Naturally we MUST compare the current album to its predecessor in order to evaluate her musical direction and progress, so it's not about "pitting one against another" at all. The thing is, with RH and also MDNA, many fans had to make their own satusfying track listing, while Madame X is on a completely different plane - it's like she gave us a musical book that you have to listen to attentively, everything is tied together solidly.

    I agree with this.

But when all said and done Madame X is the most ambitious and best work she has released with Universal.

Unfortunately she didn't really come across well..she seemed a bit nervous/tetchy..guests on this show always suck up to each other..it's gross..so i think the general public won't take well to her not doing the same..especially to someone like sir Ian

She did seem cold and stiff throughout but she simply isn't used to being part of a line up anymore she is used to the spotlight just on her...she opened with I'm not used to sharing coaches

hopefully she'll be more relaxed on Fallon

They have a great chemistry anyway I'll look forward to the interview.

  3. She is doing Vogue by the sounds of it for Pride which is wonderful.

Its a shame she didn't get the whole show and it's a further shame she didn't play a song from X although we did get clips of Medellin, Dark Ballet and Crave for about a minute mashed together so that's at least some much needed promo in the U.K. for the album.

I am pleased Graham didn't ask her about Eurovision he's a huge fan of M and obviously backed out of it but I'm pleased as it would of turned the interview into a negative and this was her only prime time interview on the UK so nice that it was left out.

I'm pretty certain she's making an appearance on the actual show, I got this email from the show which states

.........for Thursday’s recording of The Graham Norton Show. On Graham’s sofa this week we have Danny Boyle, Himesh Patel, Lilly James, Sir Ian McKellen and Madonna! With music later from Sheryl Crow.

I just can't handle her just being one of his many guests. She's Madonna and she's not even the music for that night it's Crow?

    Ludicrous.

It was really foolish to not lead with both Medellin and God Control. But, maybe they really do have something up their sleeve this time. There's something very odd about the 1) very cinematic shots from the Madame X intro video, 2) Madonna saying she was up all night filming  back to back videos in the NYTimes interview  3) the fact that she's got a video out for Dark Ballet (and she's not even in it), and 4) God Control being shot months ago but for some reason waiting in the wings.

Could be a video album. Idk, wishful thinking lol

I think she wanted to release Dark Ballet and God Control as leads but they were changed to Medellin and Crave.

I don't think there is a video album but plenty of footage to be revealed. We already have the drag queen video for God Control should be out for PRIDE I think there's at least 1 more music video and single before she tours in September.

You're going to love it. Her team is insane releasing songs like Crave and I Rise and Future to preview the album, not that they're not good songs and they fit in VERY well with the album. I mean, they're album tracks

But when you hear the others you're going to be like okay WHAT? Why were they hiding this from us?!

Faz Gostoso Come Alive and OMG ESPECIALLY God Control & I Don't Search I Find ... it's like fireworks, I can't believe it

I know I agree it does seem odd they held back the albums best songs for promotion.

But Medellin and Crave were picked for streams.....Madonna obviously wanted God Control as the lead she shot that video first long before everything else but the strategy changed.

I don’t know ....but that is what I feel....look here such excitement....everything will get toghether like the storm...rave specialised reviews, talk-shows interviews, announcements on the success of the concert....life performance pride and the Burberry Madame x video... I don’t know but...all it may work. I’m very excited

Oh I'm excited don't get me wrong just surprised that the songs she has put out to form the promo before release are not the strongest....but the era isn't over yet !!

Madame x the strategist....I feel somehow she has done it brilliantly this time.

Has she? Keeping the strongest songs from the public when promoting her new album? Don't you think something like God Control or I don't search I find would of gone down a storm at the Eurovision and generated far more interest for Madame X over Future ?

Hate to be critical this album is amazing but just my thoughts.

Maybe she wanted to build up the album with stronger songs when the album is released and she is right, but nowadays people are getting bored so fast, most of them saying Medellin it's ok but nothing wow and WTF is that Future song and it's sad because they already think this is how the albums sounds... Anyway...

I think she was pursuaded to follow a steaming campaign from her new PR firm which I understand-ish....she obviously wanted God Control as a lead and who can blame her....she filmed that sing first before anything else but she has kept it under wraps.

I can understand why they released I rise, future and crave but they all seem really overshadowed by these new tracks!

I agree. The other material on the album are far superior to what's been released thus far.

Im loving these songs Madonna is a genius once again but I can't help feeling a tad diappointed she hasn't used other songs for the promo campaign as I think the public would of liked them better.

Nobody could have prevented this but the label itself. They KNEW the risks of releasing it digitally at the same time as the physical. Physical releases ALWAYS leak. A few days before the intended release isn't THAT bad. Especially with an album THIS good! Trust me, this album will SOAR! There is nothing we can do other then report links, but it's out there now and you can't stop it...

I agree. The campaign has been strong and the album has been a mystery until the last few days which is fantastic.

    What a pitty the leaking!

Would have preferred an early digital.

we have to work hard on streaming to diminish this.

I have tried, but it’s raining links everywhere in twitter and they are going to other platforms like telegram.

Is there something we can do?

Her team will be out in force I'm sure the small clips got buried quickly but thank God we only days away from release.

Both completely different, LFM is an amazing soaring ballad with some of M's strongest vocals of the last couple of years! Truly epic! This should have been on the regular! One of her best ballads ever possibly?!?

"Is it really love if it hurts
Is it really pain if it's inside
    On the outside I'm strong
    Hold my hand, please sympathize
    Hard enough try to forgive
    Hard not try to live
    Please don't criticize, yeah
    Please please sympathize, yeah

Somebody to teach me to love
Somebody to help me rise above
    I need to survive
    I'm looking for...
Looking for, looking for, looking for mercy..."

Sounds incredible it's taken me an hour tonight to get over how lush God Control is.

Definitely! But for us it's already a HIT. I think this will be a top 5 even 3 for me. MDNA and Rebel Heart are not even there.

To me God Control is the song that has the power to bring a lot of people back to Madonna.....far more than Medellin and Crave. I think once the videos out (it sounds as epic as the song) this will draw much of the general public back....it's so infectious.

God Control (HQ): It's mindblowing. If you listen to it on high volume, it's like a drug, can't get rid of it. Probably one of her best songs from her entire career. NO.1 HIT WORLDWIDE if she would be 30 nowadays.

100% Now this is a song that if she was 20 years younger would be mega for her everyone would be eating it up.

The real strong songs will be:

    Looking for Mercy

    Extreme Occident

    Killer who are Partying

    Crazy

    Come Alive

    Batuka.

Just fucking incredible. This is The album of the decade.

Wow I can't wait or hear the other songs !!

She really hasn't released any of the stronger stuff to promote the album.
