  1. Today I tried to listen to Pink Floyd's "Shine on You Diamond" or whatever the fuck it is called, purely out of curiosity just to see what the fuss is all about on this band, that they are so acclaimed, being held in high regard among fans of so-called "real music"...I quit after 7 minutes and said FUCK THIS PILE OF CRAP, then I quickly played "I Don't Search I Find", a house masterpiece written by Madonna and Mirwais Ahmadzaï thanks.

Honestly I have NO IDEA why people would lose their shit over THE GRAMMYS .

 Well, @I Don’t Search I Find, sorry but was just thinking, maybe like "B-ible", the word "Grammy" should also be censored on this forum. Just a suggestion!

^^ Inside Out is still one of my very favorite RH tracks, and among my all-time favorites in her entire oeuvre.

Have not tired of any Madame X tracks, tbqh? Aren’t really any low points for me.

    +10000000000000

No low points. Even "Bitch I'm Loca" is necessary to make the whole thing complete.

Slant Magazine includes “God Control” in its list of the “The 50 Best Songs of 2019”.

    12. Madonna, “God Control”
Madonna has a reputation for being a trendsetter, but her true talent lies in bending those trends to her will, twisting them around until they’re barely recognizable. Madame X’s pièce de résistance, at least in that regard, is the six-minute “God Control,” which begins with the queen of pop conjuring the spirit and disaffected monotone of Kurt Cobain—“I think I understand why people get a gun/I think I understand why we all give up,” she sings through clenched teeth—before the whole thing implodes into a euphoric, densely layered samba-disco-gospel mash-up. Madonna’s vocals alternate between Auto-Tuned belting, urgent whispers, and Tom Tom Club-style rapping as she takes on the gaslight industrial complex and so-called political reformers. On paper, it might sound like the ingredients for a musical Hindenburg, but—somewhere around the midpoint, when she declares, “It’s a con, it’s a hustle, it’s a weird kind of energy!”—it all coheres into the most exhilaratingly batshit thing she’s done in years. Cinquemani

    THIS IS MADONNA.

Some days it really feels like we're utterly doomed. This news has kept me up for nights.

The fire has made "Faz Gostoso" a bit heartbreaking to listen to. A crime against the entire world.

Pedestrian? Small painted stone? Not in her top twenty best videos? Is it crack you smoke? These are some of the best videos of her career I have no clue what you are going on about. You and mimifarts can go fuck a garbage disposal tbh

+1 YES. 👏 Especially the bolded parts.

Exactly. Personally, I find this need to always want to get rid of all her collaborators just silly to me, especially on any work concerning this album. This is how she envisioned these songs, and considering how they have all turned out, it's clearly for good reason this time around.

And part of the magic of this song is her taking a bit of a back seat and allowing Kimi Djabaté to shine. In fact, not overdoing it with too many lyrics and allowing the music to shine.

Thanks for bringing intelligence to this thread. 👍

  8. The forum is very quiet these days and that's not necessarily a bad thing. At least we don't have to read dreadful derisive posts moaning about how her fans are being unfair to the previous album, Rebel Heart because we "suddenly" try to "rewrite the history" or whatever by praising Madame X as a genuine career highlight and a new peak in terms of her musical/artistic achievement. :newspaper: :vomit:
