I love the cover, but I think its absurd to really have MadameX without Extreme Occident - I bought the Deluxe. EO is absolute brilliance. I don't know how, but I think its among her best songs ever... In retrospect, I think its a genius move, because lots of fans bought both albums which helped her immensely.

Nice surprise. European Turkish Trace, Istanbul, Izmir have always been pro European, pro democracy, more liberal (relatively), so I wouldn't say its unexpected. Great news.

That's so cool. And the best thing is that the numbers are quite respectable in this day and age and without a hit single or a visible song on the radio. the decline is not that sharp compared to Rebel Heart. Hopefully she will manage to pull off 1 million WW in the end.
With a hit single ( I don't know how she could have one at this time and age), she could have even bigger numbers, compared to the young stars.
Hopefully there would be other N1 WW.

I think her PR handled it stupidly. I think she should have been allowed to answer and answer it honestly. I still think it got something to do with the technics, she probably couldn't hear herself. He should have been more pushy and hopefully she knows she fucked up this performance.

Anyway, I'm not surprised if she's fed up with the demanding fans. Just yesterday in her Instagram some absurda called her crazy for releasing the footage clip for I Rise instead of Faz Gostoso.

Well, if she refuses to entertain the crowd, then maybe she should be prepared that her popularity would suffer. One of the reasons why she is the biggest selling female artist is the fact that she is one of the best performers and entertainers of all time, if not the best. She is not known for her political songs and they are not among her best selling singles (= people don't love her for that). Maybe after almost 40 years she feels like she don't have to pander to Europeans (at ESC) and gays (at pride), but it has its price. At present it seems like Madame X would do better in USA, than EU and I feel like its a consequence of the ESC performance. If the Pride performance alienates the gays, I don't see the point.
However, I hope its a great performance and she surprises us all.

Everyone I know likes God Control, but they are all over 30 and think its a highlight on the album.

Probably its a strategy. She will start with gloomy AL, get depressing with Future, end with a sleepy I Rise and then make a great joyous finale with impeccable Vogue. In this way - Vogue (which is the only song connected directly to the gays) would stand out more?

AL is among her worst songs and it is not surprised it bombed when it was released (and she was coming from a very successful era). I like Future, but Quavo again (was he alive on ESC) and the song did zero for the album and... Why should it be performed at all? I Rise is among my least favourites on the album. So 3/4 of the performance would be joyless, lifeless bore. Why? Whats the logic for choosing AL really??? It would not connects with the gays in any way? Why isn't GC, HU or even Rescue Me performed???

It won’t be released or have a video. The next singles are gc and batuka, which r great too so I m happy for both of those singles. I think idsif deserves to be a single though.

I dont see a link between an age and not liking a song for the clubs... Isn't I Dont Search I Find also a club song? And its a song that gets love by both critics and fans! It all depends on the song itself. And I haven't heard anyone here being bashed for liking BIL or FG, its only that a lot of ppl dont like BIL (no-one is attacking those that love it), but FG has received mainly praise. Your comments IMO are ageist as you link taste (bad according to you) to age and you obviously try to put down older according to you group for not liking certain songs. The fact that you are DJ is no ground to make agist comments or to attack members taste. We are all different and its normal to like different things and taste is not connected to age.
