  1. I don't mind ifshe performs with young artists, but with fucking LMFAO, their music is horrible.

This is just Madonna like when on "The Virgin Tour" she decided that Beastie Boys would do first part as they were so horrible that people would wish for her and she would shine even more. If they are that horrible live then people will actually verify that those guys that had 2 Billboard Hot 100 in the past 6 months are way worst live than the Fantastic Veteran Madonna. Plus lot's of people will plug-in on LMFAO, people that Madonna wants to market to also! (especially young and commercial/independent dance audience).

I think this idea it's just pure mastery!

She knows what she does ;)

    She is THE BEST!

  2. Bye Bye Baby was performed so that Madonna could hold off and hide the new look (short cropped blond hair with a scarf) and D&G costumes for the tour that started 3 weeks later in London, she couldn't perform Erotica, D&D or Fever and obviously Rain was never going to open an awards show and get her in newspapers all over the world

    Exactly!

Plus "Bye Bye Baby" was being released as a single in some European markets on that month too. MTV Europe was playing the performance as a video in heavy rotation as the time since it didn't exist a video for the song. She probably didn't have time to shoot a video and decided to perform so the song could be played on MTV ;)

  3. I hope Masterpiece doesn't make it into the album. The song is dull and maybe it is perfect for the movie soundtrack, but that's it.

I like the song but Madonna had way better songs and better ballads in the past. It's not a favorite to me... if they will replace it with a better song that's great.

  4. She has always done that. It seems to be the norm.

However, if they had waited 2 weeks to release "4 Minutes" to iTunes, she'd prob would have had her 13th number one.

Yeah... too bad it peaked at #03...

She will probably get it anyway this time. ;)

Releasing it 1 week before going to present the song at SuperBowl and having Niki and MIA with her will certainly make the trick.

Radio will almost certainly play her this time because of the pack, SuperBowl and the radio absence of almost 4 years.

To help all this the SuperBowl hype will certainly make the downloads go very high!

This will be Madonna 13th #01 Hit in US for sure!

  5. BTW, Nick Cage?

    Nick Cave

Regarding Jason Donavon, he was quite successful bettwen 88 and 92 in UK scoring 4 UK #01 singles: "Too Many Broken Hearts", "Sealed With a Kiss", "Any Dream Will Do" and "Especially for You" (with Kylie). He also got other 2 singles peaking at #02 and a total of 10 TOP 10 Hits, 13 TOP 20's and 16 TOP 40. Then he was gone and I never heard of him again.

  6. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Wow. Yet another deluded fairy dreaming away.

The day Madonna shares a stage with the Incontinent Princess will be the day hell freezes over.

    :lmao:

    Don't be mean :lmao:

We all know that Madonna does have sympathy for Kylie as she wore a T-Shirt with her name on it. Besides I believe that after the Kylies breath cancer episode Madonna sympathy had probably grow since her Madonna died of it.

I would love a Kylie and Madonna duet but it depends on how it's done.

Kylie looks at Madonna as a God as we all here do so this can only be something huge.

By the way... besides Dannii and Jason, Nick Cage seems to be sharing the stage too... and probably a lot others... but the final song (if it happens) is when Queen Madonna gets to the stage and Kylie does a thank you speech to Madonna like "Without you I wouldn't exist", "You're my inspiration... bla bla bla", "It's a dream come true to finally sing with you after 25 years wishing... bla bla bla" ;)

You all know that this is one of Kylie biggest dreams, don't you? And that she already called Madonna her God in an interview (at least once).

  8. Obviously it's the flawless ADELE.

    Adele ??? lolol

She probably is enjoying more success in US singles wise. At least got 2 #01 singles there already and only 1 in UK.

Adele only had 4 year to sell or chart anything (first single was released in 2007).

She only released 7 singles - that's the number of Kylie Minogue #01 single peak positions. Adele is doing great but her sales and statistics are still quite lower. She has potencial to become really big but for now is the fever of the moment... as Shania Twain or Alanis Morissette were once.

So far this is what UK Adele statics look like this:

1 #01 single ("Someone Like You")

2 #02 singles ("Chasing Pavements" and "Rolling in the Deep")

Total of 4 TOP 5 (and also TOP 10)

Total of 7 single releases to go TOP 20 ("Set Fire to The Rain" peaked at #11)

    Around 3 million singles sold

    2 #01 UK albums

    Around 6 million albums sold

Achievements: Longest #01 album by a female artist / Biggest selling album by a female artist (she have an album that performed quite well - let's see how she goes along)

  9. She isn't.

Well Suedehead... if she's not #02 who is then?

I did a research and Kylie have:

    7 #01 hit singles, 10 #02 peak singles. A total of 24 TOP 5 Hit singles, 32 Top 10 Hits and 42 Top 20 Hit singles.

Plus some other singles she features.

She sold around 17 million singles in UK

Albums wise she had 5 #01 albums in UK.

She sold around 10 million albums in UK´

The peak position I confirmed but the sales I'm not completly sure if they are very accurated but seem right.

Last year she became the first female artist to have a #01 album in 4 different decades (claims her official website).

Madonna will achieve that next year for sure once her new album is released.

  10. Well... I don't think Dannii is that talented... but she is the artist with more #01 dance hits in UK Dance Charts...

As for Jason... does he still sings???

Besides... she is only going to share stage with Kylie in UK where Kylie is the second most successful female artist (the first one is Madonna)... all the others will be there like in an award show there are a lot of people sharing the stage but Madonna is still the only true star...

  11. It was in The Mirror today: Kylie to duet with Madonna

    Kylie to duet with Madonna

by Dean Piper, Sunday Mirror 1/01/2012

PLEASE let this come true! I hear KYLIE MINOGUE has HUGE plans for 2012 – including a dream duet with her pal MADONNA. This year will be big for Kyles when she celebrates 25 years in the music biz and plans are afoot for a big ITV special celebrating her career. Apparently the plans include more than one duet. My source tells me: “There will be lots of duets. The plan so far is for a duet with her sister DANNII, NICK CAVE, JASON DONOVAN and a finale featuring a duet with MADONNA.” The ladies have worn T-shirts with each other’s names on in the past – so they clearly think they’re both tops!

I hope this come true too!

  12. Oh God! Is everyone crazy?

    Calm down bitches! :angel::thumbsup:

The show has not began... but it will next year and it will be f*cking better than we expect!

After all, she's Madonna! And it's 4 years since "Hard Candy"! Have faith!

The demo is a bit teenager but it's not bad and it's incredibly catchy which usually means radio airplay!

I want her to be #01 again, don't you want that too?

If people are a bit tired of the song 5 or 6 weeks later so what? It already peaked both sales and airplay and probably got to #01 and it's time for a second single release by the 7/8 week. If second single is radio friendly, after having a #01 hit, radios will certainly play it too!

  13. The single sounds like a mess. It's like she forgot about quality control which is incredible for someone

who until recently has managed every part of her career so carefully. Didnt she learn anything from the mess

that was Hard Candy. Most of her fans don't want to hear rappers in a Madonna song.

Did you heard the final version and didn't it share with us???

Or... are you just acting like a drama Queen just because the crappy demo doesn't have the quality of a final version??? For God sake, it's a studio demooo!!!! Studio demos are simple, plain just to understand what should be the direction to go before recording and mastering the final version! And shouldn't be stolen and listened by general public. That's why Madonna was so mad with the leak in the first place!

Wait for the final version to come out and don't act childish. Didn't you learnt something from Madonna's carreer? Don't act like f*cking paparazzi's! (She should walk like she was on the red carpet all the time to be photographed!!!)

  14. This is so nothing new for Madonna. Nearly EVERY album has had SOMETHING either near it's release or the middle of it's run that "distracts" her from fully focusing. Dating back to when she was promoting DSS in favor of filming proper videos for Angel, Into The Groove and Dress You Up....to letting BOE and SEX TOTALLY overshadow her music from Erotica.....to choosing to shoot the Lifetime film The Next Best Thing in favor of touring which she hadn't done in 7 years.....to this most recent example.

The difference is now people are scrutinize EVERYTHING so much instead of just going with it. It's always what she SHOULD be doing, never mind that she's been doing what SHE wants to do for 30 years and being that she's the most successful FEMALE RECORDING ARTIST in history, I'd say that has worked out for her pretty well! :)

  15. What?

Common... she did this lot before...

    Desperatly Seeking Susan?

    Shangai Surprise?

    Who's That Gilr?

    Dick Tracy?

    Body of Evidence?

    Evita?

    The Next Best Thing?

She was always promoting movies and new albums or tours or whatever at the time she released all that!

When Body of Evidence came out was almost at the same time as Erotica and the Sex book... that was a little too much to promote(album, film and book!).

Besides she got evolved into more movies right now in her career than album. She was always into both industries (Music and Movies). It's not like she is giving films more importance than she ever did. It's exactly the same. Have you forgot that?

  16. As I posted in the other thread, this has to be for licensing and distribution. The Live Nation deal already had her album advances:

The 10-year deal reportedly includes: $50 million in cash and stock for the right to promote Madonna's concert tours; a signing bonus of $17.5 million; and advances totaling $50 million-$60 million for three albums.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2007/10/13/us-madonna-idUSN1325809620071013

I think Live Nation just licenses the distribution to Interscope. Her true record advance was closer to $15 million. Even when she was at Warner, she got $5 million per album.

    Exactly!

And yes it's the same distributor of Lady Gaga so I think we are going to have "monster" promotion for the album this time arround ;)

  17. Madonna Signs With Interscope, Source Confirms

    December 14, 2011

By Jem Aswad, with additional reporting by Ray Waddell

Madonna has signed with Interscope, a source close to the situation confirmed to Billboard.biz Wednesday morning (Dec. 14).

According to a report in the New York Post, the singer will continue the 10-year multi-rights deal with Live Nation -- said to be worth more as much as $100 million -- that she signed in 2007, but has inked a three-album pact with Interscope at a base of $1 million per album. Billboard.biz's source could not confirm the terms of the deal at press time but said the report sounded right.

Madonna left Warner Bros., her label home of 25 years, after the release of her 2008 album "Hard Candy." Her subsequent Live Nation-produced "Sticky & Sweet" tour grossed $408 million worldwide, according to Billboard Boxscore, highest ever for a female artist.

While she is signed with Live Nation, the company's CEO Irving Azoff reiterated to Billboard in February that it would partner with some other entity in releasing Madonna's next album. Executives at the firm have stated repeatedly that they don't intend to enter the record business full-tilt.

"Live Nation, prior to the merger, entered into some of these all-rights deals, so there are certain artists, Madonna being one of them, that there is a recorded music strategy," Azoff said. "Once she gets the album recorded, we'll sit down with her and her manager Guy Oseary and figure out what's best for the record. It has to start with the music."

Azoff said Madonna would begin recording the album as soon as she finished work on her directing debut, "W.E.," a look at the scandalous love affair between Wallis Simpson and Britain's King Edward VIII, which is out early next year. A rough version of a ballad called " Masterpiece," reportedly from the film and her forthcoming album, leaked last week.

Also last week, it was confirmed that Madonna will be performing during halftime at the Super Bowl on February 5 in Indianapolis.

A different song, "Give Me All Your Love," leaked last month and Madonna teased the crowd about it during a Smirnoff event in New York last month, but stopped short of playing it. Last week, M.I.A. let it slip that she, Madonna and Nicki Minaj were working on a new song together.
