rb19
Beautiful Scars and Inside Out will probably go against each other for inclusion as well. They are very similar in terms of lyrical content. (I love them both, though) I see those two songs as being more two halves of a whole, than retreads of the same idea. In one, M is imploring a lover to let her in and see their flaws, in the other M is baring her own flaws to a lover. I find they play nicely off each other lyrically yet are different enough sonically to work. But there are one or two overlapping lyrics to change. ticktock
Finally got around to listening to ALL demos... Note that this opinion is based on what we have so far, but 90% of these demos sound really, REALLY demo stage and is barely listenable. MUST-HAVE SONGS Rebel Heart (best song on the entire album, should have been the lead single) Freedom Messiah Wash All Over Me (obviously; this could've even been the lead single imo) Joan of Arc Addicted (remove Avicii sound) Veni Vidi Vici GREAT SONGS Revolution Borrowed Time (if they remove that Avicii sound) Heartbreak City God is Love (but I'm biased -- objectively the song is not good) Iconic (potential to be one of the best songs on the album) Inside Out Two Steps Behind Me (amazing song, come on, this has to be on it! She's Not Me pt 2, powerful piano and beats, angry vocals, it's great) MEDIOCRE SONGS / FORGETTABLE Graffiti Heart Beautiful Scars Hold Tight Body Shop Back That Up (Beat Goes On pt 2? unoriginal) Nothing Lasts Forever Tragic Girl PLEASE NO Best Night S.E.X. Holy Water Edited January 7, 2015 by ticktock

Guest Pud Whacker
I far prefer Tragic Girl to Joan of Arc, it must be said.. Love Tragic Girl. Why is it even being compared to joan of michigan?

That one small statement just kind of reminded me of some reviewers I've come across before. There are people who review the demos with "omg these songs are clearly not polished, poor production, blah blah blah". Duh! They are demos, we already know that. P.S. and sorry but I just don't agree that 90% are barely listenable! They are VERY listenable lol I can't stop playing them! ticktock
I really can't get into Best Night... Listening to it now... Can't hear what she's saying, no idea what the melody is, it's a total mess to me. The only thing I adore is the "Justify My Love" quote. But from the 3 "sexual songs", if she had to include one, I would go for Best Night. The other 2 are so vulgar, leave that literal porn talk to Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj. You're fine. That one small statement just kind of reminded me of some reviewers I've come across before. There are people who review the demos with "omg these songs are clearly not polished, poor production, blah blah blah". That's why I am reluctant to judge the demos... With the right production, some of these songs could become amazing. Edit: Actually I wouldn't mind Holy Water, because it's strangely sexual in a nice way, but I'd hate to see it replace a song like Inside Out. Shane
Finally read this thread, although I can't listen to anything because I am OCD about new Madonna material remaining new until the release date. But your comments got me crying tears of abject joy. No one is bitching about anything with just a couple of exceptions. I think we could very well be on the cusp of Her Greatest Work. Guest Madomination
Me too. I guess LFL is just an EP single with 5 b-sides. M don't wastes all of her precious bullets for some leaks. But it's strange (or maybe overhasty) that she released the two bitch tracks combined instead of a greater diversity. I wouldn't call "Ghosttown" a b-side. This is one of the stronger tracks.... On production value alone, these 6 songs are beautiful, fresh, modern and even a bit ahead of itself...BIM and Illuminati are the only ones that are kind of annoying but still the productions are great. Lol I'm asking because everybody seems to hate the nail in the wood sound in the end but I totally love it!! I played it for my little brother and he thought it was sick I don't like the oohs in the intro...sound so misplaced. I don't like the intro lyrics "you can't touch this, cause I'm a bad bitch" I don't like the verses and how they are sung... I pretty much ONLY like the "you can't mess with this lucky star..oohh" And the breakdown but I find the "we go hard and we go home" bit cringeworthy...especially the na na na na na...I guess it speaks to music listeners that I certainly don't relate to. I'm happy for that and hope people receive it well. I'm grateful to have so many incredible songs that are nothing like this one. That workout video someone posted made me enjoy the song a bit more. Seeing my friends like it, makes me like it...but when it comes on, in my headphones, I always get the urge to change it immediately.

vocalism
The only part of BIM I like is the "Who do you think you are" parts, especially toward the end. The whole thing is catchy, but like one of my friends said, I wish it wasn't a Madonna song.
