  1. So sad about Mark Blum (Gary Glass) passing away from COVID-19😢

Just found out my cousin & her hubby are in quarantine at home. They went to Florida a week or so ago. (🤦‍♀️) She says they’re feeling okay but still kinda hit home. Seeing all the news out of NYC today had already been bad, this just was a gut punch.  Their whole family are separated now. My aunt is probably around 86 by now. She’s in quarantine too at her house, because she’d been around them too. Just a nightmarish day. 😢

Elections have consequences. Elect a party that doesn't believe in govt and who every fucking time they get elected epically fucks things up (of course the Republicans) and is anyone surprised they can't handle this?

This virus is bad and I believe worse than we all know. People can be asymptomatic and spread it. We only know a fraction of the people who have it.

I am furious and ashamed Trump is our President. Our Intelligence warned him about how bad it could get but he is more worried about himself to care. He called it a hoax, it would go away in weeks, it was nothing. Now look where we are. Several Republican Senators, who were part of the Intelligence briefing predicting huge disruptions to life, later went on to sell their stocks while telling the public everything was going to be ok. You can bet they said that to appease their cult leader.

You have an entire "news" network, FOX, who likewise spread lies. That entire network should be charged with murder/attempted murder and taken off the air.

I hope you all stay safe and well.

  3. I started to go from extreme anxiety, fear & panic in these past few weeks to just feeling numb. I’ve stopped trying to see anything in the future. I can’t. I am taking it day by day. Keeping informed (those briefings by NY Gov Cuomo are informative and coherent) but then also watching something else. Or listening to Madonna. Yesterday it was Pink Floyd.

Ive also began to think about all the things I’m grateful for. That helps too.

I don’t have many friends. Most of my family are dead. So I’m kinda used to being on my own. It was almost like everything I’ve dealt with these past few years or so has kinda prepared me for this terrible situation. It just took a few weeks to put it all into perspective.

I read the stories from everyone in this thread and it’s heartbreaking and I pray for all of you that we make it all to the other side of this!

Peace and love to you all. 🙏🏻💜🙏🏻

He is basically saying - the health of the stock market might just have to take precedence over the health of US citizens and the rest of the world in 15 days (when that starts and ends who the fuck knows). At that time he could choose to end lock-downs and push people back to work and be back to calling it basically just the flu and saying that fewer people will die from it than if the economy is crashed and millions and millions are unemployed and forced into poverty which will 'cause more deaths'. This is based off something Steve Hilton said on The Next Revolution on Fox News (using reporting on an estimated 130,000 preventable deaths in the UK due to 'austerity measures' as his proof point - which is really quite dishonest when in actual fact the study he is citing was specifically addressing the impacts of underfunding of public healthcare. What is especially galling is that Hilton was Chief Strategist to PM David Cameron during the period of time when this underfunding occurred........)

Everything Trump tweets out can usually be traced back to something said on Faux News

FUCK THIS EVIL PIECE OF SHIT

I can’t even look at his disgusting face or hear his vile voice. 🤬

The shortness of breath is the worst part but thank you! I will definitely reach out to my doctor if my symptoms worsen.

Thank you. It's been one week.

Thanks my friend. I certainly will.

    Thank you. Will definitely do!

I'm glad your test came back negative! I wish you continued good health

Thank you! Yeah extreme weakness and fatigue. I actually have been sleeping okay for the most part except sometimes I wake up in pain because of body aches.

As you said, it's a tricky time. I don't know if it's allergies and exhaustion but I seem to have most of the symptoms of the virus.

    I'll keep monitoring.

:lol:Coronabounce. Thanks for the laugh and well wishes.

I will continue to monitor my symptoms and will call my doctor or 911 if I have breathing issues again. Anyway my sister will kick my ass if I don't. She's been calling me every hour and insisting I go to the hosptial.

The problem is my symptoms are considered "moderate" although I think shortness of breath is serious. I don't have a fever or cough. I'm  afraid they'll turn me away if I go to the hospital. I know others who were exhibiting symptoms that went to the ER and they were sent home and unable go get tested.

Like you said, they don't have enough testing kits unfortunately and I actually work at a hospital. It's not easy to get tested. They want to save those kits for people who exhibit "serious" symptoms and/or who have actually been in contact with someone that's tested positive.

2020 has been such a shit year so far but I'm hopeful we'll all get through this.

I hope you get to feeling better very soon. 💜🙏🏻💜

I haven't posted (properly) on the forum for weeks (even months) due to personal issues, but this whole thing is terrifying.

Not only am I worried sick about leaving the house to try and get some basic food supplies (that may not even be on the shelves), but i'm also terrified because people with Asthma suffer a higher risk of complications if they catch it.

Thankfully, I bought my little dog her usual sack of food three weeks ago, so it'll be enough to last her for the next 5 -6 months, but this whole thing is like something from a horror movie.

Anyway, stay safe everyone, and try to stay calm and don't panic.

Stay safe yourself. We’re all in a state of fear & anxiety. Take care of yourself and each other. 🙏🏻
