maybe they are afraid ..i'm afraid of islam too
And yes, you should be afraid. Which is why "Islamophobia" is a very insidious term, and evil too. We know that the fear is completely rational.
There are good or decent Muslims, obviously. But that doesn't change the fact that Islam the religion contains a lot of horrible teachings, those Muslims are good or decent not because of Islam, but in spite of it.

So whenever Islam is criticized, understand that it's not a form of bigotry, a "far-right propaganda" or whatever garbage that mainstream media tells you, and stop playing the repulsive "This is Islamophobia" card to silent its critics.
When Islam is the problem, say its name clearly. SPECIFICALLY. Don't just go "ALL religions are bad". I'm an ex-Muslim and still have to live outwardly as a Muslim for obvious safety reasons, I know how exceptionally vile Islam is in the 21st century world.

are you saying that he maybe wanted to just kill people of the crowd and he accidentally hit Trump?
It was clearly an assassination attempt, someone wanted to murder Trump. It's not complex. Anyone with half a brain...I don't even want to say it. Just do not waste your time speculating otherwise.

agree.
But they are getting away with it and it’s totally wrong.
Like you say in their country’s you have no choice you have to adhere by the law.
Nobody is above the law we are all subject to it you can’t have your own set of rules.
It actually gives Islam a bad name. It’s dogmatic.
The ex-Muslim movement has been warning the West about the dangers of Islam for years. Do engage with activists who were born into and raised in Muslim families and later left the religion like Harris Sultan, Nuriyah Khan (lives in the UK), Abdullah Sameer and Ridvan Aydemir, among others. Find them on YouTube. I am an ex-Muslim as well (though not living in the West). We hate seeing Western countries being bullied by these religious extremists and whenever Islam is criticized, people are quick to raise the "Islamophobia" card to unscrupulously silence the critics.
Face the reality AS IT IS - you have to understand what Islam actually is, not the sanitized version propagated by some "peaceful" scholars but the unfiltered, unvarnished form of it as practiced by its most devoted adherents. You need to have a completely honest conversation on how to deal with Islam in your society. It has never been a personal religion, it always has a profound political dimension to it.
If you are ever going to refer to truly moderate or liberal Muslims who have a secular outlook on life, who believe that Islam needs to be reformed so that it can be compatible with the values of the 21st century, who accept Jews and Christians and pagans and whoever else as EQUALS, who completely accept the theory of evolution, and the list goes on - you are probably talking about 800 people worldwide, out of 1.6 billion Muslims.

What @jonski43 shared there isn't anything weird or an anomaly - it's extremely common to be found among Muslims.
I live in a Muslim-majority country, my family and friends are Muslims (I'm not but still have to pretend to be one for safety reasons) - they may not be as blunt as that guy, but in principle they would not disagree with his main point.
This is not a "fringe" type of thinking or a form of extremism, it's simply something deeply rooted in the religion itself.

They are, basically, europeans living in the east part of the mediterranean sea
I get your point, Israel has similar values as the Western countries but historically, we must acknowledge the fact that a large number of Israelis are descendants of Jews who fled or were expelled from Middle Eastern countries like Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Iran etc. Israel's current Minister of Intelligence for instance is a Yemenite-Libyan Jew. From the racial or ethnic standpoint, there's nothing "European" about them.

I've been consumed with work these last few months and haven't been able to post.....
The shooting at MSU hit extremely close to home. I spent my college years there with several close friends. I know exactly where the shooting took place and it's horrifying to think I walked those halls 20 years ago and to know people died on those floors. The night of the shooting, I spent my time texting numerous friends back and forth because their children were in lockdown. Children I spent time with and watched grow up. Kids I knew.
When you know people who are involved in an active shooting in real time, it's a terrifying feeling.
These shootings have taken a toll on my mental health. I honestly can't take watching the scenes from them anymore.
Very sorry to hear these, KJay. ** hugs from afar **

OMG. It took 10 pages of this thread for it to finish
It has ended finally.

It's fine if you remember that it's mostly a work of fiction. It has false timelines, made up characters and fictional events mixed in with some real stuff. The real story is deathly dull.
Fictional events and characters are expected but I certainly did not sign up for FALSE TIMELINES

Couldn't agree more. I'm the furthest thing from a royalist, but if you can't see that the utter vitriol and hatred this woman gets is out of control and for ONE very obvious reason, then...
What was it I read?... about 29 headlines alone from the Daily Mail in one day this week, completely destroying everything about her - and as I pointed out in the other thread, guess who Charlie's head of communications is? A senior Daily Mail hack, the same paper lambasting his daughter in law. It's really quite sickening.
Netflix's The Crown though - what do you think of the show?

You are right. However the absurdity of ruling whose milk is in the women's breasts could only be done in Muslim world because islam claims it regulates all aspects of life - not only religious, but civil. Unlike christianity. They simply adress less issues.
True
I came from a Muslim background, so I know how the religion works. Christianity is pretty much a joke at this point in many parts of the world, but Islam is still being taken seriously. And it is harmful. You can make fun of Jesus Christ, Virgin Mary and the Bible without having any fear of being MURDERED.

Doesn't erase the fact that the REAL cause of the Palestinian people is to liberate themselves from the Zionist apartheid regime.

In Southeast Asia when "America" is mentioned people automatically think of the USA first, not the continents.
Can we all at least agree on one thing: Gaga is an AMERICUNT?
