  1. And to prove my point I can add this too for those who dont want listen at the Furbi headquarters

Julia Roberts didn't make barely $20 million in 2009 please....go and tell it to ur granma in your Colorado cottages or Vermont whatever the place it is

She had a Lancome contract worth at least $20,000,000 plus I am sure she was smart enough to include merchandising clauses in it

Plus the $15 million she got for getting to work with Clive Owen plus the money she makes out of the DVD sales of all the projects she produced

her appearance at Canale 5 lastfall must have cost berlusconi a fair chunk of cash...... it would kind of make her like a latter-day robin hodd

so to speak...with all the due respect for some of Berlusconi's family..... without them there would never have been a Lorella Cuccarini

interviewing Madonna on Canale 5....so..... as kurt Loder says *Whatever*

  2. I love that Oprah and Beyonce hold the top two spots.:bow:

However, thus Forbes list is pure P.R. They have no idea what the true worth of any of these people are, which is why they use all of this other criteria to calculate ranking. No celeb with a brain would ever tell them how much they're truly worth, unless they want the IRS breathing down their neck.

Oh God thank you for this intervention in this thread

you said exactly what I meant in my other posts but in a more concise and less crazy way

Thank God there's still people even among Madonna fans whose brains are still functioning in all of his components

    Good going Afrolito

You truly stole what I meant this once :D

  3. Anyway Madonna made way more than that amount in 2009

According to a Wall Street Journal article of 2007 the terms of her Arthur Fogel (God bless him) Livenation partnership are very specific

As Nightshade was once in 2008 explaining this to me upon my request...she's entitled to between 70 and 85% of the tour gross

so if you do the math (even if you wanted to act all prissy and just count how much money she earned with Sticky and Sweet part 2 in 2009)

$59m is not even 50% of the Billboard reported final tour gross (almost $140m, just for the two-months track *cough cough*) and if on top of that

you add the spare cash the Bernard Arnault LVMH gave her for LV campaign part 2 plus the money that her friends Stefano and Domenico gave her for the

brilliantly shot Steven Klein campaign plus the royalties for every time every radio somewhere in the world plays one of her songs (you won't hear

much played) in Afghan households (unfortunately) plus all her properties and the art she lands to museums plus a zillion other things well

    Enough said

I know that it must be upsetting not to see Madonna on top of that list for a Madonna fan because she works so much harder than anybody else I have ever heard

of in the biz and rightfully deserve to be on top of that list (which is just a magazine list by the way, thank God is not a prize that is to be

cherished for life)........but and now I conclude bear in mind that we are talking about the publication that in 2007 was estimating her to be worth

$300 million in total....... now if you check the Sunday Times rich list (jeez those Brits are sure obsessed by rankings and ranks :chuckle: )

it will tell you that barely 12 months later Madonna was worth £300million :rotfl:

I mean we have established for a while now (unfortuantely) that there's a difference between 300 Million Dollars

    and 300 Million Pounds :elite:

  4. When will someone else other than OPRAH be #1? So boring. :ugh:

It wouldn't be flattering to the corporate interests that Forbes represent if it was different

Oprah is great don't get me wrong but really here in Italy you won't find many people without satellite tv that know her

As I am sure most 75 yo grandmothers European grandmothers have absolutely no idea of who she is...... but for instance

all of their grandchildren sure know who Madonna is in some measure or another, with emotions tending much or less towards sympathy or disapproval

or whatever.....But No one here in Europe doesn't know who Madonna is

  5. Madonna destroys Meryl Streep

    :dramatic:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2N2rBolXLo

She will indeed this time around with the movie she's directing in England at this very moment

I am sure in the end Elisabeth will grant her permission to film "on location" :dramatic:

    Talking about Meryl :inlove:

I love the tribute that Jack Nicholson gave her

    Oh Jesus Christ :rotfl:

I have always had a soft spot for Kurt Russell :smooch:

He looks like what my dad would have looked like if I had ever had one

  6. The best part of this interview is the ending. Love the way she's walking out looking like THE QUEEN that she is, while Erotica is playing, and she's surrounded by all that security and everyone's following her out. LOVE IT.

I am glad you liked it as much as I do :vogue:

give me a real star every day thank you

  7. I've finally seen this masterpiece of cinema! (it randomly came on HBO at 2:00 AM)

I expected a piece of shit, but despite what the reviews said, I actually enjoyed it. William Dafoe & Madonna had good chemistry and her acting was NOT HALF BAD. Sure enough, she blinked every 2 seconds and delivered her lines like a 2 year old would, but thats typical of her.

The plot was interesting enough. Young whore dates rich old man, fucks him to death, and inherits his $$$. Predictable at times, but still entertaining for the most part. The supporting cast was DECENT. Especially the Black Lady Judge. Total bitch! She was HILARIOUS!!!! :rotfl:

Back to Madonna; She was sexy as hell; her mannerisms, her facial expressions, HER BODY, everything... the sex scenes were pretty hot!

& her character, Rebbeca Carlson, was such a whore: "Don't look so hurt, Alan. I fucked you, I fucked Andrew, I fucked Frank. That's what I do; I fuck!" :rotfl:

Her 'look' in the film was great too. Very reminiscent of the Bad Girl video.

    anim_boe.gif

Despite the unintentional comedy and slow-pace, I enjoyed the movie for what it was. And seriously, MADONNA IS SEX PERSONIFIED. :drama:

    word for word

    :tigger:

  8. Body of Evidence :wow:

My fav scene is when she storms off the court building with Willelm Defoe and all the paparazzi are chasing her....in vain

I love the promotion she did in Italy for the film :inlove:

They sure gave her a warm reception (I mean the audience)

"I have never seen paparazzi in a TV show"

  9. Oh no doubt, but I like the fact the she personally doesnt put herself out there 24/7 like so many celebs do on these social networks. It would gross me out if Madonna turned into Demi, a middle aged woman twittering her every move and taking part in spats with people who talked trash about her on it. Tacky as hell.

    My exact same considerations

Except for the Demi part :gent:

I have always had a soft spot for her :inlove:

Loved her in 2006 Half Light :flirt:

I love her charachter because she's American but lives in London and gets to make money selling her ideas :). I love the part about the £4m publishing contract that Rachel Carlson (Demi) has........... when I first saw it in 2006 (in Italy it was released the same day that the "I'm going to tell you a secret" DVD came out) I said to myself one day perhaps I too will write colourful interesting stories and become rich rich rich with them :elite: .

You could make a lot of people happy with £4m

  10. Many diehards made up there mind about HC before it was released. The ones that are still pouting that she worked with "black ghetto people that are beneath her" (sorry to put it like that but it doesn't take much reading between the lines with some comments posted by people here over the past couple years) are going to buy the next album and most likely love it anyways. I don't think she was as worried about her diehards with HC, nor should she be. She gave multiple orgasms to most of our ears when she released COADF....that album was for her "pink posse". What's wrong with her doing a sound *SHE* has never done before? That's what Madonna is all about.

    word for word :dramatic:

  11. :lmao:

It's funny that you're the one laughing :chuckle:

While you are lazily waiting for the next "Madonna coming out of Cecconi with Stella" pic to pop out of the web to gratify you or keeping busy writing poor (and very very subjective accounts of Madonna's artistry or her lack of something or whatever, she has made $240m in the past 24 months alone and barely 40 months ago has been featured on every major international media outlet, print or TV, in Europe, Asia and North America being accused of having "snatched a child out of a country" (the same accusers that on the other hand praise (someone like) Angelina Jolie's "philantropic " efforts :chuckle:

In the span of just 13 months she made $60m in huge name Fashion campaigns alone...for what?

Showing up for an afternoon work session 4 times in total? If this isn't a sign of someone's brilliance in that field then I don't know what it is.Don't forget that those kind of things in the business (and for how marketing and media approach functions in 2010, in a period when banks, newspapers and airlines abruptly close down and where people seem to be wanting to spend less and less for fashion without renouncing value at the same time) are the only things that Really count

More than a thousand rodents on your shoulders, or silly hats...or tea sipping in your lingerie in the middle of Mayfair

If you disagree we can talk about Hard Candy and Sticky&Sweet even Celebration (if you want) ....

Hardy Candy (85% of positive reviews) 15th best-selling album of 2008 (no major talk show promotion, not in the US nor Europe). Sticky & Sweet (100% of positive reviews, only some journalists scoffing, in May 2008, at the fact that she would indeed fill all the stadiums booked and she proved them wrong, again) Most successful solo tour ever and second all time highest grossing tour

That's just 10 months ago so I don't get the point you're trying to make in this thread

I understand that you have a different opinion on Hard Candy...if you said "I just don't like HC" I would understand more and respect that.... but please let's leave out the pretentiousness and not act like Madonna needs any "business" advice from any of us and certainly she doesn't care about anyone's thoughts regarding her artistic choices and directions nor should she

Just as you would expect from A Real Artist

  12. Say what you will people but 4 Minutes was great.

My fav tracks off hard candy happen to be the Pharrell tracks - although I love Miles Away.

Madonna is the ONLY musical artist in the history of popular music to have consistently great albums throughout her career- all the way into her 50's. So really stop being so petty and nit-picky. There are some that I dont particularly think are her best (Erotica, Ray of Light) but I know what they are and how other people love them and how they shape and are far superior to her contemporaries.

Finally someone speaking the Truth :vogue:

  13. This doesn't even make sense. How can a hit album and having the most successful tour ever by a

solo artist "lower her profile"?? The "horrible" tour is nothing more than your opinion and based on the critical and fan

reviews you are actually in the minority with that opinion. Even the fans that hated HC tended to like the tour. I'm not

dissing your OPINIONS because you are entitled to like what you like.

But why do you make up lies all the time and present them as fact? Or do you actually believe them?

    :rotfl::thumbsup:
