Monks, chanting, smoking pots, religious imagery. But I was just like, okay.... what's going to happen? The thing just swings back and forth. I also think her best live vocals are on the Drowned World Tour and Reinvention, NOT The Girlie Show as everyone says. Her voice on Evita and Ray of Light are the best of her recording career. I think she'd be happier if she dated someone closer to her age and I think she's only doing the toy boys because she hasn't met a man equal to her intellectually since Guy Ritchie. Sometimes she looks great (like on tour or in videos) but in scenarios where she can't control the lighting she can look pretty plastic and weird. She looks great for her age and I find it far fetched when people call her "goblin" and such. That is usually based around deliberately unflattering photos. At first, I HATED ROL - but, it grew to be my favorite album; I LOVED the whole adult contemporary/Evita era, too. M was classy and looked BEAUTIFUL and people loved her!; LOVE AL the song, album and rap - it's genius!; RIT totally was a religious experience for me (no better description exists) - LAP being its zenith (though it's not my favorite tour); COADF was also repetitive to me at first! Though, I ended up loving it, too; Hard Candy is an awesome album and I listen very regularly! I couldn't give a crap about the charts; and I totally don't get the hate for GMAYL. I love it!
