The so called "neutrals" with their double standard attitude, too scared to openly admit what they stand for yet they keep on pandering on the same beliefs and people each time.

    Hypocrite and cowards.

    Name them?

You used to be so much better than this. I don't know what happened to you truly and honestly. You're one of the reasons that ultimately led me to the decision of deleting my madonnanation account.

It was great while it lasted. See you guys. I'm seriously done here. Last straw

Oh come on. Don't go! We can all get along and hate each other at the same time!:queenbitch::inlove::provoke:

Melania can record an album in 5 different languages, she is multi lingual.

  3. He probably didn't think he would win at first, but I don't know if I believe he did it all simply for an ego rush, what a thing to do for an ego kick; run for president! I'm sure these super rich people probably need bigger thrills, so perhaps it could be a possibility, but I would think it's unlikely. He said months and months ago he'd be happy to drop out and go back to work if it turned out he stood no chance. He could have begun failing his campaign then but he stuck to numerous rallies per day at some points.

Do a rewind on time to his last decade of reality TV celebrity status, we'd be shocked to imagine Donald Trump known to many simply for The Apprentice and hotels running for president in the near future, but when you look back at his interviews, he was asked about running on and off for the past 3 or so decades, there were signs him running could be a possibility. I think the closest he came to possibly running before now was 2000, is that right?

And what are you implying exactly?

    I liked your post.

After a few of us declared ourselves neutral, and after I mentioned Caitlyn going to the inauguration according to the Daily Mail, Kim said he's watching "The insidious right wing element of this place trying to pass themselves off an "neutral" while quoting from faux news and The Daily Fail and only ever having anything to say about anything remotely liberal and progressive..." so I used his word, all be it in a ridiculous context, but hey, I am not a right winger nor do I quote the Daily Mail as a source of legitimacy hence the phrase according to being used by me! I find most mainstream media abhorrent.

I don't think anyone here is being insidious, that's quite a harsh word, but really, why would there be a need to be sneaky anyway? It's a Madonna forum, it's not a job. If I came out and said I was right winger who voted Trump and jumped on my neighbours daisies what will be done to me? Right now as I've not posted a photograph, I'm simply a font on a screen! I can be and say what I want without a consequence really. Why would I hide it? Posing as neutral while anonymous is pretty pathetic.
From what I've read on here, I think people in this thread and around the board generally are upfront. We talk bluntly with each other (sometimes it hurts :imsad: lol) There are the silent voters sure, but, FROM WHAT I'VE READ I don't feel anyone here is hiding a red hat under their cone bra, those who did go red do seem to be OK with letting people know.

  5. @XXL I tried to quote a post of yours but somehow it's not showing up, so I'll just say I enjoy your posts in this thread thus far (I'm a few pages behind)!

You are correct in that I partially don't agree with your point of view. But I'm not sure you understand what I don't agree. I will try to clarify it.

I completely understand and respect your disdain for the Trumpster, he is vile. What's to disagree there? Is he going to "save" America and "make it great" again? I wouldn't bet on it. So we do have something in common.

However, I am not going to inundate my Facebook, Twitter, Madonnation, whatever, with over the top anti-Trump rhetoric because I believe it's counterproductive in our current environment. He was elected even though I did not vote for him. What else can be done? Impeach him? Well, it will probably happen. What can I do as a citizen at this time? I could protest. But protest against what? His election? He won it. What else to protest? Should I protest because he is not morally admirable? Yes, but everyone already knows that. What would that accomplish?

I will be the first one to voice disagreement with any of his policies that I believe are not for the benefit of the nation. So far all I can do is dislike some of his picks for his cabinet. Mr. Exxon and Mr. Sessions leave A LOT to be desired and I hope that the vetting continues. Am I convinced that it will work? I'm not sure. Then what? What can I do? Whine? What I can do is have level headed conversations with people surrounding me about how I believe this corporate approach to diplomacy may not be a great approach. And if someone disagrees with me, I will not suddenly label them Trump admirers.

Ultimately what can really be accomplished if no one consciously attempts to stay neutral amidst this political polarizing of America? Labeling people that consider themselves neutral as Trump supporters is just going to alienate them in my opinion. And I firmly believe that the democrats are doing themselves no favor by labeling every Trump voter as a supporter of bigotry, homophobia, etc.

So, I disagree with you regarding the absence of neutrality when it comes to Mr. Trump. My disagreement with your opinions have more to do with style than substance. I think I did undermine your view that the US will become another Russia and that Trump will set us back 20 years because I seriously disagree with both stances. And I really fail to see how that makes me suddenly a Trump supporter.

Most of my discussions on this forum were regarding how he won the election by winning the blue collar vote in the Rust Belt, how our media created him and ironically lost its credibility with the masses because of it and how scary it is to have journalists that are so clearly biased on both sides of the spectrum.

I am not afraid of voicing my opinion when I think it can make a difference. I don't see the need to keep repeating how awful the guy is because everybody knows it. You may continue to label me whatever you want though. Just be careful of who you label your enemy because you may find yourself surrounded by people that won't challenge you.

    Relax. Better days will come.

    Insidiously rational.

  6. I do find it interesting that all these scandals about Donald Trump make global headlines yet there was next to nothing about the women who accused Bill of rape who said Hilary tried to instil fear so they wouldn't come forward. ALLEGEDLY. That scandal somehow never took off much further than YouTube even though Trump mentioned the allegations in a debate and the women sat at a press conference with him, but this buzzfeed article amoungst all the other allegations against Trump make the news everywhere (even before he won). The media was so biased during the election, and still is really.

Maybe it's because I'm neutral, I don't support him or loathe him, that I notice the bias.

Instead of posting viral shit for the professionally outraged to pretend to be up in arms about, like this is TWITTER or something, maybe someone can actually start talking about POLITICS again, especially for those of us outside the US but who still see how the upcoming regime will affect the entire world. Funny how the people actually making real discussion like @XXL never have their very valid points responded to, while the insidious (faux?) right wing element of this place carry on with their nonsense.

Perhaps a moderator could put all that discussion elsewhere if it's messed up this thread? Although I'd say it fits the topic of politics, if this thread has specifics then fair enough. I think were done now anyway, sometimes conversation about events happen, and sometimes they do get lengthy and go askew, so excuse us ... or me.

It really seems like white people wait for something like this to happen so they can use it to bash the left, and cry "HYPOCRISY!" And it's awfully sad. This behavior is inexcusable, but there are HUNDREDS of hate crimes that happen against black people, like THESE http://www.fox2detroit.com/news/local-news/133031243-story every day that are swept under the rug, not covered and the people who do it get away with it. It annoys me so much that crimes like this one are used by some white people as ultimately an excuse to be racist. They can't wait to call these black people thugs and cry about how racism against them exist (which is IMPOSSIBLE) Violence is VIOLENCE. Hate is HATE. It has no boundaries and it's not discriminatory. If you're using this crime to condemn anybody but the people involved, you're doing the MOST

    "The behaviour is inexcusable, but..."

Don't you see how the BUT is #problematic. The "but" and the continued talk of how white people do things may not be intentional but make the event of this boy being kidnapped seem EXCUSABLE.

You are accusing me of doing 'the most' (most what?) for expressing my views on a Madonna forum in regards to the social justice liberal Don Lemon discussion (I think the woman was Simone Saunders?) types who had the audacity to downplay this as just misguided kids, or Shaun King who is apparently the king of justice for race relations, who said he won't tweet about it because it's done and over and used his article to further go on about how black people are victims and how Donald Trump was accused of rape. He even mentioned the horrific murder of Emmet Till. So what is it? A tally? White people being attacked doesn't matter too much because, well, black people suffer more? Oh, and also because Trump is president? This sort of shoulder shrug from those with the ability to reach others is not how to soothe race relations.

But it's the predicted reaction all around sadly, somewhat similar to the past few pages in this thread, it has gone from this boy being attacked to how racist America is to blacks and minorities and how Trump is awful. And now people who are pointing out the lack of reaction or the lack of willingness to call it was it is are being called racist. I guess we should just read the story and move on, cause like tumblr says, white people can't be victims, only those with 'all the power' can be racist - a notion I do not agree with. I think this notion that tumblr types keep slinging around is dangerous really, racism is racism, the world is bigger than white or black American race relations, to say only one type of people can be racist to others is wrong and will lead to more of these things occurring.  We can not keep dividing people with this rhetoric.

Saying this is a disgusting vile racist hate crime doesn't downplay the atrocities black people have faced or do face in America. You don't go against the narrative of justice for black people to say this was an awful EVIL attack. Don Lemon somehow couldn't bring himself to do it though, he stopped someone from calling it evil on his show. That is a problem, the media should be reporting all of these things equally. We don't stop racial tension this way, it causes more of it if anything. If race relations are at all to be fixed we need not make excuses for ANYONE, whether the excuses are subliminal or not.

This is now a non story anyway, yesterdays news, who cares? People have moved on from the 12 hours of Twitter reactions to it. Thankfully nothing hysterical occurred due to it.
