    'Rebel Heart,' Madonna

Madge has never had any trouble being iconic -- or controversial. Her 13th album’s cover art spawned a series of memes in which everyone from Michael Jackson to Marilyn Monroe donned her black wire face mask, and she encouraged the fan-generated tributes by posting them to social media. But when renditions of Bob Marley, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Nelson Mandela caused some fans to cry foul, she apologized and denied they were “a crime or an insult or racist."

    Billboard’s Billboard 200 Artists:

    17. Madonna

    Billboard’s 200 Albums:

    179. Madonna, True Blue

I have to question Billbored's methodology for the greatest 200 albums of all time when Daughtry appears at 27, Mooriah has 3 albums in the top 100, Mumbles Jackson has 3 albums in the top 120 and Madonna's first entry is at 179

  3. I lurk around every once in a while. I asked her to sing Bad girl because I really think it will fit in that section, especially after who's that girl lol.

Thanks so much everyone for all the positive energy and support. I'm still high on Madonna from last night :)

Bad Girl - that's what you asked her to sing - well she did say she'd rehearse it and sing it later in the tour

What an amazing experience for you!

  4. Show started before 9.30

She sang Ghosttown after asking for requests and a guy asked her to sing something she said she couldn't remember the words to

but she said she would rehearse it and sing it later in the tour (didn't hear what he request though - anyone know which song it was?)

She screwed up the chords twice in Who's That Girl and laughed about it

She wasn't as chatty as in other shows I have seen at MSG and Barclays but she was still amazing. She keep complaining about the heat - it was really fucking hot in there.

The crowd was pretty decent - not quite a sell out but very full (few empty rows way at the back).

We were right down the front on the catwalk. Definitely great views of the parts of the show on the main stage but hard to see anything in the Heart. From that close the dancers are so amazing and so fucking HOT!! and the costumes for this show are incredible.

UB was a guy I think she recognized from prior shows - she said he'd been to ten shows already - Willie?

The only bummer was 3 women in the row behind us who sat during almost the entire show and one of them I don't think even smiled once in 2 hours - why bother coming - oh well - everyone else around us was going crazy.

    .

  5. What a show - i am still totally buzzing from it

When she finished Who's That Girl and said she had been thinking of doing a new song but wasn't sure she was ready to do it - Brooklyn went bat shit screaming for her to do it. And it turned out to be GT!! OMG I was screaming - I have no voice today LOL

I will never forget in my life the crowd reaction during and after that song - deafening sustained rapturous applause - I hope M never forgets it either. She teared up and I am tearing up now just remembering it.

There is soooo much joy in this show - i hope everyone here get's the opportunity to experience it. M seems to be having an absolute blast. Last night she was adorable and sweet and funny. There were so many amazing interactions. Her dedication to DM with True Blue was so sweet. Pretending to push up the staircase with a huge groan after LDLHA. Laughing about airing out her pussy before Who's That Girl. Discussing hiding her cellulite by crossing her legs in a certain way. And before La Vie en Rose when the platform she was sitting on didn't lift up high enough so she was under the level of the microphone she kept saying 'i need to go up, I need to go up, i need to go up' in the sweetest way.

    What a memorable show..

  6. Just got home - that was INCREDIBLE!!

She was amazing tonight - funny and really playful and sang beautifully. The crowd was totally into it from start to finish. She sang Ghosttown and the entire arena sang along and then gave her a THUNDEROUS OVATION for minutes - she got really emotional and called herself a cry-baby. My partner was crying.

Best show we have ever been to!

    Love love love her

  7. I was raving about the Thursday show to some people at work yesterday - two of them spent yesterday afternoon trying to get tickets for tonight. They were scouring four different ticket reseller websites trying to find the best deal. Work productivity plummeted LOL

the power of the Queen on NY!!

  8. I always just call this the Madonna move lol I went crazy when she did it Wednesday.

I saw a scary old man / escort situation on Wednesday too. The pic isn't loading so I can't tell if it's the same couple we were in the front row of sec 119 on Wednesday. Which were amazing seats by the way. Everyone was luckily standing. The girls behind me before the show were saying they liked the 100s because they didn't have to stand but luckily they didn't complain and stood for 90% of the show themselves! There should be a law against asking people to sit at CONCERTS!

I was in section 119 too - but row 15 - good location to see the entire show from

  9. Just got home - stuck on a disabled bus on the Lincoln Tunnel for an hour with a few other Madonna loons after the show but still smiling

The show was awesome with so many highlights. She looks and sounds smashing and it is an amazingly professional, sophisticated, creative and fun show.

I loved the mixes of Music, Living For Love/La Isla and Deeper and Deeper. Who's That Girl was incredible. Heartbreak City/Love Don't Live Here was amazing. True Blue, the medley and the interludes were great. Illuminati is off the chain - who's crazy idea was that? I could go on and on.

The only two that were a bit flat for me were Holy Water - because they took the filthy heavy baseline out (WHY????????) - and Devil Pray. There were some audio issues through that section from Bitch I'm Madonna through to Body Shop - almost like a backing track and her live vocals were out of sync or there was some kind of echo effect happening - it was odd. After Body Shop it went away.

Can't wait to see the show again on Saturday!
