karbatal
Charts based on sales are much better, but only work in very strong singles market as UK or Germany. They should count illegal downloads too, hahaha. Then we would have many surprises! And of course, lastfm charts.

Guest Danny86
From Zeus555 @ UKMIX: On Sunday, Duffy became only the 10th Female Solo Act to Top BOTH UK Charts in the same Week - the Singles & Albums Charts. And only the 2nd BRITISH Solo Female to ever manage it - Leona Lewis was the first. This is in almost 52 Years of the UK Album Chart. (It began on July 28th 1956). Only 10 Solo Females have managed to Top both UK Charts in the same Week: Barbra Streisand (1980) Madonna (1986, 1989, & 2005) Whitney Houston (1987) Mariah Carey (1994) Celine Dion (1995) Kylie Minogue (2001) Beyonce Knowles (2003) Rihanna (2007) Leona Lewis (2007) Duffy (2008). Madonna is the only one to have done it more than once - 3 times, & Celine Dion is the only one to manage it for as long as 5 Weeks in a row... I wonder if Madonna can repeat this very soon! Queen Bitch
I wonder if Madonna can repeat this very soon! I don't know which I'd prefer - this, or for the single to go to number one on downloads in its first week of release.

Queen Bitch
Both scenarios are possible, depending on competition of course Not really, the download is out a full month before the album so it would have to be number 1 for five weeks if it were to do the double and the most weeks she's ever spent at number 1 is four with ITG and Vogue. Well maybe the download is out on the 31st only, then it tops the chart for a week, then it falls but comes back to top again during the week of the physical release, which should be April 21st, and maybe the hype will let it stay at the top for the album week as well. Queen Bitch
I'm loving One Republic. Leona did Dancing on Ice at the weekend (both songs) and that is apparently ITV's highest rated show (non soap). debord
I'm really surprised Sugababes aren't top 10, 'Denial' seemed to have some momentum going. If it doesn't rise that'll be 2 singles in a row to miss the top 10.
