Mat.Guy
but shows in South America, except the first one in Medellin, have not been sold out Of course they are! Sold out doesnt mean selling every ticket, it means they sold the amount they expected to sell.
XXL
Of course they are! Sold out doesnt mean selling every ticket, it means they sold the amount they expected to sell. Don't bother, they won't hear about this Have all these people taken a look at the pics from her South American gigs, for starters? Either they didn't bother or are in need of a new pair of glasses. Oh maybe they just like fussiness for the sake of fussiness, pointless fussiness. People pretending to know whether a venue for a show they didn't attend in the first place was packed or not are the absolute worst.

Jairo
but shows in South America, except the first one in Medellin, have not been sold out 2nd MedellÃn show was sold out the same day. There weren't tickets available. Many friends of mine who went with me to the first show didn't get a ticket for 2nd show.
graffitiheart
There is also the case when they decide to release tickets last minute and these are not sold cause people dont even know. I saw Confessions in Prague, her second show was sold in minutes then decided to release tickets the same day of the show and they were not sold so as a result it was the only non sell out show of the entire tour! Nightshade
It's not Boxscore, but Pollstar released its final tally for the MDNA Tour: $296.1 million Article: http://www.pollstar.com/news_article.aspx?ID=803742 2012 Top Worldwide Tours 05:01 PM Friday 12/28/12 This is the only concert industry chart that covers the entire calendar year. All figures have been converted to U.S. dollars and represent the total face-value gross ticket sales for all dates played. The Pollstar database includes specific sales figures for nearly 90 percent of all shows worked by the top attractions and projections were made for any of the unreported dates. Madonna grossed $296.1 million to easily claim the No. 1 spot on the chart. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band claimed the second slot at $210.2 million. Both acts played to more than 2 million fans in 2012. Roger Waters generated $186.4 million to come in at No. 3. He is also the highest ranking hold-over from the 2011 chart where he placed No. 5 with a gross of $103.6 million. Proving there is a global diversity of attractions, only 13 artists from 2011 made this year’s Top 50. It is also worth noting that the global brand strength of Cirque du Soleil has never been greater with eight different touring shows ranking on the chart. The Top 50 Worldwide Tours did a combined gross of $3 billion, which was down about 2 percent from $3.07 billion in 2011.
Barney
ohh no they JUST missed the 300m mark! Well done Madonna...no one else could even if they tried! If they didnt cancel your Dallas show they wouldve done it! Karma, lol.
davejr.
i was hoping for a 300m finished...oh well....that's life...
Nightshade
If they didnt cancel your Dallas show they wouldve done it! Karma, lol. No, it wouldn't have. If you add another gross the equivalent of the Dallas' $2.3 million it would only be $298 million and change. She needed an additional $3.9 million to hit the sweet $300m. If Israel's two original stadium-style shows had been sellouts rather than combined into one, she could've done it. Or if Zagreb would've sold better or even NOT been cancelled. Fuck, if she would've done a month in Australia, it would've been $400 million total. I am not griping though. This is an AMAZING accomplishment for any artist, especially in this shit economy.
