    agreed, there definitely seems to be something missing. it is a good song, but not a great song. I find a number of other songs on RH much much stronger

    A clearly peeved Sarah Palin disclosed Tuesday that she was duped into giving an interview to comedian Sacha Baron Cohen — who posed as a disabled vet — for his new program on Showtime.

    The former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate said she and her daughter, Piper, flew across the country to sit down for what was purportedly an interview for a documentary about veterans’ issues.

    “Yup — we were duped. Ya’ got me, Sacha. Feel better now?” Palin wrote on Facebook.

    “I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive, sick ‘humor’ of the British ‘comedian’ Sacha Baron Cohen, enabled and sponsored by CBS/Showtime.”

    She continued: “This ‘legit opportunity’ to honor American Vets and contribute to a ‘legit Showtime historical documentary’ was requested of me via a speakers bureau.”

    Palin went on to say that she and one of her daughters traveled across the country to meet with Cohen, who, she says, “had heavily disguised himself as a disabled U.S. Veteran, fake wheelchair and all.

    “Out of respect for what I was led to believe would be a thoughtful discussion with someone who had served in uniform, I sat through a long ‘interview’ full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm – but finally had enough and literally, physically removed my mic and walked out, much to Cohen’s chagrin. The disrespect of our US military and middle-class Americans via Cohen’s foreign commentaries under the guise of interview questions was perverse,” she said.

    In apparent retribution, Palin said, the show’s staff “purposefully dropped my daughter and me off at the wrong Washington, DC airport after the fake interview, knowing we’d miss all flights back home to Alaska. After refusing to take our calls to help get us out of the bind they’d put us in for three days, I wrote this off as yet another example of the sick nature that is media-slash-entertainment today.” :rotfl:

    Promo materials from the upcoming show, “Who Is America?” also show that former Vice President Dick Cheney also sat for an interview with the comedian/prankster.

    Palin called on Showtime to donate the proceeds of the show to veterans groups, which she accused Cohen of mocking.

    There was no immediate response from Showtime.

    Trump and his cabal of criminal cronies in his Cabinet have been banking on all of the economically irresponsible things they are doing not coming home to roost until after the next election cycle (2020). However the combination of massive corporate tax cuts (reduced tax revenue), elimination of limits on spending (higher spending on military parades, border walls and internment camps etc) and a now rapidly accelerating tariff war with the rest of the world (will spike domestic inflation and hurt exports thus reduce economic activity) are ballooning out the Federal Budget way faster than even the most dire predictions last year and are increasing the likelihood  of a severe stock market correction and an economic recession before November 2020 (the Treasury yield curve is already almost nearly flat). Sadly, as painful as that would be, it might be the only way to end the abomination that is this Administration.

    Also, it just boggles my  mind how there are apparently no consequences for the lies Trump and his WH Advisors make. As an example, Larry Kudlow was on Fox Business today claiming that the Budget Deficit is rapidly declining because of Trump policies - when in fact June data released from non-partisan government agencies show it has GROWN by nearly 25% YoY 2018 versus 2017. It is being estimated the annual Federal Budget deficit will hit 1 Trillion USD by 2020. How are there no consequences for these asshats telling the American public bald-faced lies.     I know several Cubans (including my brother-in-law) that have made the trek through Mexico to get to the US border - where Cubans (at the time) were granted immediate amnesty to be allowed to stay in the US (within 24 hours), and I can tell you that journey was fucking PERILOUS and nothing at all like a walk through Central Park.

    I feel like the media is playing Trump all wrong. They are acting as a massive magnifier, enabling him to spread his awful messages further than he can himself on Twitter. They are reporting on everything he says including all his lies and yes some are now calling him on them sometimes but even when they do that they are ensuring many more people hear the things he says, the lies he tells, and 40+% of the population seems to believe him.  Stop reporting his lies - STOP enabling him.
