usually i stay away from these discussions because the idiocy level is so high BUT what are you people talking about?

its a great review. WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT?

I agree it's a positive review but still think RS is a shadow of the mag it used to be. But yes, the great review streak continues uninterrupted!

MADONNA: il nuovo album «MDNA» ascoltato in anteprima da Sorrisi.com

16 Marzo 2012

In «Beautiful Killer», vicina in qualche modo alla già nota «Die another day» c’è una dedica a Alain Delon.

MADONNA: The new album "MDNA" listened to the preview image to Sorrisi.com

March 16, 2012

On March 26, Madonna returns on stage. It does this by "MDNA", the solo album the most discussed and anticipated in 2012. He said everything and the opposite of everything in recent weeks. We have listened to the disc. And I will tell in the anteprima.Aperto deluxe cd (that Universal and Madonna believe to be the official version, the other is only the most "economic") are an eight-page booklet with a few clicks of the artist that have already been disseminated over the network. Nothing more, if not the credits.

The tracklist travels fast on two lines. Where the pace is relentless, the songs are less intimate and clubs. And unlike most pop songs and "slow" are the most personal and intense. The distribution of spare part from risk, from transgression.

"Girls Gone Wild," the first single, tells us immediately that we are returning to resume conceptually all the good (and it was a lot) of "Confessions on a Dancefloor", almost forgetting the whole experience "Hard Candy". The team Benassi, the protagonist of the piece and the most interesting things on the disc, enchants us. It pushes the accelerator.

But it is with "Gang Bang" that Madonna (the first track produced by William Orbit) really gets on your hands, here we are almost into the most elegant technology, night clubs, underground. The sound is the key, the voice guidance. The bridge (this one in particular, but also those of the disk) are the most beautiful ever heard in a pop album in recent years.

"I'm addicted" is the demonstration that the time fans were heard, and that "Give me all your luvin 'was only an experimental trip up to the potential that still can offer Madonna. There is complexity, after three songs, taste is strong, the body wants to dance.

If it continued like that, "MDNA" would be a job that would leave amazed, even shocked too. And in this sense is Martin Solveig to restore calm and lower your heartbeat with its "Turn Up The Radio", where the identity of the French deejay is so explicit that makes it impossible to find a difference with her previous repertoire. Madonna wanted his style, he has had.

Because now for granted "GMAYL", we dive into the European sound "to Lady Gaga" to "Some Girls." From this point on, Madonna goes over the best of his music of the last twenty years, condensandola sounds and ideas. In "Superstar" is the sound of summer, very fresh. Remember "Love Profusion" enchants with its "Uh la la" hypnotic.

The focus was with the collaboration (useful, substantial) Nicki Minaj on "I do not give a ...". The track is very rich. There is a piece of rock in the introduction, there is no cheesy r'n'b, there is a rise in the textual quality. And a final frame.

That beauty found in the expression "I'm a sinner," the ninth track on the disc. The musical atmosphere of elegant happy hour, filled with choruses, says (So does) the title of that sense of guilt a little 'playful and a little' no closure with a nod to the litany of saints. The new challenge that will leave a mark.

If "Love spent" feels so much the mention of "Hung Up" and the musical references that already evoked the cult song in "Masterpiece" echo the Latin sound, with a sprinkling of Rihanna and the use of the voice that brings to the memory of Evita '96.

"Free Falling" is the culmination of this emotional journey. There is nothing to dance, there is a real text, and a strong perception of the song that comes closest approach noise. The first CD is rewarding, but it lacks something, that we find the second disk.

In "Beautiful Killer", somewhat close to the already known "Die Another Day" is a dedication to Alain Delon. Surpassed the cool breeze of "I fucked up," is "B-Day Song" (featuring MIA) that we find another good potential single. Madonna in this case gives a beautiful slap to all the divas "vintage pop" of recent years, proposing in its way the 60/70 the most fun, in an original way.

There could be best closing with "Best Friend" (forgive us if we put aside the remix of "Give Me All Your Luvin 'of LMFAO, a piece out of you already know well). Try looking at the cover while you are listening. It is a manifesto of this song "MDNA". A great song, fun, immersive, new. A perfect conclusion.

Once again Italy, thanks to Benny Benassi and his cousin Alle, has become competitive with ideas and energy. On this record Madonna has done a great job, winning the game with two goals in more than in France and England.

It's a glowing review - the reviewer is a patriot and favours the Benassi tracks, saying that all up, Benassi and his cousin have done a great job on the album (the last line doesn't say that Madonna has done a great job - Google Translate Fail ;)), scoring two goals more than France (Solveig) and England (Orbit).

He says that both Universal and Madonna consider the deluxe version of the album the "official" version (the standard edition is just the cheaper option in terms of price). He loves B-Day and considers it a potential single. He says that the standard CD is satisfying but something is missing, which he then says is on the deluxe CD. "Turn Up The Radio" is pretty much the same sound as Martin Solveig's previous work ("Madonna wanted his sound - she got it"). "Superstar" is summery and fresh. The most danceable songs are the least intimate, but the more pop/ballad tracks are the most personal. GGW shows that this album is going back to the style of the best of COADF ("and there was a lot of good on that album") - he says that Benassi enchants us with this one. There's a comment about how the bridges (especially on "Gang Bang") are pretty much the best seen on any pop album in recent years.

It really is a glowing review. I haven't looked at the Google translated article (apart from the last line), but I know that online translators tend to mix up pronouns and always miss the subtleties of the language, so proceed with caution! :) I don't have time to translate the whole thing, but hopefully, the above gives you a sense of the tone of the review. The guy loves it!

The album is the legitimisation of a type of dance music that until recently lived in the dance clubs sphere, which Madonna today reinterprets in a pop production, although the pop element in some tracks is completely distorted.

Even though I’m no music journalist, thanks to the invitation of a music producer friend who thought to include me in this exciting pre release, I was given the privilege to listen to the most anticipated album of the year MDNA by Madonna. Here I am sharing some of my impressions, avoiding those nuggets which you can find anywhere on collaborations, gossip and rumours.

Firstly, I would like to say that MDNA is a real album, once again Lady Ciccone built a compact and unique art work and does not give into the temptation to use iTunes and the internet as distributors of single radio hits. This work is like a novel, made up of many chapters, written in conjunction with William Orbit, Benny Benassi e Martin Solveig which tell a story of which Madonna is the director, clearly with the intention of leading us in a new era of her musical career. She does it with a real musical manifesto, with her usual self assuredness, believing to the end in herself and in her pride of being the queen of the frontier, aware and sometimes even arrogant: Madge, you afford to be.

MDNA is a universe of dance music, but never banal. Are the dance floors in crisis? Ciccone creates a dance album (mainly techno-house) because dance music has become listening music. The Queen of Pop today has sealed this evolution of dance music. I want to set into your minds that a portion of tracks from MDNA will become food for DJs the world over to devour, but especially its going to be music for billions of people to listen to and for kids who to dance to it into a web cam in their bedrooms. It’s the legitimisation of a type of dance music that until today lived in the dance club sphere, which Madonna today reinterprets in a pop production, although the pop element in some tracks is completely distorted. MDNA starts with a bang and is totally experimental, then it reassuringly melts into pop whirls, many of the tracks in the first portion of the album are destructured , in a true demolition of the pop rules and rather contain within the same track inflated changes of direction of sound, arrangement and melody. I was caught off guard many times during the first time I listened to the album when songs completely changed face in the middle or three quarters of the way through. its pure folly, which no artist who wants to sell albums would dream to do, but you are Madge, and you can do whatever you wish.

In what I believe are her best and most avant-garde tracks, the ear’s attention is kidnapped by the facets of dark sounds mixed with heavy house rhythms, sometimes bloated and lengthened synthetically with a sound aesthetic from the nineties, with rough scratches which lash the heart, which open to brief, intense breaths of pop melodies, doled out as though they were deep breaths of pure oxygen of  a nostalgia for a past that will no longer return, and therefore they’re immediately chocked by avalanches of dance floor hammers.

Although I have listened to the album only twice, I feel that I may declare my preference for two tracks: “Girl Gone Wild” and “Gang Bang. On another note, I heard in the whole album an almost obsessive care for the sound design, almost as though it was the new sound track for a mega video game.

Finally, I want to tell you all, provided you trust me, that this is without a doubt one of the most important albums of Madonna’s career.

An astonishing review from the most important italian journal Corriere della Sera :

Madonna Peccatrice Pentita

Madonna repenting sinner

Act of contrition and dance music.

Hints at Lady Gaga, a few regrets about her former husband

"My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart" Madonna recites in her new record "MDNA". Several saints are mentioned in the track "I'm a Sinner" among them San Sebastian, Saint Christopher and Saint Anthony, in addition to references to Mary and Jesus Christ. The album is released worldwide on March the 26th, except for Germany where it comes out on the 23rd (might be the spread?). The album looks promising and like it's about to deliver fireworks, since it has totalized the highest number of pre-orders in the history of I-Tunes. The team behind it is first-rate in terms of writing, production (William Orbit, Demacio Castellon - Nelly Furtado's husband) and execution (Nicky Minaj, LMFAO, MIka ...). Although in the creative department a duo made up by two Italian cousins stands out: Benny and Ale Benassi, the former who doesn't speak English is regarded as a genius by Madonna and the entire staff.

In many of the songs Madonna publically deals with her private life. Particularly moving are "I don't give A", "I Fucked Up" and "Best Friend". In the first one she admits to her failures in her private life. " I tried to be your wife....." In "I Fucked Up" she reasserts that no one is better than her at making mistakes while in "Best Friend" she explains that parting ways with her husband, based on the assumption that love is eternal, immortal and unassailable got her to lose her best friend.

She doesn't spare a dig at Lady Gaga and it will surely feed the war between the two fandoms that's been going on online for a while now. In the last part of "I Don't Give A" the US rapper of African descent Nicky Minaj proclaims at the top of her voice: "There is only one Queen and that's Madonna, bitches".

The structure of the record (we're referring to the deluxe version including 17 tracks vs the standard one containing 12) is really interesting. First of all there's the co-existence between tecno swaggering, frivolous light songs with deeply introspective/retro melodic moments (see "Masterpiece" the recent Golden Globe winning song). Then there's the sequence: starting from extreme dance technicalities, passing through classic pop and finally reaching auteur songwriting atmospheres. Girl Gone Wild is the album opener featuring an act of contrition spoken along an organ instrumental part, followed by a saraband pure Madonna style where all the Benassi's creative folly erupts. Then there's Gang Bang, a club anthem with a distinctive William Orbit feel to it, quite reminiscent of Ray Of Light: a crazy rhythmics whose climax culminates in a Madonna orgasm similar to the one simulated by Irene Papas in a famous record by Aphrodite's Child 50 years ago.

"I'm Addicted", a track penned by Madonna and the Benassi duo is playful and captivating with a pumping bassline: as danceable as ever with a catchy smart chorus.

Madonna could succeed in having the older audience to digest certain sounds, thus creating a public made up of tecno-grandparents. "Give me all your luvin'" and "Some Girls" follow: Madonna is once again at her audaciously funkiest. Her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes contributes backing vocals to "Superstar" while Madonna plays the guitar on the melodic Falling Free.

As a whole MDNA is a nice and varied record. This article was written based on one only listen, with notes taken on paper due to the requisition of PCs and phones prior to the listening session.

The only so-and-so Italian review so far comes from the local edition of Wired.

Basically they barely speak about the album but go down onto an essai about how Madonna may still be the queen of Pop but she is lame at using the social media, where Lady Gaga still reins.

Biased from the start, basically. It's like talking about MDNA and state that most of the world's female models are taller than Madonna. So what?

http://daily.wired.it/news/internet/2012/03/16/madonna-nuovo-album-social-68547.html

They look more concerned to make sure they don't bow to anyone than to write decent stuff. Typical Italian snobbish intellectualism.

Thanks for saying this

Another thing that diminishes this country, aside from the Vatican mafia-style hold on it

If anything Madonna refraining from the extensive use of social media is what's keeping her interesting and different from the rest. That article from MTV Asia explains this brilliantly. They get paid so much money and they don't know shit. Somebody just put them there as it often happens in this country

Well the most of the Italian reviews stresses out on the "we had the exclusive chance to listen to the album in advance and this is our track-by-track review". So the real news becomes that they listened to it.

It's funny, as the listening sessions became in the UK two weeks ago, then there were a major listening party in London on Wed last week and a bunch of people listening to the album in Milan (but in Milan we only got two reviews - TOH! and Tribe - because the rest was monthly press).

Obviously they have a huge focus on the religious content in the album, but what would you expect from the land of Papa-Ratzy?

This way all the reviews sound a little bit the same. Guy Ritchie here, Lola there, Gang Bang, bla bla.

That's why I felt the need to write something a little different, taking quite a risk as a) English is still not my language and b) I knew I was going to get quite some shit for doing it.

The best comment I got was that what I wrote came from Madonna's "newer, fiercer, camper audience", and we would never let someone "who appreciated Like A Prayer, True Blue or Ray Of Light" get to review this record on our site. It hurt a bit, but it made my day.

I Know It's Going To Be A Good Day

Let's face it: MDNA is immense.

Sixteen original songs is something we don't get everyday, and when you listen to it in a single shot, it seems even longer. It never ends, in the good way.

It has so many faces, and still you experience it as a whole.

The sound in MDNA is hard and fierce. When we got to listen to the record at the label, one of the journalists in the listening room was coming from a magazine completely focused on sound and music technology. He was overwhelmed. We actually had to ask him if that was in a good or in a bad way, because he was left speechless. It was the first, by the way.

Madonna's voice changes constantly, from one song to another, and even inside a same song. There are high notes you've never heard before, not even in Evita. Rough vocals that will made you wonder if that is actually Madonna, and sweet whispers that will reassure you that she is. The album still has the happy side M has been talking much about. She loves to say that's unapologetic. She may be lying. You'll find out soon.

You can certainly perceive Madonna letting herself go, and getting ready to face her demons. It's not that all she wants is just you giving her All You Luvin'.

She fooled you. And now you're trapped.

Now you have to listen to her stories, you'll feel her pain - and it will feel good. (Only the one who inflicts the pain can take it away).

In this album I can find a sort of unintentional beauty. Once again, I think this happens because this is how MDNA turned out, it wasn't planned. It tells many stories, but most of all it tells its own - the story of recording an album and how ideas, demos, feelings and backgrounds melt together into a work of art.

It echoes all the Madonna you know, and unveils one you don't know yet. It is as confessional as her most intimate releases, as strong as her best disco stompers, and as contemporary as... well, as MDNA.

If you are weak, gave into temptation, and listened to the snippets (yes, Internet is Evil) don't worry. Listening to MDNA will wash all your sins away.

Mark you calendar and make sure you save extra time for the release date. You'll be wanting to listen to MDNA over and over again. I certainly am.

Madonna : MDNA (Review)

http://www.hit-channel.com/music/reviews/pop-album/item/6521#.T2SzFO6rjBs.twitter

Girl Gone Wild

It's So Hypnotic / It's So Erotic / Desire / Fire / Hey Hey Hey A Good Girl Gone Wild / But I'm A Bad Girl Anyway"

Gang Bang

"Bitch Out Of Order / Bat Out Of Hell / Fish Out Of Water / I'm Scared, Can't You Tell? / Bang Bang Shoot You Dead"

I'm Addicted

Το τραγούδι είναι το αποτέλεσμα της συνεργασίας με THE DEMOLITION CREW και αποτελεί το πιο πειραματικό τραγούδι του άλμπουμ: "Feels Like A Drug / And I Can't Get Enough / And It Fits Lke A Glove / I'm Addicted To Your Love" σε παρασέρνει σε μια δίνη ηλεκτρονικών ήχων.. like like!

Turn Up the Radio

"You Ask Me Where I Wanna Go / We Gotta Turn Up The Radio / There's Something You Don't Need To Know / They Set Me Down On The Radio"

Give Me All Your Luvin' - featuring Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.

Some Girls

Όπως και το "Gang Bang", κινήτε παράλληλα με το "Confessions On A Dancefloor" και το "Hard Candy" ταιριάζει τέλεια στο άλμπουμ και σας φέρνει στην ευχάριστη θέση να χορέψετε ακόμα και αν δεν θέλετε...

"You Made Me A Promise / To Make Me A Star / You Made A Promise / I'd Get To The Top / Some Gilrs Always Get What They Wanna / All I Seem To Get Is The Other This Won't Last For Long / Not Forever / And The Champagne Makes It Taste So Much Better"

Superstar

You're My Gangster / You're Like Al Capone / You're Like Caesar Stepping On To The Throne / You're Abe Lincoln Coz You're Fight For What's Right / You're My Angel Bringing Peace To My Life / Uh LaLa You're My Superstar / Uh LaLa Love The Way That You Are"

I Don't Give A... - featuring Nicki Minaj

" There’s only one Queen, and that’s Madonna, Bitch!"Το τραγούδι, αποτελεί το πιο σίγουρο δρόμο για την Αμερικάνικη αγορά!

"Wake Up / This Is Your Life / Children On Your Own / Gotta Plan On The Phone / Meet The Press / Buy A Dress / Do All This To Impress"

I'm A Sinner

Love Spent

Don't Try To Take Me / Like You Took Your Money / Take Me In Your Arms / Until Your Last Breath / I Want You To Hold Me / Like You Hold Your Money / Yeah I'm Love Spent / Wondering Where The Love Went"

Masterpiece

Falling Free

"We're Both Free. Free To Go"

Κάπου εδώ ολοκληρώνεται η stadard version του "MDNA". Αλλά συνεχίζουμε και με τα bonus track της DeLuxe Edition.

Beautiful Killer

I Fucked Up

B-Day Song - featuring M.I.A.

Με αυτό το τραγούδι καθίσταται σαφές ότι ο Bonus Disc της Deluxe Edition του "MDNA" σίγουρα δεν θεωρείται ως filler ή σαν μια στρατηγική μάρκετινγκ για να πουλήσει μερικά περισσότερα αντίτυπα.Η συνεργασία με τη M.I.A είναι ίσως το πιο αντισυμβατικό κομμάτι του δίσκου,ένα αστείο κομμάτι σχεδόν παιδικό...Θα μπορούσε να κάνει ζευγάρι με το "Gimme All Your Lovin" , όσο αφορά την απλότητα...

Best Friend

Τελευταίο bonus του δίσκου είναι το Party Rock remix του Give Me All Your Luvin’ (Featuring LMFAO).

Εν κατακλείδι: “There’s only one Queen, and that’s Madonna, Bitch!” (Nicki Minaj – I Don’t Give A).

Madonna : MDNA (Review)

Girl Gone Wild

Already been chosen as the second single and is already on the internet, "GGW" is already his song "MDNA" which traverses the path shown by the Madonna "Confessions On A Dancefloor" and "Hard Candy": a perfect dance song to open the new album! It's So Hypnotic / It's So Erotic / Desire / Fire / Hey Hey Hey A Good Girl Gone Wild / But I'm A Bad Girl Anyway "

Gang Bang

This is a 'killer beat' irresistible, full of deep resonating bass violently in the stomach. Net adrenalini.Mas liked very much and believe it is one of the strongest perhaps the strongest song of the whole discography tis.Ena of the key songs "MDNA" ...

"Bitch Out Of Order / Bat Out Of Hell / Fish Out Of Water / I'm Scared, Can't You Tell? / Bang Bang Shoot You Dead "

I'm Addicted

The song is the result of collaboration with THE DEMOLITION CREW and is the most experimental song on the album: "Feels Like A Drug / And I Can't Get Enough / And It Fits Lke A Glove / I'm Addicted To Your Love" in swept into a maelstrom of electronic sounds .. like like!

Turn Up the Radio

If it's true what they say they do not get out alive from the 80s, there will be a reason. Well the Madonna is a living legend in the 80's and ate with a spoon. The song is pure sound Solveig, the Madonna to the "guides" in the 80's. In a word: Bingo!

"You Ask Me Where I Wanna Go / We Gotta Turn Up The Radio / There's Something You Do not Know The Need / They Set Me Down On The Radio"

Give Me All Your Luvin ' - Featuring Nicki Minaj & MIA

Ok we know this by heart ... We have no comment. We love and love and it shows!

Some Girls

It is a blend of pop-funk, a fun song that will leave you with a smile. Like the "Gang Bang", along with the mobile "Confessions On A Dancefloor" and "Hard Candy" album fits perfectly and brings you happy to dance even if you do not want ...

"You Made Me A Promise / To Make Me A Star / You Made A Promise / I'd Get To The Top / Some Gilrs Always Get What They Wanna / All I Seem To Get Is The Other This Won't Last For Long / Not Forever / And The Champagne Makes It Taste So Much Better "

Superstar

In Superstar find the participation of her daughter Lourdes with beautiful voice, she seems to have talent and song ikanotita.Ena pleasant and carefree. You will be surprised to see one of the Hit of the summer.

You're My Gangster / You're Like Al Capone / Like You're Stepping On The Caesar The Throne / You're Abe Lincoln Coz You're Fight For What's Right / You're My Angel Bringing Peace To My Life / Uh LaLa You're My Superstar / Uh LaLa Love The Way That You Are "

I Don't Give A. .. - Featuring Nicki Minaj

Direct from the rap Nicki Minaj which comes in the middle of the song in a little "normal" song - but as always - do not hesitate in front of banality. "There's only one Queen, and that's Madonna, Bitch!" The song is the safest way for the American market!

"Wake Up / This Is Your Life / Children On Your Own / Gotta Plan On The Phone / Meet The Press / Buy A Dress / Do All This To Impress "

I'm A Sinner

We were turning back. The Madonna takes us back to '60s pop. The production is part of the Orbit, which rather shamelessly invokes the bridge of his guitar "Ray of Light". But the result is very good!

Love Spent

Enough with the closing of Trinity dancefloor.Dialeimma.I (at least in stadard version of "MDNA") gradually transforms into ballad ... It begins with a curious cross between electronic and country, a thoughtful and evocative song that pleasantly surprised. The preview we heard the other day is part of the bridge, which is vital to any tragoudi.Edo is long and rich, as rarely happens.

Do not Take Me The Try / Like You Took Your Money / Take Me In Your Arms / Until Your Last Breath / I Want You To Hold Me / Like You Hold Your Money / Yeah I'm Love Spent / Wondering Where The Love Went "

Masterpiece

The BPM continue to decline ... The song is known from the soundtrack of the WE. The song earned him a Golden Globe as Madonna in the best original song in tainia.Archika wondered how it could fit on the album, but as we go, the more we realize that this is an emotional journey in several stages, and the song fits perfectly.

Falling Free

It's the last song of the Standard Edition and is dedicated to a great romance: the clearance process is completed and returned again to believe in Agapi.Mia ballad wins at perhaps more than the "Masterpiece". A ballad waited years by Madonna!

"We're Both Free. Free To Go"

Somewhere here completes the stadard version of "MDNA". But we continue with the bonus track of the DeLuxe Edition .

Beautiful Killer

With this open the bonus track. O Martin Solveig and Madonna are known and have indicated they have an obsession with some French and Italian films of the 50s and 60s. This song is dedicated to the actor Alain Delon legend. Here's the translation thanks to Google Translate:

We know that fans do not see Madonna's time to get their hands or to download and pass on their ipod "MDNA" singer's new album. Patience, a few more days until Monday on March 26 that "MDNA" the twelfth studio album Madonna released. The Hit Channel was able to hear the new album expected much before it released and brings you his impressions through a "track by track" review.

Bang Bang Shoot You Dead"

I'm Addicted

"You Ask Me Where I Wanna Go / We Gotta Turn Up The Radio / There's Something You Don't Need To Know / They Set Me Down On The Radio"

Give Me All Your Luvin '- featuring Nicki Minaj & MIA

You're My Gangster / You're Like Al Capone / You're Like Caesar Stepping On To The Throne / You're Abe Lincoln Coz You're Fight For What's Right / You're My Angel Bringing Peace To My Life / Uh LaLa You're My Superstar / Uh LaLa Love The Way That You Are "

"Wake Up / This Is Your Life / Children On Your Own / Gotta Plan On The Phone / Meet The Press / Buy A Dress / Do All This To Impress"

I'm A Sinner

Don't Try To Take Me / Like You Took Your Money / Take Me In Your Arms / Until Your Last Breath / I Want You To Hold Me / Like You Hold Your Money / Yeah I'm Love Spent / Wondering Where The Love Went "

But we continue with the bonus track of the DeLuxe Edition.

Beautiful Killer

With this open the bonus track. O Martin Solveig and Madonna are known and have indicated they have an obsession with some French and Italian films of the 50s and 60s. This song is dedicated to the actor Alain Delon legend. And if the "beauty" of the title is reminiscent of the "Stranger" in Austin Powers, know that this is not the only public mention of this song ... A Elettro Pop song that turns into pure dance.

Madonna Online Review [in Portugese]

Google Translate

MadonnaOnline hear the new album from Madonna! Check out what we think of the MDNA!

As with the Hard Candy, your MadonnaOnline could hear the new Madonna album at first hand and share the experience of this latest work of the queen of pop. This is the first vehicle to publish a national criticism of MDNA. As from this week, magazines and newspapers also publish their opinions.

The task is not so easy: just listen to once, without interruption, brings an avalanche of information to be processed in the brain, and certainly one or the other opinion here will change with new and repeated listening.

But the fact is that you can breathe relief: Madonna back with everything! By joining a team heavy producers such as Martin Solveig, Benny Benassi and William Orbit, she's useless to come to war armed with their best ammunition in arrangements and songs that have the pretension to become the new hits of his career.

The wait was four years after the departure of his, until then, Warner and eternal separation from her husband Guy Ritchie. How would the new material? What trend would follow her? Madonna has always left a clue about what he could do in the near future. Justify My Love was just the tip of the iceberg as sexual exposure that became the album Erotica. Send electronic Bedtime Story already indicated its inclination to come in this new world diving headlong into Ray of Light. And currently, only served Celebration of appetizer to indicate that Madonna wanted to ignite a dance floor. And the result is there!

Eyes wide attention in the pop singers were getting ready in ambush just as she watched everything, Madonna brings a rich material production, modern, more danceable than ever with content in your exquisite letters, something not seen since so intense American Life . The mixture appears here in the compositions even more personal and aggressive. Interestingly, she has felt shaken by candidates are trying to steal his throne or relationships that have gone right, and thus wants to put a stop and go screaming at everyone about what you think. And the best, the irony is even sharper.

MDNA is a synthesis of dance tracks with other more dense, deep, and can not help but feel autobiographical. Of course this reminds its award-winning and acclaimed album Ray of Light, and so she went after William Orbit, which is present in six songs. But while the album of 1998 was more harmonious whole, MDNA stands out because it is set.

The production is vigorous, lively, rich and diverse. In Gang Bang, for example, are no less than eight people credited in the letter, including singer Mika. Never an album by Madonna was attended by so many people. And never a Madonna album was so long with so many songs. There are 17 deluxe version and we think that other new songs were not recovered and may leak any day. (With his blessing, Our Lady of Spills)

His voice appears highlighted by several effects, sometimes even exaggerated, most of the tracks, but in some few-other, we can see something softer, natural, cool! And lovely!

Martin Solveig, who drew attention for his album Smash Madonna, I generated a great deal of anxiety because I was a fan of his work and wanted to be surprised. In the final result, I still think the productions of William Orbit were higher and, as always, impeccable.

This certainly raises questions were the choices of the single Give Me All Your Luvin and Girl Gone Wild, which are not so powerful and strong as other songs on the album. Turn Up the Radio, for example, in my opinion would be a most suitable choice to be more sticky, with a blistering pace for clues and potential to become an anthem.

At thirty-year career, it is hard not to praise any work of this artist who presents us with his professionalism and dedication. The Queen of Pop returns to his throne after a period of rest and has worked in the live version of the album with a new tour that will be even bigger and better those already made. Subjects and we'll be here, ready to once again be surprised. Thank you, Madonna!

Below, the track by track comments:

Girl Gone Wild

Written by Madonna, Jenson Vaughan, Alessandro Alle Benassi, Benny Benassi Marco

Produced by Madonna, Marco Benny Benassi, Alle Benassi Alessandro

The track opens the album with Madonna asking God's forgiveness for having offended you but that is not to blame for being a bad girl. With an electrical output, the initial strike reminds the same basis as used in the Benny Benassi remix of Celebration and tells the story of a girl who gets drunk and freak out on the dance floor. The track is good but seems to have no breath to become an anthem.

Note 8

Gang Bang

Written by Madonna, William Orbit, Priscilla Hamilton, Keith Harris, Jean-Baptiste, Mika, Don Juan Demarco Demo Casanova, Stephen Kozmeniuk

Produced by Madonna, William Orbit, Demolition Crew

The most surprising track on the album. It seems that Dita is back and more vicious, dark, shiny and full of black humor. With participation of the singer Mika lyrically, is a slower production and Madonna tells of the misadventures of having given a shot in the head of her lover and is afraid to go to hell because if this happens, it will repeat all over again . "If you act like a bitch going to die like a bitch." The music is pulsating, with whispers and full of sounds of gunfire and triggers. Excellent!

Note 10

I'm Addicted

Written by Madonna, Alessandro Alle Benassi, Benny Benassi Marco

Produced by Madonna, Marco Benny Benassi, Alle Benassi Alessandro

Progressive and well established track that grows with many effects on the voice, overflowing energy. Madonna says she is addicted to love someone and repeats at the end of MDNA, MDNA, MDNA, which also refers to ecstasy (MDMA).

Note 9

Turn Up the Radio

Written by Madonna, Martin Solveig, Michael Tordjman, Jade Williams

Produced by Madonna, Martin Solveig

Without doubt my favorite band for the track! Lentil starts and bursts into a breathtaking animation becoming one of the brightest moments of the album. Full of noises, voices and effects overlap. This is a classic pop, chubby, with impeccable production and should have been the first or second single.

Note 10

Give Me All Your Luvin

Written by Madonna, Martin Solveig, Nicki Minaj, Maya Arulpragasam, Michael Tordjman

Produced by Madonna, Martin Solveig

The band worked cheerleader for presentation at the Super Bowl but does not fit at all with this album, much less be the first single. The letter is interesting and full of ironies (as I wrote here) but I imagine Madonna teenager overshadowed the chance to become a hit.

Note 7

Some Girls

Written by Madonna, William Orbit, Klas Ahulund

Produced by Madonna, William Orbit

With typical production of William Orbit track shows that the voice of Madonna modified by auto-tune to the point of merging with the melody. The beginning is full of noises with voices talking about girls and sentences simple letter speaks of preference "some girls". The production is neat and has the famous guitar William Orbit to increase as it already did in Stranger Beautful and Amazing.

Note 8

Superstar

Written by Madonna, Indigo Hardy Muanza

Produced by Madonna, Hardy Indiigo Mwanza, Michael Malih

Fofuxo moment ... to sing along and declare his love for her boyfriend. Madonna compares her lover to various types of man who admires and famous quotes. The melody is tacky and sensational. Undoubtedly deserves to be single. There is also the participation of Lola on backing vocals.

Note 10

I Do not Give A

Written by Madonna, Martin Solveig, Nicki Minaj, Julien Jabre

Produced by Madonna, Martin Solveig

Another highlight of the album! Perhaps the band more Americanized, with that pace they should love. Madonna describes her routine turning the gun against whom the criticism and left up to the ex-husband Guy Ritchie. The rhythm is infectious and has the participation of Nicki Minaj, which here appears far more original. And speaking "Madonna is the only queen, bitch", just to let anyone forget.

Note 10

I'm a Sinner

Written by Madonna, William Orbit, Jean-Baptiste

Produced by Madonna, William Orbit

Madonna Ray Of Light channeling and William Orbit is back in his comfort zone with that mixture of beats and guitars that everyone loves. Madonna talks about various saints, Jesus Christ and there are voices to whispers. Good!

Note 9

Spent Love

Written by Madonna, William Orbit, Jean-Baptiste, Priscilla Hamilton, Alain Whyte, Ryan Buendia, Michael McHenry

Produced by Madonna, William Orbit

Linda with guitar in the background and effects characteristic of William Orbit but gradually grows into a hit while striking a delicate voice comes up and reworked with vocoder.

Note 9

Masterpiece

Written by Madonna, Julie Frost, Jimmy Harry

Produced by Madonna, William Orbit

Simple and goes straight to the point. When word leaked, it looked like a demo for simplicity in a production of William Orbit, but in no way diminishes its beauty. Madonna sings about the misadventures of loving someone so beautiful and inaccessible as a rare work of art accompanied by strings.

Note 9

Free Falling

Written by Madonna, Laurie Mayer, William Orbit, Joe Henry

Produced by Madonna, William Orbit

Dramatic, sincere and simple. The beautiful voice of Madonna appears here with orchestra and strings and sings about letting someone who loves to follow his own path. The lyrics are well thought out, full of metaphors about hate, love and regret. Possibly the best track on the album but definitely one of the best career of Madonna.

Note 10

Beautiful Killer

Written by Madonna, Martin Solveig, Michael Tordjman

Produced by Madonna, Martin Solveig

Another big surprise of the album, which is part of the deluxe version. Madonna's voice has never been so clear and soft and the beat is exciting to be mixed with strings and whispers. In the letter she tries to understand why the love is gone. As in Gang Bang, there are a few shots. The beat reminds the great song The Night Out Martin Solveig. She revealed that she wrote in tribute to the actor Alain Delon.

Note 10

I Fucked Up

Written by Madonna, Martin Solveig, Julien Jabre

Produced by Madonna, Martin Solveig

Well autobiographical, Madonna comes clean about a relationship gone but would like to go back and do not know how. He apologizes for not having worked out and thought it would be an unbreakable relationship. Wow. It's slow, but the beat is strong, well marked, accelerates in the middle and there are guitars in the end.

Note: 9

B-Day Song

Written by Madonna, Maya Arulpragasam, Martin Solveig

Produced by Madonna, Martin Solveig

Unpretentious and silly, Madonna created a song for change songs around the world birthday. The pace is pretty and the melody is in the head with the "na na na na na ....". But there is no great things and was wisely removed from the standard version and became a bonus track of the deluxe. There is also the participation of M.I.A. that you can not understand.

Note: 8

Best Friend

Written by Madonna, Alessandro Alle Benassi, Benny Benassi Marco

Produced by Madonna, Demolotion Crew

Co-Produced by Marco Benny Benassi, Alle Benassi Alessandro

Another good song to close the loop. A great electro beat and again questions about the loss of a love and who was also his best friend. It ends in a way no hits, only with your voice in the background. Beautiful and great!

Note: 9

Can't imagine the drama when the Pitchfork review will be out :) (or Village Voice, Q, Spin, Blender, Les Inrocks) ......

Pitchfork's review should just be ignored. They don't like Madonna or respect pop music unless it's from Scandinavia.

TRUTH. What I've always found odd about Pitchfork is that while they diss mainstream pop and rock, they've always praised mainstream rap and hip hop, which is kinda odd for an alternative music website. It sticks out like a sore thumb. It always struck me as a bunch of white hipsters trying to look cool in front of black people, which I find kinda offensive. Like they're trying to say "OOOH LOOK I'M DOWN WITH THE BLACKS". I wouldn't call it racist but it just rubs me the wrong way a little bit.

So true about Scandinavia !

The fact is that i know many french reviewers or just met them and chatted with them and what they write is so far away from what they really think in fact sometimes it's the opposite. They are just completly obsessed with "What's cool" when we all know it's so cool to be uncool ^^ As far as Pitchfork is concerned they are so blasé with everything that i think they ejaculate powder when they finally like something.

I'm confident that she'll get a positive review (at least higher than COADF) from Pitchfork with MDNA seeming like her most explicitly personal record yet. Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster got a 7.8 rating from them and they reference Madonna in that review, so you never know.
