Well, things dont look great in Scotland for Charles III. Should we expect Scottish UKexit and EUentry within this decade? As for Elizabeth, if the Crown is any indication, it doesn't seem like she enjoyed the position she was born into. RIP.

Scottish govt is going to the Supreme Court later this year to decide the legitimacy of a referendum held without Westminster's consent, which they'll probably lose. Nic then says she'll use the next general election as a de facto referendum on independence - so it's all very messy. Although that's to do with the political union rather than the monarchical one - that decision would be made later by an indy Scotland.

By the way, do you think she chose Scotland to die? I bet she did.

Well she did have an affection for Scotland (she actually has more lineage to the Scottish throne than the English via the Stuarts) but i can't say the feeling was all that reciprocated as it's the most republican of the UK nations.

As for Charlie, quite telling that he makes such a faux pas only hours into the job - "never explain, never complain" was old Liz's mantra  Chuck should take note.

Of course I know what I'm talking about and I think my points are valid. The weird and misanthropic stuff you text on here regularily I don't get though.

Misanthropic? (LOL) Only to and about little cunts like yourself. You're not half getting ratioed in this thread... probably be better off staying in the Madonna section braying about her not singing You'll See in a sparkly ballgown.

and how come charles III is so cunty about the pens on the table? and what happens with his hands?

I think this C-III era is going to last less than a gaga tour

You don't expect one to move things oneself do you? Apparently he even refuses to put toothpaste on his brush himself and the paedo brother screams at staff if they disturb his teddy bear collection he keeps on his bed....and I'm not even joking. Perfectly normal sons old Liz raised!

while Im no fan of the monarchy, those pseudo woke people on twitter are the worst. these are the same people who shared those "cute" gifs of queen elizabeth's 70th jubilee, or said trump should have respect for "classy" elizabeth when he walked in front of her for a second. fuck those hypocrites.

they're spreading a ton of misinformation as well, only to get attention for themselves. if they truly cared as much as they pretend to online, they'd be doing charity work or community service instead of trying to get hit tweets. there's so many sheep online. always repeating the same stuff without doing any research.

Please don't fall for these people using the word "woke" to garner a reaction.

Old jug ears we're now meant to call 'king' (even just writing that feels so stupid in the 21st century) was just a few weeks ago caught accepting literal suitcases of hard cash from the Saudis (for reasons still unknown) Corrupt to the core the lot of them. Cities up and down GB and Ireland are letting off fireworks in celbration of Liz croaking it.. but you won't see that on the fucking news funnily enough.

Whathisface up there who clearly has no idea what he's talking about is just being his usual contrary self that he is in the Madonna section. He'll be ranting about Meghan Markle next. Best ignored.

C'mon...I think for someone who was a well-known and also important figure for almost a century it's appropriate to make the death big news. She is part of the collective memory. Same can be said about John Paul II. Also it's refreshing in times of trillions of internet bubbles and alternative realities to have something that kinda unifies

Eh? The day of her death and day of her funeral is fine, but to have blanket coverage non stop for days on end is ridiculous, and no, it's not unifying when dealing with extremely polarizing figures like popes and queens.

You strike me as one of those bootlicking cap doffers standing outside wailing about some old bird who wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

You are more lucky than us, poor Canadians. We only get to see her face on our 20$ bills, nothing else,

Aw, soon you'll have old jug ears to look at instead. Speaking of which...

Would I be sent to the tower if I told the old cunt to fucking MOVE IT HIMSELF?

My Goodness, she is so painful.  I can't believe the dreadful candidates England put forward as leaders etc.  This woman comes across as stupid, can't speak properly and like Boris, changes her views to suit herself or the current situation.  She is another massive embarrassment and even more alarmingly, is dangerous as has heartless policies and comes across as completely stupid.

Another misfit. Even her speech after Liz died was so shit and stilted. Far more worrying is that she's filled her cabinet with the biggest right wing lunatics going.

depending on who do you ask. The pro monarchy people loved her before the tv show, and love her now. The rest...the show has made her more popular

Didn't some of the royals have to shut off comments on social media because of the abuse they got after the last season? I'm not sure the portrayal of Liz as cold and emotionless outwith her love of horses endeared her to many people.

The next season with Di's death should be interesting - I wonder if they'll change/sanitize anything if Liz does cark it...

I have the feeling the tv series, The Crown, has helped a lot to make her  more loved by people that simply didn´t care about her or didn´t like her because of the way she treated Lady Di. Of course, the ones that loved her, loved her already

That's the view from Spain is it? :chuckle:

Clearly on her deathbed though. Meets Liz Truss then dies days later - quite poetic really.

The EU has announced an emergency intervention and will translate the Spain/ Portugal new model that changes the corrupted algorithm that primes the most expensive energy to calculate the total value. Funny thing is that the UK could do that whenever they want because has complete sovereignty over the energy market after brexit!

You're making the mistake of thinking that a Tory govt is there to serve the people rather than make their rich mates richer.

One wonders if this'll finally make ppl put down their cups of tea and start fucking RIOTING IN THE STREETS when their bills start coming in...

Ok, my doubt is not really connected with the title of the topic but...what do you think is going to happen this winter with the energy? I don´t know about the rest of the places/countries/continents, but the spaniard  government is talking about a super difficult winter, with the prices of everything rising even more. Same with macron in France...

I was wondering why no one seemed to be mentioning this. The UK is on the edge of a cost of living disaster because of it...

I think Spice Girls were a really great group

That's like finding out your Dad listens to S Club Juniors.

I quite liked Girls Aloud, but I don't think they were in any way impressive.

I see this as similar to Harry Potter. Everyone being told to like something even though they know it's actually really derivative shite.

My brother was telling me about Posh Spice Victoria Beckham and how she wanted to stop a football team Peterborough United from using their nickname "The Posh"   Even though they were called that for decades.  She opposed them registering the name.  Seriously, what a stupid vain idiot.

I remember them saying Margaret Thatcher was a spice girl and empowering etc.  I often wonder how there are so many incredibly talented singers and entertainers in the world and people with either little or no talent become stars.  I put the Spice girls in that category ( excluding Sporty Spice who I think has talent )  and it shocked me how many flocked to their reunion concert.   Scary Spice is always in Australia hosting something and is now one of the judges on The Masked singer.  We are like her second home.

Sporty seems to be the most down to earth one but unfortunately I find her voice quite unpleasant. They don't even have a camp factor for me - just went straight from manufactured corporate trash to middle aged housewives.

There seems to be a conveyor belt of the same old faces doing the rounds on these talent shows. I liked X Factor back in the day, but what a lot of contrived shite, really.

The Spice girls always seemed dumb to me.  Completely manufactured and the only one with any real talent is Sporty Spice.  All of this girl power stuff was more the suits behind the scenes creating them.  Never found them remotely empowering as they kept getting described as - they did have some good catchy songs though.

Same! A lot of manufactured nonsense for little girls and teenage gays.
