I can't recall specifics as it's been so long. Madonna gossip was wildly out of control during this period. There was also incessant coverage in early 1995 that she was pregnant. Despite the backlash, the media were still rooting for her, especially after Take a Bow went to number one and BS achieved double platinum status in the States.
