thebigham
botoxic at Pulse: These numbers are totally from memory and off the top of my head, but I believe these are the (very) rough Mediabase airplay peaks for Madonna's most recent singles. Music: ~80 million Don't Tell Me: ~65 million WIFLFAG: ~33 million Die Another Day: ~60 million American Life: ~26 million Hollywood: ~8 million Hung Up: ~32 million Sorry: ~7 million Jump: ~5 million Does anyone remember MATM? It peaked at #10 on Mediabase.

Yeah I think so too... which is totally unfair and undeserved... well well... I cross my fingers for 4M... but i'm afraid it won't be a radio hit... horn
So are these good #s??? Considering many are saying that today is the actual day that many stations will play it or not. Considering Madonna's last album airplay in US, 413 spins + 4.113 AI is an impressive start for her (Exclude "Latin" cos it wasn't available in Mediabase). TMB got 498 spins on it's 1st day and AI was 7.009 but bear in mind that TMB is riding on TEOM success. Can you recall how much TMB was on the 2nd day? TMB second day total spins was 1072 (+574) and AI was 13.541 m (+6.505m). Don't get upset / dramatic if 4MTSTW didn't match up with TMB second day achievement as the later was played on 5 formats (POP, HAC, RHY, UAC, URB). Guest Bad Robot
Let's slow down the overanalysis here. Until we get to week-to-week comparisons it's pretty tough to judge how it's doing. And comparing it to Mariah, Rihanna, Usher, etc... I realize people are excited and curious but for now these comparisons aren't going to tell you much of anything. thebigham
^I agree. It's not going to do as well as Usher or Mariah. Just accept that right now.
thebigham
The first post in this thread has the link to the airplay charts. Go there and look at the charts. Madonna is above Rihanna right now on the Top 40 chart.

It's had 1 day of airplay and people are already calling it a flop! Give it a couple of weeks and then we'll have a better idea as to wheither it will be a hit or not! I KNEW IT! They did the same with HU... Oh well... it's sad how fucked US radio is... In Europe it gets special treatment from the start... because it's a smash hit... but in the US people rather suck up to Mariah's shitty first single.. Usher's I can understand... that one is pretty good and he has been away for a while now... but I can never understand how a shitty song like TMB gets special treatment and Madonna's new 4M that shits all over TMB not... Also... 4M has US radio written all over it... if they don't play it they seriously has something against Madonna... because if it would be a Rihanna/Justin song... Mariah/Justin song... then it would have already got like 10million AI for sure or even more... I don't have hope in US radio... all bunch of crap... Guest flotando
Forget about reaching TMB achievements. Mariah got something like this: 1st day: 7000 2nd day: 13000 3rd day: 19000 4th day: 26000 It was so huge some people thought it was due to Payola. I would be happy if 4 minutes ends the week around 15.

So yeah my thoughts on US radio is not out of place in this thread! Because... what the US radio does... it will reflect on the US radio airplay chart... which is... the topic of this thread! deal with it

Guest Bad Robot
While I find Zezwer's relentless negativity unnecessary and largely misinformed, I don't think he's doing anything wrong. Turning this into a "radio request" thread, however, is not okay. Threads like that can go in the main Madonna or Hard Candy forums...
