His campaign this last week was awful. He's too sure of himself. She avoids economic questions because she can't answer them, she's even backtracking about the euro when it was a major part of her program.
It's so stressful.

People are stupid. I'm so fed up with hearing the same bullshit every day. What's the deal with people around the world ? They can't stand being "invaded" by the people from coutries THEY invaded first to build their empire and richessness ? They vote Le Pen because they can't stand the black kids next door making too much noise ? Because they can't deal with women wearing a veil ? They are willing to say goodbye to everything they have to get rid of them ? I thought France stood for Republic, Democracy, Human Rights, that's the bulshit i've been taught in school all these years. Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité. That's our identity, not Le Pen's politics. It goes against everything that people identify our country with.
Have been having nightmares with that cunt for two nights in a row and i'm scared my terrible nights will transform into terrible days.
Oh my...I ALSO had very similar 'nightmares' months before of Trump winning. They included his horror show team- Bannon, Guiliani etc etc..Was so vivid and ended up reality! My gut was telling me something :/

They don't really publish surveys, only surveys regarding whom the voters for the candidates from the 1st round will vote for. The big fear is participation, a lot of people are saying they are not going to vote because they don't want to chose between 2 evils...Macron is still projected to win but his margin is getting slimmer by the day

Living in France, I can say that I'm so scared of what's to come. Macron and Le Pen aren't the ideal candidates, that's for sure, but seeing people hesitate between the two, I mean why?? Le Pen is obvioulsy the bigger danger and must be stopped at all costs. She doesn't support the valors France has, and as such shouldn't be the President of the country. And by the way, she claims herself as patriotic, but if she really was, she would support these valors. If you aren't happy with what the country stands for, then just leave the country, don't try to change it, 'cause a lot of people that are living here stands for it too! I'm proud to be french right now, but if she becames the President, i just won't be as much. She might cause devastating things in France, but also in the whole world if she has the power.

How the hasn't the world learned the lesson that this little experiment ain't working and only makes things worse and more divided. After Brexit but ESP Trump this shouldn't even be close. I agree with this to some extent. I was fanning for Booker in 2020 but now I'm not so sure. An outsider would be the Dems best bet to counter this madman. And if they think Warren is their savior, they're in for a rude awaking and another electoral embarrassment.

Fully agree with you about Warren and esp Booker now. Initially I thought it would be all about Warren in 2020 but not anymore. Booker started off very promising but he's turning out to be the same old same old talking points and shtick that we've seen before. Again...Obama lite. Dems need a non divisive person which Warren absolutely is. Plus, she is NOT well liked by a lot of people even within her own party. The GOP despises her so...yeah, even though I do think she's got the fire like a dragon and as of now wants to positively run, do not think she's the one esp for those crucial parts of the country. With you on a Marc Cuban, or a Howard Schultz. There's many people but needs to be someone 200% non Clinton and as clean and non stale as possible.

Yup. Not just defeated but defeated decisively. This cannot be another Brexit and esp another 2016 US election sqeaker kind of bullshit. We really need a major shift in this awful trend. All just feels so wrong. As bad as things are for some people, no idea what on earth people are finding appealing and acceptable about electing these horrible people as a remedy. Well... since 2013 surveys said she will win 1st round and she did. And since 2013 the same surveys said she won't win the 2nd round.
Of course surveys are surveys and it doesn't mean a lot in the circumstance. But I still think many people will wake up and get out on day vote to vote against her. Just like the same happened in 2002 with her dad. Even the right wing party invites people to vote against her. It says a lot.

++1! Thats exactly my point. This maybe even more tha Brexit/Trump may be the final nail and indicator. Its been 5 1/2 months since Trump won and close to a year since Brexit. More than enough time for people to see the damage and repercussions. Don't care if it's razor thin like with Trump winning. If Le Pen pulls this out will be the final nail imo and devastating for the world for many years. By her losing, shows this shitty trend from 2015/ 2016 far right nut bag demagogues possibly eroding and people waking 'back up'. This election I think is the def true test and game changer that'll should affect Germany then 2018 and 2020 in the US. <Praying>

In an otherwise normal turnout model Ossoff would have won outright with the type of Democratic turnout he received, but the abnormally high turnout across the board for a blanket primary shows that Trump's base is still just as enthusiastic about him as ever. They blasted Trump robocalls all through that district and it worked to get Republican voters to the polls for an election they wouldn't have given a fuck about in normal times, that's the real takeaway. His supporters haven't wavered in their loyalty, they're ready to do whatever he tells them.
But the most 'Trump like candidates' didn't do that well last night. The woman who won is a long time establishment kind of anti/indifferent towards Trump. As purple-ish it's gotten in certain areas and highly educated it's still a VERY Republican district. I think that last town that was called (Fulton?) is actually her home town and where she pulled it out (or I should say what brough Ossoff down from 50% ish to 48). Problem is that the totals for all Republicans were still ahead of the Dems, It's 50/50 now for him at the best. Word is though that woman has lost many elections before and is seen as a stale candidate unlike Osoff. Again...50/50 but won't be easy.

Even if something were to happen to Trump, we get Pence (separate but equal horror show).
