  1. I'll say 320,000.

    COADF opened with about 350k. That was when the market was MUCH MUCH better. Opening with 350k today would probably be the equivalent of opening with 500k when COADF was released.

    what lol? COAD was only released 2.5 yrs ago. Market has changed a tad, no more than that. Maybe you mean when American Life was released.

  2. ok, here we go, I say 350-375 (possibly a bit more than less) and a number #1 debut for maybe 2 weeks (depending on who, or if theres any competition the week after). 'Cause its *M* this gaurantees her 175-200k min even with a 1st shit single (American Life) LOL.2nd and equally important in this case is she has a RADIO hit, best positive buzz and publciity in AGES. Predictions etc...*NO LAMBS/down-lo Lambs allowed* in this thread lol.

  3. I truly think 4M isnt close to peaking. Its starting to gain some mini momentum again, plus w/ the album coming out etc..This will be in the top 10 for a while. **so shouldve been higher than that obviously**. The American public clearly did all they could to make her #1 from sales, its the radio corporate nazis who prevented it!

  4. ^ no way. *if* she only released this song in a tad bit of a smarter, more calculated way, during less competitive, average chart week (NOT going aganist Mimi 1st week and Leons mega download sales and airplay) she easily wouldve have a 60/40-70/30% chance OF getting her 13th #1. Anyways, for a white 50 yold woman, whom most American radio stations instantly shun, no matter how many #1 requests, download sales, hottest producers, positive buzz etc..and the country itself doesnt feel favorable, we may have to look at top 5 from now on for a Madonna song as the new #1 LOL. 95% fact, not 100%, yet pretty damn fkin close :(

  5. not a surprise. frankly, without the mediabase airplay system "Touch my rectum doc'" wouldn't have had the success it has in US. Overseas, except in Japan, Mariah is not a huge seller. Can you imagine, it was an event for MC's fans when TMB was #1 on itunes for a few days in Spain, where the singles market seem low.

    she has 18 #1, good for her, I hope she enjoys and she deserves respect for her success and longevity. but US system is not fair because of payola (I hope Warner never paid for M to be played). 90's for music, it's like olympic games during the 80's Griffith Joyner or the girls from east germany. doesn't mean much. i hope one day BB will collect and publish datas about requests. I'd like transparence with request because, with sales and number of views on YouTube, then it'd be a chart we can trust more. So long, only sales show how successful a song is. when the market was dead, it had no sense. BB improved its system recently but has to imagine a more accurate one, a combo with airplay from request numbers, AI on Internet (you click so you make a choice) and of course sales.

    :lmao::lmao: LOVIN Marsha!!! :lol::clap::fag:

  6. its dong "well"/way better than so-so worldwide as some are saying. I think its gonna obviously have more longevity than American Life, which also debuted in many countries then w/in a month, well I won't elaborate lol. No, it clearly doesnt have that enormous worldwide domination vibe of HU, "yet" its scoring every bit as well, if not better than the average first M single from a new album. Shes also hitting #1 in countries which she rarely does like Holland, Denmark and a few others.

  7. I dont know about next week. Leona might pass her ass by then, unless there is some factor I am not focusing in on that will keep Madonna's downloads really high?

    well, thats way more of a scenerio I could sleep better over, again, opposed to it being a Mimi @1 for all the weeks M is #2! lol. Thats the bottom of the chart battle end result in my opinion :):scared:

  8. VERY hot bout her scoring #1s in countries where she actually doesnt have that many (TONS of top 10s and 5s, but not #1s)= Netherlands and Denmark, followed by Norway and Finland w/ a few more, but still thats really great that she can add a few #1s to her less cliche #1s scoring places unlike the usual: Canada, Italy, Spain etc..where shes MORE than ahead for most #1s from a female singer. Yet, even with her having the record in the UK too, followed by Australia, Id REALLY like to see this happen again, cause its such a huge market (the UK) and would get the next best publicity next to the US.
