  1. Holy f*cking shit. I don't think I have ever seen something like what just went down at the White House. If it has not been clear yet (hardly possible), Trump and Vance are the most disgusting human beings. I admire Zelenskyy how he kept his composure. I myself would have jumped at both of them.

Good grief. He's pressurised the Romanian government and now the Tate brothers are flying by private jet to the US. 😕

Remember, Trump did pardon that guy who was running Silk Road, a drug ring on the dark web. He was sentenced to life. A Trump gave him an unconditional pardon. It was because of this guys mother, some kind of key fugure of the libertarian party.

Friedrich Merz sounds like the man we NEED right now. Hope those words are put into actions!

P.S. Germany is split between Western Germany and Eastern Germany in those elections. Estern Germany voted for the neoNazi party. It seems the ex communist states are most  susceptible to Russian=neoNazi propaganda.

But it needs to be said that those states are less populated than other federal states in the west. So the amount of people may not differ much. Of course, percentage-wise the picture is different.

As someone who grew up in East-Germany (well, East-Berlin, which was different) I myself have no idea why they vote the way they vote. There are so many things that do not add up. It's schizophrenic. The AfD is a West party. It was founded in the West, their leaders are almost all from the West. Somehow they managed to convince people in the East, they are working in their interest. Of course, what works in their favor is that they never actually have to prove that they can deliver results since they are not part of the government. Even more strange, their understanding for Russia. Those are the very same people defending Putin but always reminding everyone about the evil Russias that raped German women back in 1944/45. I suppose they hate the Russian people but very much like the way Putin deals with his people. Another thing that have all those Eastern states in common: after the reunification, many young women left those regions for better working opportunities. The young men were rather lazy to step up. They were left behind because they didn't get their asses up. Of course, it was everybodies elses fault. Mainly immigrants. Which is interesting because in those regions the number of immigrants (not counting asylum seekers) is rather low. Taking all those things into consideration, the picture is pretty similar to many other countries: the US, the UK, it is the angry white man that likes the cruelty that comes with those parties.

BTW, another big winner was the left party (Die Linke). They actually had the most votes in Berlin (the rest is relatively split between other big parties). Their rise is rather suprising because they were failing in recent years. But ever since Sara Wagenknecht (which I believe is very much a Russian asset) founded her own party BSW and left Die Linke, they became bascially the anti-AfD party and mainly concentrated on social issues and no longer favored Russia, which I think opened the door for more people to vote for them.

Also, Die Linke and especially the AfD have a high percentage of young voters. The AfD, one may wonder. The young people who are supposedly so liberal and openminded? Well, the AfD is by far the most active on TikTok. Through TikTok they get access to those young people and can manipulate them. There was a documentary a few days ago and it was shocking how relatively easy they were able to play the algortihm to spread their videos. Because of this all those social media platforms are heavily involved with spreading misinformation. The amount of videos by what I consider Russian players, I get in my recommendations on YT ever since that JD vance speech in Munich is unbelievable.

I have a doubt: are the news in the USA talking about the situation maga is creating everywhere? I mean, from the point of view of the rest of the world? do they say that we are scared of Trump and Musk?

About Ukraine. Yes. About the other countries (in Europe, Canada, Mexico). Hardly. Yes, they had some reports about JD Vance talking in Munich. But all of this is very superficial. And of course from a U.S. point of view, often ignoring the realties in other countries. It is all very lazy. As an example, there was a recent 60 minutes report about free speech in Germany (well, there is already the first mistake, we have freedom of expression (opinion)) and almost all was misrepresented and examples taken out of context to paint a picture that simply does not exist. This report is picked up by content creators to discuss the situation. Often with some legal analyst but never a German one. And they get it wrong. Even channels like Bulwark showing a gross ignorance. At least the comments under their video is setting the record straight from German and European commentators (since freedom of expression / of speech in other European countries are more in line with Germanys than the U.S.). But under other videos it is a the usual hate party.

Let's face it, if the U.S. would be a little bit more like other countries (in Europe, Canada) when it comes to freedom of expression, they would not be in the mess they are. I mean, just compare politicians behaviour in the U.S. and Germany (as a current example because of elections). It is night and day. But again, the U.S. do not care. You know, "we are the greatest", "we are the best".

  5. Good News. Canada kicked US' butt and won the 4 nations cup. Go Canada! The U.S. guys, especially that Tkachuk guys, were so icredibly arrogant, they deserved to lose.

BTW, watching reports about the Canada / US situation and why the Canadians are pissed, they (the reporters) always talk about the tariffs. But from what I understand, it is not about the tariffs in the first place, it is about Canada supposed to be the 51st state. It is basically the same situation in Europe. Nobody really cares about tariffs here. It is the Greenland situation, it is telling European countries what our freedoms have to look like, it is the love fest with the AfD. It is the sheer arrogance, the lack of decency that makes the whole nonsense coming from the US even worse.

  6. People are seriously pissed. Like I have never seen it before. The U.S. reputation is at the lowest it has ever been and at this point I don't how the U.S. want to come back from that. They have alienated all of their allies and general concensus is that no one can rely on the U.S. anymore. The good thing, and finally I would like to argue, countries are emancipating. It appears as if trade talks between the EU and Canada are top priority and a European army as well. All of this is meant to get away from the U.S. as much as possible. I think the current U.S. government may not be aware of the consequence of their doing. Sooner or later they will be on their own. And for the most hated country on the planet with a lot of countries, organizations and people having an axe to grind with, the U.S. and its citizens may be at a security risk never seen before. It is the arrogance of the U.S. (and the lack of manners) that is their biggest weakness. They think everything revolves around them. The World, especially Canada and the EU are nothing without them. The problem is, this is not a one way street and I am not sure the U.S. have thought this though. What will happen when the U.S. no longer has access to intelligence from their allies, what if they loose their military bases in Europe and therefore loose access to their (often questionable) military operations in the Middle East and Africa. Of course, U.S. arms producers will lose tens of billions of profits, tens of thousands of people will lose their jobs in the U.S. in those industries. No one should be surprised, the EU and other countries will no longer buy U.S. arms. Let's face it, the EU has companies that produce far more advanced and less expensive arms than the U.S.. The only issue so far was capacity. But this can be changed rather quickly. Here is a little secret, Germany may have been reluctant with the arms production and obviously was more about a diplomatic approach and of course, as a result of WWII was obliged by international agreements to abstain from becoming a huge military power BUT we are not naive. All important idustries and their companies, especially car companies have plans to switch to war-time production. I personally also do believe that Germany should produce their own nuclear weapons (technically we are not allowed, but this refers to peace and while we are not at war, I don't think we have peace) or alternatively France will ramp up production of their nuclear weapons and in result every European country can be under the nuclear umbrella of France. If history has shown one thing, the moment a country does have nuclear weapons, no one dares to attack them. In retrospect, Ukraine should have never given up their nuclear weapons arsenal they had from the Soviet Union.

    Sorry for the rant.

is trump really having a meeting with Russia and somebody from Ukrayne, and nobody has called Zelensky? really, they are really bad people, and stupid. I mean, are they really thinking about a peace without talking to Ukrayne´s president?

Are you suprised? This is who they are. They will make a deal "on behalf" of Ukraine and the EU will need to send troups to monitor the "peace" process, without being involved in any kind of decision making.

  8. The whole "press conference" was a huge desaster. He said so many contradictory things. He was bashing the unelected bureaurocracy when he and DOGE is exactly that. He was talking about how transparent DOGE is, yet no one knows what they are doing. He was talking about numbers, wasted spending but I wonder why he brings in computer guys and not accountants. One guy, a proud racist, another one with allegations he stole company secrets at a former job. I know why they hired those "nerds" (they had some on a CNN report). They are all sociopaths. They talk tech language, the human aspect does not exist. One guy gave a speech at some AI conference, proudly telling participants that large fields of professions will be made redundant once AI kicks in. There is no empathy at all. But I guess this makes them perfect for this job, they don't see that their decisions have severe consequence onto other humans.

Also, was Musk super high or what? His cult members always claim he is autistic, has Aspergers. But as far as I understand, he diagnosed himself. That doesn't count. And what about this particular child? Why is he around all the time (whereas you never see the other ones)? Is he a human shield? What purpose does this  child serve? Is he one of his children with a weird name?

  9. BTW, I love what Canada is doing. I have seen several news reports in the last days about supermarkets in Canada having signs "Made in Canada" or "Produce of Canada" on the shelves. And on U.S. products they have a sign making costumers aware that there is a Canadian alternative. They also moved all Canadian product to eye level and all the U.S. stuff to the bottom shelves.

Canadians want to become the 51st state? I supppose they'd rather join the European Union.

For a moment I thought the moderator wanted to punch that woman claiming Obama said "illegals" should vote. The audacity to tell the moderator to "google it" when asked on what occasion Obama said that. The laziness and the impudence of that woman. But this is where we are. Someone makes a statement and when asked to back it up, this person tells you to google it. Imagine this in a school setting or at a doctor. "You have cancer." "How do you know?" "Google it!".

  11. Is there any opposition to this plan in Israel or within the jewish community? Considering the history of jewish people, I would like to believe they are very sensitive to this situation. I mean, jewish people were victim of "ethnic cleansing" at a scale unimaginable. In the beginning people were kicked out of their homes, then had to live in ghettos and it all culminated with the "Endlösung". Or is this just another time in human mankind, where people don't care because it does not affect them directly despite all the lessons learned from history?

Also, I can clearly see a huge shift in public opinion in regards to Israels politics. Support for Israel and its actions in Gaza etc. must be on an all-time low. And when people in Germany, especially politicians, that are part of the democratic spectum, and media openly criticize the Israeli goverment, which was an absolute no-go up until a year ago, Israel should realize they have a big problem when it comes to support in the future. If your only ally is a conservative government in the U.S.A., you may reconsider your actions. Maybe it's time for countries like Germany, France etc. to acknowledge a state of Palestine, to stop all the madness in the area.

  12. Isn't interesting? Trump and his administration are starting wars, well only trade wars so far, with allies and at the same time they embrace all those dictatorial countries like El Salvador.

Of course, it makes perfect sense that the U.S. is leaving the UN Human Rights Council. Think about what Trump and Co. are planning? Putting U.S. citizens in prisons in a foreign country. El Salvador, which is basically a dictatorship, that puts its citizens in what is basically a concentration camp. So, not only would that be against the U.S. constitution, it also is in conflict with human rights.

  13. If this isn't the moment for European and other nations to step in and immediately acknowledge Palestine as a sovereign state.

And by the way, the reason why Trump and Netanyahu met, was to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire and release of hostages. That obviously didn't happen. Quite frankly, I personally do not believe that Netanyahu and the right-wing politicians in Israel care about those hostages at all. Their goal to get their hands onto Gaza and West Jordan is within reach. Those hostages are held as cannon fodder by the Israeli government.

  14. And while everyone was busy with talking about those tariffs, Elon and his minions were harvesting sensitive, highly classified data, data he should not have any access to in the first place. He has access to the most private information of U.S. citizens and no one seems to be talking about any of this. Again, Musk has no official role in this government. He is basically a private citizens. All of this is highly illegal.

Much of what is going on is a distraction. Much of what Trump is doing right now, he has not even authority to do. Like shutting down USAID. It's Congress' business. Why do I say it's a distraction? Because Trump did the same in his first term. He did or said outrageous things to have media and people talking to keep them busy. In the meantime, he was doing more sinister things. It is basically a cover up. People should look very closely what he may have done this time or who is selling shares at the stock exchange. Maybe it's a huge grift. Announce tariffs, knowing this will crash certain stocks. Once the fraud was done, he is taking the tariffs back for whatever reason. All of this may be a huge manipulation? But guess what, with Trumps minions in all relevant positions that could actually start an investigation (SEC, DOJ, FBI), nothing will happen.

  15. And as @Lolo said, where are the protests, the demonstrations in the U.S.? Not there, because the consequence of Trumps executive orders cannot be felt yet, except for so called illegal immigrants? It may be to late at some point.

In the meantime 100s of thousands of German people are on the street, making their voices heard that we don't want right-wing politics. And here, democracy actually worked because the law that was supposed to be passed, passed only with the help of the AfD, failed to get a majority in parliament. But we had to realize, that we cannot trust the Christian-Conservatives when it comes to policy making any longer. This time it may have been merely one law. But who knows, at some point they may seek a coalition with the AfD to form a government. But I am confident, if this ever happens, there will be a revolution.

  16. In the meantime Elon Musk has now access to all the data of the U.S. treasury. Remember he holds no official position in this governement, he was not voted into any office. Most likely has no government security clearance. Also remember, we are talking about a guy that has no access to the most secret stuff at Space X, basically his very own company. There are reports, another of his tech bros from Silicon Valley was granted access. I bet, this is about Peter Thiel. Ever heard of Palantir and what they do? I suppose, the U.S. is about to enter an age where the government can spy its citizens officially.

  17. Gregg Abbott better keep his mouth shut. He has some industries in his state that can be replaced rather easily. I'm talking defense. And this may be the handle the EU and Canada and other states have against the U.S.. With the exception of F-35 jets, other countries have arms manufacturers that built better and less expensive weapons and stuff. The difference is that capacities are relatively low. But that can be changed and production ramped up. Defense exports and profits for U.S. companies run in the 10s of billions of dollars and 10s of thousands of highpaying jobs in Texas and Florida depend on those exports.

The worst thing (for now) is that all these indoctrinators of my East German childhood must feel vindicated now. They always painted the US as a potential fascist regime. I just hate the thought of them feeling in the right. Also all the tin foil hat preppers. It is bad on all thinkable levels…

Talking of indoctrination, two days ago they had a report on CNN (hardly watchable nowadays) about an elementary school in Texas and every morning teachers and students assemble at their sports hall or mensa and do the pledge of allegiance. Even worse, they were kind of enthusiastic about it. Not even the GDR went so far. I think to remember there was Fahnenappell twice a year and you had those morning greetings "Für Frieden und Sozialismus seid bereit ... Immer bereit" and "Freundschaft". But at least where I went to school, hardly anyone took that shit serious. People were playing alone (because we knew to be careful and not adress certain issues publicly) when we all thought "Yeah, right". Of course, the GDR and the FDR were never as patriotic as the U.S.. For obvious reasons, I suppose. Let's face it, the patriotsm (on its way to nationalism) in the U.S. has so many similarities to Nazi Germany. The amount of flags alone. People may think, it's just a flag. I think this is where the indoctrination starts. And what about those U.S.A. chants?

Contrary to the GDR, people in the U.S. still have their constitutional freedoms which protect them from persecution and punishment by their own government. They may use those freedoms to raise their voices publicly and demonstrate to fight back and save their democracy, as imperfect this democracy is. It may be too late at one point.

  19. I wonder how all of those Middle East citizens feel now since they have had such huge issue with "Genocide Biden". Those who voted for Trump. Well, they will claim they voted for Jill Stein. Which was basically a vote for Trump and they knew it.

Trump is pro Arab? Sure. Pro-Saudi Arabia! Pro Palestine? Never was, never will. Biden sanctions on illegal Israeli settlers lifted, sanctions on heavy bombs lifted, an ambassador who is super evangelical who denies a place called Palestine even exists and Trump-Kushner construction most likely has building plans for Gaza already drawn up. And I am pretty sure a muslim ban for the U.S. is just around the corner. I guess there will be a lot of FAFO moments.

  20. ^^^ Well, now that they have opened the door, others who have been banned should sue as well.

To me this looks like another bribe. Based on their very own terms & conditions they can ban everyone for so many reasons. Just like any other social media platform. A possible Trump lawsuit had no grounds and he would have lost in court. They are a private entity, so called freedom of speech does not apply to them. But freedom of speech as a constitutional right is is something MAGA and Co. will never understand.

    Zuckerberg is a joke.
