  1. EXCLUSIVE: 30 Sources Expose Sexually Explicit Evidence of Harassment by Ohio GOP Rep. Wes Goodman

Disgraced Ohio state Rep. Wes Goodman — a Republican — in the wake of the lawmaker's recently revealed sex scandal and resignation is being accused by dozens of people of sexual misconduct. IJR has obtained testimonies from over 30 individuals who have had inappropriate and never-before-shared experiences with Goodman.

Goodman, who always campaigned on “family values,” recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons — he was caught on Tuesday having consensual sex with another man in his office.

Ohio State Speaker Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) was quickly notified and, in turn, asked Goodman to resign from his position — which he did. But many people have long been aware of Goodman's inappropriate sexual behavior; behavior that is very different than his married “family man” persona, IJR has learned.

Goodman has a reputation of reaching out to those involved in politics via Facebook Messenger — but things tend to quickly turn south, as he has been known to flirt with men, solicit sex, and even send pictures of his genitals, according to dozens of sources. The majority of the people he targets are between the ages of 18 and 24 and have had very little interaction with him personally.

In many instances of his alleged sexual misconduct, Goodman apparently offered to be a “mentor” for those looking to get into politics. Because of the power he had, his victims say they were afraid to report instances of abuse for fear of damaging their own political careers.

    The Screenshots

IJR interviewed over 30 people who experienced Goodman's inappropriate behavior, and their stories almost all start the same way. Goodman began his inquiries with college students as if he wanted to be a friend, asking what they wanted for their careers.

The victims were almost always political activists who simply had mutual friends with Goodman. He would then escalate the conversation, often sending several messages a day. Eventually, the conversation would move past small talk, and Goodman would start sending suggestive messages.

One source, who like the others chooses to remain anonymous, recalled the messages he received from Goodman (emphasis added):

    Quote

"I'm a straight, heterosexual male. As you probably very well know, many people send and receive friend requests from various people in the conservative movement, I remember having received a friend request from Wes Goodman and having over 150 mutual friends. In the fall of 2016, he started messaging me and talked about various political things such as our political career goals and about the different conservative movement organizations.

A couple weeks later, he asked for my Snapchat. I wasn't aware of his background in gay circles, and I'm straight myself. I thought it would be a great way to build a professional relationship with an upcoming conservative lawmaker and seemingly solid guy. However, he constantly sent me Snaps and was always commenting on my stories. He also asked how much 'pussy' I was getting and wondering what I was doing on Friday and Saturday nights. I started to think something was a little weird.

He also asked if I would be coming up to D.C. in January for March for Life. He also repeatedly invited me up to Ohio so I could job shadow him and tour the Ohio Capital. Then in November 2016, one night, he started a conversation about how his wife was asleep and he was bored. I didn't reply for about 30 min after opening the Snapchat. Then, he sent me videos of him masturbating as well as dick pics. He also sent another Snapchat asking how big my penis was. I immediately blocked him. He later [messaged] me on both Instagram and Facebook leading me to block him on both apps as well."

CABBAGE PATCH MANIA! On Thanksgiving weekend 1983, the hottest gift was a Cabbage Patch Kid, and, as you can see in this video, things were getting out of control at malls around the country. Do you remember the Cabbage Patch craze?

During an airing of the movie on the morning of January 7, 2007, AMC claimed the creator modeled the doll (Chucky) after the Cabbage Patch Kids. This was confirmed by an interview with the creator, Don Mancini, which was featured on the Seed of Chucky DVD.

  4. GOP congressman repeatedly pushed antiabortion view days after reportedly urging mistress to get abortion

    By Aaron Blake
    October 3

Hypocrisy, thy name is Rep. Tim Murphy.

We already knew that the Pennsylvania Republican had engaged in an extramarital affair, after it came out in his mistress's divorce records. But things got much worse for Murphy on Tuesday: The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that text messages indicate he told his mistress to get an abortion when they had a pregnancy scare.

That's especially problematic because Murphy is supposed to be an antiabortion congressman. He's got nearly a flawless voting record, as far as groups like the Family Research Council are concerned. And in fact, it was his promotion of that position that led to the fateful exchange with his mistress, Shannon Edwards.

Here's how the Post-Gazette recounts the text messages:

    Quote

A text message sent in January to U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy by a woman with whom he had an extramarital relationship took him to task for an antiabortion statement posted on Facebook from his office's public account.

“And you have zero issue posting your pro-life stance all over the place when you had no issue asking me to abort our unborn child just last week when we thought that was one of the options,” Shannon Edwards, a forensic psychologist in Pittsburgh with whom the congressman admitted last month to having a relationship, wrote to Mr. Murphy on Jan. 25, in the midst of an unfounded pregnancy scare.

A text from Mr. Murphy’s cellphone number that same day in response says, “I get what you say about my March for life messages. I've never written them. Staff does them. I read them and winced. I told staff don't write any more. I will.”

That's brutal. But in fact, that wasn't the only time Murphy's antiabortion views were promoted that week — just days after he apparently told someone close to him to get an abortion.

There was this statement from Jan. 24 announcing Murphy's happiness that the House had passed the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act.

“I am so proud the House passed this important bill to clearly stand for the dignity and value of all human life, both the born and the unborn,” Murphy said. “Passage of H.R. 7 in the wake of the President’s executive action yesterday gives me great hope that moving forward, we will once again be a nation committed to honoring life from the moment of conception onward and ensuring American taxpayer dollars are never spent to end a life before it even begins.”

And just two days after their text-message exchange — after telling Edwards that he would craft his own messages on abortion — Murphy's office was again playing up his antiabortion bona fides in an e-newsletter.

Here's what the Jan. 27 edition said:

    Quote

“We must, once again, become a nation respectful of all life. We must encourage and prioritize adoption and offer compassion and prayer for mothers and fathers who struggle with the questions of life,” said Murphy.

One of the first acts of newly-elected President Donald J. Trump was to reinstate long-standing policy to prevent U.S. taxpayers paying for abortions through foreign aid. The next day, the House of Representatives took up and passed H.R. 7 to permanently prohibit the use of federal funds to pay for abortions, as well as to prohibit federal medical facilities and health professionals from providing abortion services.

“I proudly sponsored and voted for this important bill to clearly stand for the dignity and value of all human life, both the born and the unborn,” said Murphy. “Passage of H.R. 7 in the wake of the President’s executive action gives me great hope we will once again be a nation committed to honoring life and ensuring American taxpayer dollars are never spent to end a life before it even begins.”

Since then, Murphy's office hasn't sent a tweet or a news release mentioning abortion — even though the House is taking up a 20-week abortion ban . . . today.

If there's any consolation for Murphy, it's that he wouldn't be the only House Republican to be pro-choice for himself and pro-life for everyone else. Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-Tenn.) remains in Congress four years after it was revealed that he had asked both his ex-wife and reportedly a mistress to obtain abortions.

  5. Anti-gay married Republican resigns after being caught having gay sex in his office

A married Republican lawmaker with a long history of campaigning against LGBT rights has resigned after being caught having gay sex in his office.

Wes Goodman, a congressman from Ohio, has trumpeted his support for “a committed natural marriage,” which he defined as a heterosexual union – of course.

On his now-defunct campaign website, the 33-year-old wrote about “healthy, vibrant, thriving, values-driven families” being “the key to Ohio’s future greatness.

    wes-goodman-facebook-650x650.jpg

“The ideals of a loving father and mother, a committed natural marriage…are well worth pursuing and protecting,” he added.

Goodman, who is also anti-abortion and pro-guns :manson:  – as a member of the Buckeye Firearms Association and National Rifle Association – has admitted he had consensual sex with a man in his Ohio office.

Three weeks ago, Goodman posted a picture on his now-locked Instagram account of himself by a sign for Focus on the Family, a listed anti-LGBT hate group.

The group has a history of extreme comments, with its leader James Dobson claiming the 2012 massacre of innocent children at Sandy Hook Elementary School was “God’s judgment” for the acceptance of gay marriage.

It has also claimed that the “primary goal” of the gay rights movement is to legalise paedophilia, that homosexuality is a curable mental condition and that public schools are being used to groom children “barely out of babyhood” into gay lifestyles.

In his caption, Goodman wrote that he was at “the Statesmen Academy of the Family Policy Foundation at Focus on the Family.

“Great times with legislators and policy professionals from around the country for a week of trainings and fellowship. @focusonthefamily,” he added.

On its website, the Family Policy Foundation states that it intends to create “stronger pro-family candidates”.

Goodman, who defined himself on Twitter as “Christian. American. Conservative. Republican” before he locked his account, has apologised for his actions.

“We all bring our own struggles and our own trials into public life,” he said.

“That has been true for me, and I sincerely regret that my actions and choices have kept me from serving my constituents and our state in a way that reflects the best ideals of public service.

“For those whom I have let down, I’m sorry,” he continued.

“As I move onto the next chapter of my life, I sincerely ask for privacy for myself, my family, and my friends.”

House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger said Goodman’s sexual encounter constituted “inappropriate behaviour”.

“I met with him later in the day where he acknowledged and confirmed the allegations,” he added.

“It became clear that his resignation was the most appropriate course of action for him, his family, the constituents of the 87th House District and this institution.”

He said: 'I have the surgery booked to give me a smaller waist in order, so my blazers will fit me properly.'

Explaining his decision will move him one step closer to his body goal, he went on: 'God made us perfectly with spare parts in case we need them, and the floating ribs only make me look square.

'I would like to achieve a classic figure while wearing my suits, and the only way to achieve that is to remove my ribs.'

  8. Elizabeth Warren Fires Back After Racist Attack from Trump: ‘Tweets Won’t Keep Your People Out of Jail’

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) fired back on Friday morning after Trump called her “Pocahontas”  in a tweetstorm that Warren said was intended to distract from the real story.

Tweeted Warren: “I understand your desperation to change the subject, @realDonaldTrump. Your campaign mgr was just indicted for conspiracy against the US…You might think your tweets are cute, @realDonaldTrump, but they won’t stop Mueller’s investigation or keep your people out of jail…The DNC shouldn’t play favorites. But that’s a whole lot different from illegally conspiring with Russia. The FBI knows the difference…Slurs, lies & trash talk won’t stop the FBI from doing its job. This isn’t a dictatorship. It’s our democracy. And it’s stronger than you.”

  9. Police in Egypt are using Grindr to lure gay men to hotel rooms and arrest them

    12:21 30th October 2017 by Daniel Megarry

The situation for LGBT+ people in Egypt is getting worse.

A gender researcher with the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights has claimed that Egyptian police are using dating apps like Grindr to lure gay men into hotel rooms with the intention of arresting them.

Dalia Abdel-Hameed told "The Age" newspaper that she unearthed dozens of police reports which outline a "cultivation" technique, where suspected gay men are seduced via dating apps.

"It’s related to the fact that men are using apps more than women and an obsession of who is being penetrated," she said. "There is this penetration mania in Egypt due to religious reasons, mostly."

The violent ‘crackdown’ on gay men began last month following a Mashrou’ Leila concert in Cairo, where some members of the crowd "waved rainbow flags".

Over 57 people have been arrested since the incident on charges of debauchery and sexual deviancy laws. Many of these have reportedly been lured through dating apps like Grindr.

While homosexuality isn’t illegal in Egypt, societal views towards those in the LGBT+ community are increasingly hostile, and the vagueness of the term ‘debauchery’ has allowed authorities to arrest gay men.

What’s more, authorities in Egypt don’t deny the fact they are specifically targeting LGBT+ people, with state media and the religious establishment claiming that it’s a public duty to tackle the spread of homosexuality.

"People are living in fear and persecution," Abdel-Hameed continued. "This is really the biggest crackdown we’ve witnessed… we have seen this pattern before but it is far more vicious this time."

Last week, a bill was proposed by MP Riyad Abdel Sattar that would make homosexuality illegal in Egypt if passed.

"Any person engaging in homosexuality in a public or private place should be subjected to punitive action that should be no less than one year and not exceeding three years in jail," a draft of the proposed bill states.

HRC Global Director Ty Cobb has branded the measure "one of the most dangerous anti-LGBTQ proposals we have seen in recent memory."

In an effort to combat this crackdown on LGBT+ people, gay dating apps Grindr and Hornet are issuing safety warnings and tips in Arabic to users in the region who are at risk of being targeted by authorities.

Tips that Grindr are issuing include letting close ones know where you are going before you meet someone, double checking if you have mutual friends with the other user, and attempting to meet in a virtual space so you can be certain that you are talking to another LGBT+ person and not an undercover official.

On one hand, he acted so courageous & patriotic and he loves Catalonia so much and willing to die for Catalonia and yet on the other hand, he had already made all the arrangement i.e. transferred all his family members + $$$$ out of Spain before announcing the "Independence".

Once the announcement is made, he fled Spain quicker than the ray of light and leaving his supporters on their own.
