MDNA was being planned in 2011!!!
She took some of the chography, the song mixes and attitude from the Super Bowl....and used it in MDNAtour!
The MDNA album was certainly "rushed" even Orbit was a "last minute" addition in order to come up with a full album....but the tour was in the planning WELL in advance!

I wish she would take time to promote and release singles for like 9 months after the album is released then go on tour. Fuck this, release one single then go on tour and make some half arsed shit videos whilst on tour.
Those days ended for Madonna 10years ago.

Ray of Light or Frozen in sure WB were anything but worried....
Madonna hasn't had such killer first and second singles since the days of Like a Prayer!!!
Both songs made sure ROL was the hottest album to buy in 1998.

Why are nowadays first singles and albums always so far apart? Some years ago they were like 2 weeks apart.
I agree. I guess its all down to hype and promotion.
But three days sometimes first singles are dropped whilst artists are STILL finishing off the album....
I doubt Madonna would ever do that, so I think the timescale of
Single January/Febuary
Album March /April
Tour June/July
I think an OFFCIAL announcment will be made before Christmas, depending on when the album. Is actually finished.

They hype surrounding any new madonna single at this point in her career guarantees her a top 10 I think now whether it quickly drops down is another story.... not sure of that one
I agree to a certain extent.
Madonnas legendary status creates hype BUT without the hype of SuperBowl in 2012....why did MDNA and GMAYL have?
The new single will defiently need a great "set up" aswell as Madonna leading it.

Well Hanky Panky went no.2 on UK, so I cannot see why GMAYL flopped?
And don't start with the "she was on top of the world in 1990".
Hanky panky is a better song than GMAYL!

I miss the days of Frozen, Music and Hung Up when Madonna simply didn't need any "tie ins" or iTunes "deals" to get a top ten hit.
GMAYL was her weakest lead ever, so it NEEDED something to help it chart....
I'm confident her new album will be back to classic Madonna, with a brilliant lead single!

please..there are ALWAYS rumors about VMA, EMA, BRITS, GRAMMIES:
last time she performed was 2006 (gay wedding doesn't count) and it was a single from 2005, not current one.

It's just a timing issue.
Madonna would ALWAYS perform at an award ceromony if time and release dates allows it.
Confessions was dropped at the "right" time for her to assault EMA and Grammys.
Hard Candy was dropped in May 2008, and she went on tour almost straight away....so she was on the road for EMA, the album was "over" by the time 2009 rolled in....
MDNA had SuperBowl, enough said it didn't need anything else.
This time round the timings are perfect for Grammys and Brits.....Madonna might not be so big on traditional promo anymore, but she always wants to perform live.

When is the deadline for the Grammies again? She could still have that Soundtrack single up her sleeves. If that one gets nominated ... they'll be on their knees begging her to perform ... et voila.
Madonna won't have any music out before the Grammy ceromony, that said she has to attend as it will be slap bang when she re-launches herself back to music.
She could use it to premier her new single THAT would be fantastic....but it's the rules that get in the way, I DONT want anybody in the lead this time round BUT if it ment a performance im happy for someone like to "mix" her new single and be on the stage with her, as the exposure would be exactly what she needs to make sure everyone knows she's back!

Madonna has always used award ceremonies to perform her music.
It's the ultimate promo.....and with no Super Bowl next year....she is bound to do either Brits or Grammys.

She wasnt nominated in 2006 yet not only did she perform, she opened the Grammies.
I think it would be stupid for the Grammies to not want her to sing on their ceremony. I think she can still comand alot of attention.
I m not convinced she ll perform though, I m not sure she would want.
She ONLY got to perform because she did it with Gorillaz who WERE nominated.
Unless there's another person on that stage with her that's nominated, she won't be allowed to perform.....that's alwys been the grammys rules.
I'm sure Madonna has her eye on the awards.....she needs to roll out SOMETHING next year.

I hope we get 2 singles before the album at least. Thats why I think it would be wiser to release the st single this year with the second one in Feb.
2singles before the album is very possible without a single this year.
We did get 2 before MDNA in the frst quarter.
It's far too late now for anything this year, I think first single January. Album March. Tour announcment March. Tour kicks off May.

Would be nice to see the lead single get a Grammy performance if it's released around that time.
That, plus not messing up the roll out on Itunes (like GMAYL)
The grammys seems like the "obvious" choice to premier the new single BUT
Unless she has a guest vocal on it from someone who IS nominated she won't be allowed to perform due to the rules.
I hope she does the Brits.....to lift her profile back up here in the UK.

YES here in UK and all across Europe....if it's Hung Up quality, then she will have another number1 on her hands across the world.
America no. After GMAYL scrapped the top ten if it's not the same quality as 4minutes and Hung Up she COULD miss the Billboard top10.
I'm VERY confident the frst single will be a great song.....and result in another number1 for her.

As much as I want the album this year, I'm expecting a timeline similar to MDNA's. January single, March album.
Absolutley agree!
March is the obvious month now for the album.
But a single is January is STILL possible.
For that the video would have to be shot in November/December.....but she won't do that until the albums finished, which it isn't yet.

Christ, even if it is a 2015 release the dates should be announced soon... it is pretty much October now!
Only last week new people were brought in for the album.....so it's still "a working progress".
I think the deadline on it is definely by Christmas....I can see the recording/mixing process taking at least another month....it's brilliant that Madonna doesn't just want Diplo and Avicci "finishing" up the songs....
I think an OFFCIAL announcment might not happen until January, that still leaves 3months until March (the obvious earliest date for a 2015 release) with a lead single still possible for late January.
It's gonna be ALL happening the first quarter of next year, new single, new video, new tour dates, new Madonna!

It's strange that Madonna hasn't herself pushed for professional releases of some of her most iconic moments.
She has saved her most iconic costumes....and she had said before she will launch a roadshow with them.....so maybe she is "saving" the tapes of the BA tour for future reference?

The fact she broght in brand new people only last weekend recording could potentially take place INTO next year.
So the release date is certainly up in the air.

Interesting that they've been brought in so late on in the process.Dj. Dahi and Blood Diamonds are also involved heavily now it seems. Abel did mention working on a track with her as well
I really thought the album would be a game of 2 halves between Diplo and Avicci much like Hard Candy was split between Timberland/lake and Pharell.
But the inclusion of DJ Dahi and Blood Diamonds AND Abel Korzeniowski, meens that the album will be Epic.....and she's really pushing the sound boundaries again!!
It will be anything but boring!!!!
Makes me wonder who will she bring in next?

I would love this to be true BUT the album is STILL a "work in progress" and Madonna has never started in the "creative"/promo material before music is finished.....I think 2014 is now dedicated to finishing the music.
Then 2015 it's ALL happening.
New single(s) I think they'll be 2 ahead of the album drop.
The album/tour announcment.
The tour.
Timescale I can see the first single Febuary (leaving January to work on setting up Promo and the music video shoot)
Second single AND album released in March along with a tour announcment.....then the tour kicks off in May.
I don't think we will get an OFFCIAL annoucmnet of the album until Christmas.
