StrawberryBounce12
*edited* *We only post the Top 10 until the final HITS chart here.* - I'm waiting to see where Janet is on the charts too. HitsDaily has been off a number of times though, last week they said that Janet was at #40, but she actually ended up placing at #30.

thebigham
http://blogs.usatoday.com/listenup/2008/04...-ushers-in.html Radio Ushers in new No. 1 In one of the tighter three-way battles for the top the national radio airplay audience chart has witnessed, Usher's Love in This Club emerges triumphant at No. 1, up from No. 2. It actually gains a little ground on Mariah Carey's Touch My Body, which nonetheless rises from No. 3 to edge Chris Brown's six-week No. 1, With You, for runner-up honors. The next two hits are also unusually strong -- Ray J's Sexy Can I at No. 4 and the Jordin Sparks/Chris Brown duet, No Air, which enjoys a huge total audience increase and moves up to the top 5 from No. 8. Rounding out the top 10 are Sara Bareilles' Love Song (slightly up), Flo Rida's Low (down) Rihanna's Don't Stop the Music (down), Timbaland & OneRepublic's Apologize (down but not yet out) and the debut of Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love, which leaps into the top 10 from No. 19. The usual mix of detail, fact and speculation follows. > The annotated top 10: 1-2 last week Usher, Love in This Club (up 5.9% in total audience): After Mariah crept close to Usher last week, Usher widens the gap a little, from around 5 million total impressions to 8 million, probably assuring at least another week at No. 1. 2-3 Mariah Carey, Touch My Body (+4.0%): Is this a No. 1 (airplay) record? (Obviously, it's a No. 1 download record, as of last week's record-breaking performance.) Usher may be strong enough to lock it out, and Ray J and Jordin Sparks may be in line to overtake it. 3-1 Chris Brown, With You (-6.0%): A great run is concluded; now it's getting out of the way of the hot new blood. 4-4 Ray J, Sexy Can I (+6.8%): Another very strong week with not much to show for it on the chart, but it should pass Chris Brown next week. The question is, will it be passed in turn by Jordin Sparks? 5-8 Jordin Sparks, No Air (+30.4%): An extraordinary increase for a record this high on the chart, and you've got to wonder how high its ceiling now becomes. (Having Chris Brown duetting doesn't hurt either.) 6-6 Sara Bareilles, Love Song (+3.7%): Deprived of its chance to jump back into the top 5 by Sparks' explosion, it may have peaked. 7-5 Flo Rida, Low (-6.0%): Hanging tough, declining at a slower rate than last week. 8-7 Rihanna, Don't Stop the Music (-8.0%): Also slowed its decline a bit, and looks to have another week in the top 10 ahead. 9-9 Timbaland & OneRepublic, Apologize (-3.5%): Cut its rate of decline almost in half, but the writing's on the wall -- this should be its last week in the top 10. 10-19 Leona Lewis, Bleeding Love (+34.8%): The New Mariah (copyright Simon Cowell, 2008) has a debut with another seemingly infinite ceiling. Huge jump this week. > Next week's top 10 contenders: Probably just one, but it's a sure-shot. Lil' Wayne's Lollipop leaps 27-12 on the chart with the biggest audience increase percentage of the week (48.5%). It should be up there competing with Leona Lewis and maybe Jordin Sparks and Ray J when Usher and Mariah conclude their battle for No. 1. > Hottest songs this week: Lil' Wayne, Leona and Jordin have already come under scrutiny. The other three big gainers are Danity Kane's Damaged (up 38.1%, second best for the week, and soaring 97-64 on the chart); Ashanti's The Way That I Love You (+31.5%, 68-48) and Madonna's 4 Minutes (+22.9%, 48-34). > This week's debuts on the top 100: Carrie Underwood's Last Name tops a list of eight debuts, entering at No. 79. Right behind it (80) is Raheem DeVaughn's Customer, followed by Mana's Si No Te Hubieras Ido at 88, Montgomery Gentry's Back When I Knew It All at 89, 3 Doors Down's It's Not My Time at 90, Plies' Bust It Baby at 93, Dierks Bentley's Trying to Stop Your Leaving at 96 and Trey Songz' Last Time at 98. Over and out.
notsomuch
more likely Mariah blocked from the top by Madonna...isn't that the nightmare of every Mariah fan... You're being bit of a drama queen... Nightmare, not really! There are alot of terrible songs that hit number one for the wrong reasons. I meant to post this to the drama queen before this post. But I think anyone with a clue could figure that out. Edited April 8, 2008 by notsomuch
