    1. God Control- To me this is her best video since Bad Girl....that's a strong statement to make considering BG is my fave M video ever. She REALLY knocked it out of the park with the GC vid! EVERYONE (in the US in particular) needs to see this video.

    2. Medellin- Another instant classic Madonna video. This one was easily her best since the original AL. Madonna + Maluma baby = šŸ”„. Just a feel good and beautifully made video. It's criminal this one didn't get ANY recognition for VMA noms (although not surprising). Another one that can sit with any of her best vids from the 90's and fit right in.

    3. Dark Ballet- I feel like a broken record but really, these first 3 vids in particular can truly sit with the best of the best. It's superficial of me but really, it would be #2 if she were in it more.....on the other hand, it's far more effective just the way it is. The msg of this video is as strong as LAP.

    4. Crave- Speaking of being superficial....lol.....Batuka really does deserve this spot as the message and scenery of that video are by far superior......BUT....Madonna is soĀ gorgeous in this video, I just had to rank it high. Her hair, the jacket, it's like Virgin Tour Madonna/Susan stepped into 2019 and I have a major soft spot for '85 era Madonna. This video is wonderful in it's simplicity and it IS a beautiful video as well. Love the mail carrier pigeons.Ā

    5. Batuka- truly a stunning video. You can feel her love for the Batuquideras here. Joyous and sad all at the same time.

    6. I Rise- a powerful "quickie" video. This one came out of nowhere so was a nice surprise. Something has gotta be ranked last though and up against the preceding five videos, it's no question this is the runt of the litter.

My rating is slightly different but you are so spot on with everything you wrote on each video.Ā Ā Each of them areĀ so magnificent in different ways. I love Madonna's diversity and that she is a child of the world ...still young at heart, still speaking out, and letting no one stop her and her creativity.Ā

I remember during MDNA Tour she visited Ellen....hopefully on the NYC and LA stops, she'll do something like that or go on one of the late night chat shows. After all, she'll be in these cities for a while....same for London.

I hope for this too. I'm still hoping for more videos covering some of the other songs. Crosses fingers.Ā

@Voguerista and @Kurt420, thank you and to all the other U.S. fans who kept us up to date on this. I simply wish this was a world-wide event, rather just U.S., where the country really doesn't appreciate the iconic artistry legend Madonna is.Ā  It's great Madonna was allowed a month on there to play just her music. I hope that trend moves to Europe and other countries who would love 24/7 Madonna on radio.

YW and I've hope and pray so too. She deservesĀ so much more respect than she's getting now. She is a legend and they can't take that away.Ā āœØšŸ˜˜āœØšŸ™šŸ™šŸ‘øšŸ¼

SO with you on this!! It NEEDS to become a permanent station. I only got the Sirius subscription because of MX channel and I do plan on cancelling once my "promo" period is over in 2 months.......if they keep it permanent though, I'd prob keep the subscription going!!

Let's keep our fingers crossed. If you have time, write or call them and let them know how you feel.Ā

So Bummed this is the last day for it. Wish they'd extend it thru the tour at least.

I wish they'dĀ extend it too. What a fun party it's been. It's been soĀ much better than I expected too with remixes (withĀ some I've never heard or forgotten about)Ā and old tour performances etc.Ā

There are no more videos planned since before of the album's release. There is nothing else planned except the tour rehearsals. (Hopefully Klein's post is a "wake-up call" and is something linked with the album's promo). The album slowly dies after the first week. I told it before and almost everyone jumped to my throat.Ā

    Excuse my sincerity.Ā

I can't wait for her to prove you wrong!Ā

I think the lyric is: ā€œWill we taste our freedom in the right way? Will we stand together?ā€

Donā€™t disagree with what youā€™re saying, though. It is a universal figure she refers to with the ā€œold manā€ image. But thatā€™s why I think it represents a universal concept, of which there are many specific examples.

Also, thereā€™s a concept in Christianity of the ā€œold Adamā€ and the ā€œnew creationā€ ā€” the old Adam is the sinner, which is ā€œdrownedā€ in the waters of baptism. The emerging person has experienced a rebirth ... so, applying this concept to her lyrics here, she could mean to contain and control the old sinful person inside of us and embrace the new person who cares for others in the community and takes responsibility for their own action (tastes freedom in the right way). Some may think that is off-the-wall, I know, especially since historical slavery was clearly oppression from outside (evil) forces. But Madonna, in Dark Ballet, talks about ā€œthe stormā€ being ā€œinside of us,ā€ too ... and she talks about there being ā€œa storm aheadā€ in Batuka. So I think itā€™s possible to have an ā€œinternalizedā€Ā interpretation, too ... ? If you know what I mean ... That we all, individually, have to choose to exercise our freedoms carefully and responsibly, with love for our neighbors. And she may mean that we have a selfish ā€œold manā€ (ego?) inside that we have to overcome in order to pursue nobler dreams.

Just another thought. Hope it deepens and broadens appreciation ā€” I donā€™t mean to suggest this possible interpretation to the exclusion of the more obvious and literal possibilities.

Ā Beautiful @peter! I love this!! I thought "old man" representedĀ the slave owners or anyone wanting to own or take someone's freedoms away but I love your and @KatypatraĀ 'sĀ ideas on it so much more. I also love how Madonna has got us talking on it.Ā
