million people

World War 3: Russia conducts huge ‘nuclear war’ drills involving 40 million people

A huge nuclear war drill involving 40 million Russians and 200,000 specialist rescue units has ramped up tensions between Russia and the West.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Kremlin tested out measures designed for a nuclear war with the West – upgrading bomb shelters and dusting off Soviet-era civil defence plans. Earlier this month, Russia held four days of emergency drills, in images released this week – in the biggest such drill since the collapse of the Soviet Union. The drills involved citizens trying on gas masks, while emergency workers in biohazard suits checked how bomb shelters were working. The move comes as relations between Russia and the West hit a new low over Russia’s involvement in the conflict in Syria.

Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev said last week in an interview with Ria Novosti, ‘I think the world has approached a dangerous threshold. We need to stop. Dialogue should be resumed. Stopping the dialogue has been the biggest mistake. The United States and European Union imposed economic sanctions over Russia’s actions in Ukraine in 2014 and thus far there has been little sign of a lifting of trade restrictions. Ties between Washington and Moscow have deteriorated further in the past month after the collapse of a ceasefire in Syria and intensified bombing on Aleppo by Syrian and Russian aircraft.

American politicians have also suggested that Russia is meddling in the U.S. presidential election next month.

I still remember when I was a child, every Wednesday at 1.00 p.m. there was a test alert. Testing the sirens.

Those drills are nonsense. Seriously? Do we really believe we will survive a nuclear war. I'd say hopefully not considering what's coming afterwords.

I agree, it's just a display of military prowess and it's a very dangerous game that can end very quickly due to the technological advancement we have nowadays, with no winners in sight on either side. Unfortunately we should ask that to NATO forces, EU and American leaders as well who have picked Syria, and Ukraine before, as a means of provocation to Russia. In Ukraine with the George Soros (same guy that made £1bn off the British infamous Black Wednesday back in 1992) financed faux anti Russian civil uprising and the appointment of a pro Western puppet president. But we should go back to Georgia in 2008. Which is basically what happened with the so called Arab Spring, in Egypt, Tunisia, Lybia and Syria from 2011 onwards. Destabilisation from within is the key to indefinite militarisation and an instrument to a wider goal.

NATO isn't ANY more inoccent than Russia or China. But most of the mainstream media is complicit and hell bent in fuelling this childish narrative of John Wayne the good guys vs the bad guys (axis of evil) joke. Nothing as ridiculously monodimensional and further from a much more layered truth.

All this stuff has got nothing to do with democracy and much less exporting it and everything to do with currency issues, the IMF wanting to introduce a universal currency basket in which the yuan will play the primary role over the dollar, ENERGY issues, central banking issues and of course a reorganisation of the geopolitical grid on a global scale

Now advocating a no fly zone in Syria is obviously the fastest way to WW3, something that has been in the making for decades now. 9/11 and the promotion of Islamic terrorism according to the convenience of the moment were just catalysts in the run up to it. And George Soros is one of the strongest supporters of Hillary Clinton of course.
