Love this. Especially his reactions to: God Control, Bitch I’m Loca, I Don’t Search I Find, Looking for Mercy...
I think we all had the same reaction when we heard the choir and then when the strings kicked in for "God Control".

No, I wasn't lost
It was a different feeling
A mix of lucidity and craziness
But I wasn't lost, believe me

Do any other songs besides DB/GC flow into one another?
I couldn't really tell from vinyl rip.
None of them flow into one-another actually, the vinyl rip got that wrong.
Dark Ballet has all the breathing and then God Control starts with M's voice.

NO.
I WASN'T LOST.
It WAS, a different feeling.
A MIX of LUCIDITY,
and CRAZINESS.
But I WASN'T LOST, believe me.

And I for one love the gritted teeth she sings through on the first verse. I could see the casual listener not getting it but it's totally appropriate for the song.

When the choir kicked in I FROZE.

Well I've heard it in full and it's fucking fantastic. So deeply Madonna sounding, well-produced, varied and layered, diverse but with the current of MADONNA throughout. They really paid attention to the sequencing this time because even though there are a lot of sounds going on, it feels like a cohesive work.
Snippets could never do it justice - some songs change so much from minute to minute - God Control morphs into a different song altogether and then merges with the first by the end. Extreme Occident when the drums and tambourine kick in - fabulous. Medellín as we know doesn't even have a chorus until 2:30 in, and Dark Ballet goes nuts.
There were several moments when it all went a different way than I expected. She brought it this time.
My favourite songs upon first listen are God Control, Extreme Occident, and I Don't Search I Find.

Her vocals in the second verse. Raspy and sexy!
"MY GOD, look at me now."
-
"Sir you're under arrest"
"Okay just let me send this tweet"

So no one waiting until official release to listen to songs ?
Nope! I think a lot of us are avoiding these threads until Friday.
I'll be shaking my mussy to lossless quality Madame X!

I REFUSE TO GIVE IN.

This bit really shows how Madonna's eyes are her centre. When you see her in person it catches you off guard.

I love that nothing, not even the "disco stomper" God Control seems to be formulaic musically this time around. The tempo and structure of Medellín are off (we don't get a chorus until 2 and a half minutes in), the Nutcracker interlude of Dark Ballet...I'm loving it all!

This is really shaping up to be her most creative era I've experienced, possibly period tbh.
-
No further snippets have come out, which is fantastic.

The disco stompers of the album, and two of the big fan favourites so far. Which are you LOVING more?
I'm not putting a Both option because we'd all pick it.
