By JASON CHESTER FOR MAILONLINE | 28 January 2021

Jessica Alves has revealed she's  in quarantine at a Bangkok plastic surgery hospital ahead of her latest cosmetic procedure, which is scheduled to take place in a fortnight.

The TV personality flew to Thailand on Wednesday and has since remained behind closed doors in accordance with current health and safety guidelines.

She said: 'I was being very discreet coming to Thailand as I didn't tell anyone. I am in a Bangkok plastic surgery hospital where I'll spend two weeks in quarantine, and then I'll have the surgery.

'I'm going to be staying in Thailand nearly two months. I've literally just arrived.'

She added: 'I can't reveal what the surgery is yet, but it's a life-changing one.'

The previous day she gave Instagram followers an update ahead of her long-haul flight to South-East Asia while insisting the nature of the trip would remain a secret until further notice.

Addressing fans from an empty departure lounge, she said: 'I'm at Heathrow Airport all by myself, there's no one else here. I'm going away to somewhere nice, exotic and apparently very hot right now.'

13-Year-Old Raped Twice By 9 Men In 5 Days In Madhya Pradesh: Police

At least four such chilling incidents in the last six days against women in various parts of Madhya Pradesh, have raised questions about their safety in the state.

All India | Written by Anurag Dwary | Updated: January 17, 2021 11:27 am IST

Bhopal: A 13-year-old girl was kidnapped and gang-raped by nine men in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district twice within five days, the police have said, adding seven people have been arrested so far in the case. The incident comes at a time when the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government is running the 'Samman' campaign - a fortnight-long public awareness drive about crime against women across the state.

At least four such chilling incidents in the last six days against women in various parts of Madhya Pradesh, have raised questions about their safety in the state.

According to the police, the 13-year-old girl was first kidnapped by a young man known to her on January 4 and then raped by him and six of his friends for two days.

Before letting her go on January 5, the accused threatened to kill her if she told anybody so she did not file a complaint.

The horror was repeated six days later as she was again kidnapped on January 11 by one of the seven men who raped her before and then held captive in jungles as well as a roadside eatery, where three of them again raped her, the police said.

After being let go by the three accused, she was kidnapped again and allegedly raped by two truck drivers, before she managed to flee and return to her house on Friday early morning, they added.

The incident was reported to the police on Friday after which multiple teams conducted searches.

On January 9, a 48-year-old woman was raped by a man with the help of four others inside her hut in Sidhi district, according to the police.

The main accused in the case also allegedly inserted an iron rod in the private parts of the woman, who has two young sons. All the five accused have been arrested.

Two days later on January 11, a 13-year-old girl was kidnapped by her neighbour, who then allegedly raped the teenager and murdered her in Khandwa district.

Just a day later, a young woman was assaulted by her husband and father-in-law, suspecting her of infidelity in Ujjain district.

The accused men along with women of the family used sharp-edged weapons to cut the woman's nose, breast and also injured parts of her body.

While the woman is battling for her life at a hospital in Indore, two accused in the case have been arrested.

  3. Beijing tests for COVID-19 using anal swabs, where virus may survive longer: experts
By Fan Anqi and Deng Xiaoci | Published: Jan 23, 2021 03:16 PM

Beijing reported a 9-year-old boy tested positive for COVID-19 last week, and his school conducted a variety of tests including serum antibody tests, nasal, throat, and even anal swabs for all its staff and students, prompting many to wonder if anal swabs could be more accurate in detecting the virus than other measures.

Li Tongzeng, a deputy director in charge of infectious disease at Beijing You'an Hospital, said that studies have shown that the coronavirus survives longer in the anus or excrement than those taken from upper body tracts, and for some silent carriers the virus may be present in their throats for 3 to 5 days, allowing some tests to provide false negative results.

Taking an anal swab could increase accuracy in key groups, Li noted during an interview with the China Central Television. However, given that the method is not as convenient as throat swabs, it will only be applied to key groups at quarantine centers.

Meanwhile, the testing method has been controversial among experts. Yang Zhanqiu, a deputy director of the pathogen biology department at Wuhan University, told the Global Times that since the virus has proven to be contracted via the upper respiratory tract rather than the digestive system, the most efficient tests are still nasal and throat swabs.

"There have been cases concerning the coronavirus testing positive in a patient's excrement, but no evidence has suggested it had been transmitted through one's digestive system," Yang added.

Beijing will also conduct serum antibody tests for all inbound overseas travelers who have entered the Chinese capital city since December 10 in an effort to find the chain of transmission in the latest cluster infections in the capital's Daxing district, the Beijing government said on Friday.

Chinese health experts said antibody tests for inbound travelers revealed that the outbreak in Daxing district began a month before the first case was reported on Sunday, and nucleic acid testing won't be able to find the first patient.

I prefer Newsmax... Those Evil Dems... Hypocrites, now asking for unity when they themselves didn't give Trump a chance since November 2016 til the very end.

    Yes, they are so evil!

Trump had helped Americans to fight their biggest enemy i.e. China!

He condemned China/Hong Kong government for implementing national security law, which most of the countries had already had implemented including US/UK/EU/AUS/Philippines etc, that forbids foreigners from infiltrating the government sector!

He & his senate/house had uphold HK ppl's rights to protest, vandalize public/private properties and invade HK parliment aka Capitol!

He had even made his allies (UK/AUS/NZ/Taiwan) to lower their health standard in order to allow US to import ractopamine pork & chlorinated chicken into these countries to make more $$$ for America!

    Make America great again! :hurt:

Yes, the world was actually more peaceful when the US was under Trump. Now with war-mongering politicians are back, the world better get ready again to have wars sprouting where the US can sell arms... Trump was an outsider from the very start. Even old school Republican politicians hated him back in 2016, that's why some turned in 2020. These old school politicians are the evil ones. They will connive with corporate America to fatten their bank accounts at the expense of its citizens. Americans just lost a president who actually cared more about their welfare than outsiders.

‘You are kidnapping me!’: Anti-mask activist busted in Florida bagel shop

    By Joshua Rhett Miller

An outspoken anti-mask activist in Florida was arrested for refusing to put on a face covering at a bagel shop — with wild video showing the bizarre bust.

Cindy Falco-DiCorrado, 62, of Boynton Beach, was arrested Thursday at an Einstein Bros. Bagels in Boca Raton, where she allegedly ignored requests from a customer and a deputy to put on a mask, the Palm Beach Post reported.

“You are violating the Constitution,” Falco-DiCorrado told the responding officer, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report. “I am not leaving. That’s discrimination.”

Video of the encounter posted to a “Crazy Karens” Instagram account shows Falco-DiCorrado, clad entirely in leopard print, refusing to cooperate inside the bagel shop, WPEC reported.

“Get your hand off of me!” she yelled at the deputy. “You are kidnapping me! I will personally … what is your name? Take your hands off of me — you don’t have the right, sir! Get your hand off of me, I’ve done nothing wrong, I’m not a criminal.”

Falco-DiCorrado then accused the deputy of violating her constitutional rights as she was dragged outside in front of several other customers, video shows.

“This is so illegal,” she said at one point in the clip. “I’m asking you to take your hand off of me!”

A second deputy then helped escort Falco-DiCorrado outside, where she was cuffed against a squad car — while repeating, “In the name of Jesus!”

She was busted on charges of trespassing and resisting an officer without violence, the Palm Beach Post reported.

Cindy Falco-DiCorrado, 62, of Boynton Beach, Florida.

The incident reportedly marked the former Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency advisory board member’s second mask-related arrest since the start of the pandemic.

She was also arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest without violence at an anti-mask protest in Lake Worth Beach in May with two other women. She pleaded not guilty in May and has a plea conference hearing set in the case on Feb. 23, according to the newspaper.

Falco-DiCorrado was also featured in a segment that aired in June on HBO’s “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.” She was among a group of critics ridiculed by the host for their views on mandatory face masks in Palm Beach County, video shows.

“The CDC said itself they made a mistake,” Falco-DiCorrado said on the clip. “There’s not enough to make this a pandemic — this is a ‘plannedemic.’”

In late 2017, Falco-DiCorrado was forced to resign from the Boynton Beach advisory board for allegations of being a white supremacist and making racist remarks, including telling one city resident to use “better English,” the Palm Beach Post reported.

“You’re lucky we brought you over as slaves, or else you’d be deported, too,” she allegedly told black residents, according to the newspaper.

Falco-DiCorrado was released Friday after posting $2,000 bail. She pleaded not guilty to both charges, court records indicate.

She claimed Saturday she went to the bagel shop to eat with a friend and has a medical and religious exemption from the county’s mask mandate.

“American freedoms are being taken away,” Falco-DiCorrado told the Palm Beach Post. “It’s a sad day when you have people and officers picking on people for just being alive. This is an abuse of humanity.”

Let her get infected with the virus.
