sabrina26
Although I love the MDNA version, it's not my favorite. My number one is between TGS and S&S.

lori
Vogue is such a performance piece that only Madonna (& no one else) can do that I love all of her performances but if I had to rank them, here goes: RIT TGS MDNA BAT S&S But Superbowl & VMA performance tops them all. Dr Lecter
MDNA vogue was satisfactory but indeed she looked bored and it was cut to pieces BA wins. And then TGS of course RIT is quite enjoyable but sounds like a Casio demo . Loved S&S and live was amaze
Guest Rachelle of London
I love all versions...RIT is a bit boring to me though!
ryan
I actually really love the RIT performance. I don't know why, but I think it's the music. That heavy bass and updated beats, it's got a lot more kick than the original imo.
Yummy
It's one of my favorites, but the superbowl was better. The MDNA version would have been perfect if the opening part had sounded similar to the superbowl, I don't know how to describe it. If it had sounded like 0:38 here As oppose to 0:50 here The European Blu-Ray version is stellar!!!! Who edited this? Pure perfection.
Phineaspoe
wow! People rate RIT so low...why? One of her best choreographies since she started touring in 2001! That Vogue/Nobody Knows Me is just "wow"! It's all about Madonna, not the dancers and stuff! You just can't keep your eyes away from Madonna *.* This is exactly right. But ultimately the best live version of Vogue goes to VMAs 1990.

Ai Papi Si.
Love all the Vogue perfs! Even Reinvention which kinda plods along. Still a visual treat. The MDNA Tour version was really amazing, I thought. Love the buildup and the FEROSH posing from Moodge!
Guest Rachelle of London
The European Blu-Ray version is stellar!!!! Who edited this? Pure perfection. VogueMusic
This is exactly right. But ultimately the best live version of Vogue goes to VMAs 1990. VMAs 1990 definitely takes the cake. Utter perfection. For me - VMA SuperBowl / MDNA (tied) TGS BAT S&S RIT
Guest SecretGarden
If we're speaking strictly of tour performances, then: Blond Ambition Girlie Show ... Re-invention/Sticky and Sweet/MDNA Both Blond Ambition and Girlie Show are wonderful, with the former capturing the song perfectly while the latter upating the visual style of the song refreshingly. RT, S&S and MDNA are all mediocre, she seemed totally bored and going through the motions during the MDNA performance (which is a shame because the concert is pretty great), while RT is just a complete rehash of the wonderful VMA performance, S&S seemed really out of place and using the 4 Minutes beat made it sound really poor. Alpha
I don't think I explained myself properly when I started this thread, I was trying to find out which version people think best represents the inspiration of the idea of vogue...I still don't think I'm explaining it correctly...argh However it's still good to talk bout all the amazing performances we have of one of greatest pop records of all time
Alpha
wow! People rate RIT so low...why? One of her best choreographies since she started touring in 2001! There are lots of wow moments in RIT, the opening, Vogue, NKM, Holiday, Burning Up, the fact is was a greatest hits tour It's just I dunno its like an amazing hot mess and maybe even rushed, lot of people talk about the outfits could've been better It's great but I dunno just something didn't seem right...sorry if I'm not making any sense again I should Leave this thread
Guest bluejean
Imo it's largely the song arrangements that ruin Reinvention. Especially in the second half. Like a Prayer, Imagine, Papa Don't Preach, Crazy For You and Into The Groove all sound repulsive. There are some good moments scattered throughout the show. While the 1st half has some great moments I think the last 2 sections all just seem totally random. It's the sort of show that would appeal to casual fans. Which is why it generally sucks. ryan
I think musically the tour was good, visually it fucking stunk like sour pussy. I absolutely adore the arrangements for Express Yourself, it sounds soooo good with that loud bass and drum-line. But the whole gay army porn thing on stage I coulda gave a fuck about. madonna_fan1988
RIT was the last tour that Madonna cared more about the music than the visuals...the last one where her voice was the main instrument and the rest came after that. If was back when she had like half the dancers she has now xD The opening alone was all about Madonna...not choirs or discoballs or thrones... And i'm just gonna leave it like this cause no one will agree with me xD
Alpha
Madonna doing a greatest hits show for masses that's it... If she did that with MDNA like playing a big hit instead of say Gang Bang and ending with music or holiday rather than celebrations. It wouldn't have the same wow factor. I hope we never get a conventional greatest hits tour from M, a greatest hits show yes, but not a bog standard keep the masses happy one, that's what Kylie is for. Jairo
It is me or the Vogue version on the DVD sounds more powerful than the live version? I mean, it has more bass, more sounds. Sounds like she changed instrumental things...

Sounds like she changed instrumental things... When I saw the show live, "Vogue" was nothing but bass. I could barely hear the vocals or anything else for that matter. Just the bass.. There was sounds I didnt hear before in GMAYL too, but I'm not sure if it was added now.

Sounds like she changed instrumental things... I think the "film" version sounds amazing!!! It's got a bounce to it that is just infectious... and yeah, sounds quite different from the "live" version. And I love the sound effects. I think they still work very well with the MDNA concept. lasky
Me thinks the version that came out everytime was a materpiece by itself.... so many different versions to one song..... personally, i love the superbowl and mdna version..... In terms of choreography, it would be RIT yoga pose and backward flip.... imagine a 45 year old doing it.... In terms of originality and theatre, its got to be the VMA version.... mangapop
It's one of my favorites, but the superbowl was better. The MDNA version would have been perfect if the opening part had sounded similar to the superbowl, I don't know how to describe it. If it had sounded like 0:38 here As oppose to 0:50 here Agree. The Superbowl version was epic, the oriental sound was fantastic and dramatic. The MDNA version is based on Superbowl performance musically and the coreography is also based on SB. The SB version has great sound effects (sword fighting sound), while MDNA version was very simmilar to original, but didn't capture the magic of original. mangapop
VMA - best performance in every way BAT - not bad, the version was live and many Vogue music elements were ommited, that is what I think GST - great coreography, great costumes, the first musical reinvention RIT - great coreography, great costumes, but bad version, the voice sucks and the electropop vibe isn't for Vogue, but the entire performance was iconic S&S - nice musical reinvention, but the performance sucked, cheap costumes SB - good coreography, iconic, nice reinvention, but too short MDNA - based on SB too much, didn't borrow some great moments from SB version (sound effects, oriental music), too safe, but very close to original video
