I find weird that fascination with Joe Henry.
Honey, the best songs on her last albums were written with collaboration with Joe. Probably one of her greatest song is written with him: Jump! Devil was one of the best on HC and its again written with him! Falling Free??? Obviously they are at this point where they bring the best in each other! They should write more together! I mean how can you not looooooooooooooooove Jump???????????

It's one of Madonna's best songs, if not the best. Great lyrics, melody, drama production, video, new image, new era, that t-shirt, the nipple, the bombastic BAT performance...

Sexodus is an amazing track. Madonna should ve recorded it! It reminds me sonically of Masive Attack. I think Madonna could ve made it better if she worked on it more (like adding addictive chorus). Actually I wouldnt mind some trip hop songs ala Sexodus on the next Madonna album. Maybe even Massive Attack should be brought as producers/songwriters?

But was Like a Prayer really that good? I mean what was so amazing about it? Never understood the rave reviews. Yes it is a good pop record but nothing groundbreaking. Love Song is probably the most borin song Madonna has ever recorded. Live to Tell and La Isla B are better than anythin on LAP.
i also think that as an album it hardly compares to ROL or COADF, but it had bombastic songs: LAP, Express Yourself, Cherish were all absolutely amazing. I love some of the ballads: Oh Father, Spanish Eyes... Is Till Death Do Us Part a ballad? Its a great song too. But I agree Love Song? What were they thinking? They were the hottest thing and they came up with this? I guess it was like a sick joke

Please i never understood the hate for American Pie. The song the best track on Music, alongside Paradise. It just gives me chills, and yes her vocals are breathtakingly beautiful indeed, very melancholic. And let us not forget it was a huge hit everywhere and she looked extra hot in the video.
In my opinion American Pie, Time Stood Still, Be Careful (solo) and Liquid Love (demo) are some of the best tracks she has ever recorded during that period. I am a huge fan of the Music album but i wish she added those tracks to it or continued in that direction rather than going folkish. I donno personally I am huge fan of William Orbit's work, he creates magic with Madonna.
i agree 100 percent. not fan of mirwais. Orbit has always been her better match. The best songs on MDNA were the Orbit produced.

I looooooooove Amelican Pie. The voice is breathtakingly beautiful! Its a better song than most off Music album and its a much better song than the original. Anything from that session was magnificent!

. I really dislike the singles, but I really love so many of the songs: above all TBGO and Devil. Both amazing. Also the unreleased tracks are cool: who can NOT love Across The Sky? And Spanish Lesson is my jam. I love it. -
Also, wasnt Madonna a waiter in Dunkin Donuts? So I dont see how this job really differeniciates Gaga from Madge? And also if one has to have an image of someone struggling before becoming famous: that image should be Madonna who actually had to eat from trash cans, not Gaga.

All the ROL outtakes I ve heard are really amazing. Including the early version of Drowned World. In my view the best outtke is R E V E G E. No question bout it

The album with the best videos after ROL. Strangely, I listened alot to this album lately although I never thought its anywhere near her best. But Sanctuary was on repeat non stop. What a gem!!! I also love most of the album, but I really detest Dont Stop and I d Rather bE Your Lover. But Survival, LTTWM and others really make up for it.

Not my cup of tea. I felt let down after ROL. Its not bad really (she is yet to make a bad album), I have favs here, but its not ROL or COADF. Those are really her monsterous last albums. Both could be listened from start to finish withought feeling the need to press fast forward...Music has those moments and I think Music was as sucessful as it was because it followed ROL.

This has always upset me. Its like she HAS to retire. Bitch, please. Thats not a woman like any other. No one else can do what she does and be as good as her. Why should she hang it up so that we have second class versions when we can have HER?
Its tied to the ageism card. First time I read she is old, past her time, should retire was in 1992 so 22 years ago...
