I attended the Madame X concert in Philadelphia on December 7, 2019.  I felt so privileged to be in the same room as the creative person who paved the way for artists who followed, the person who is credited by so many artists as an inspiration and an influence.  To me, seeing Madonna in concert was not transactional.  It was not about paying money for a seat and expecting a show in return.  It was totally about the good fortune to be in the room with the icon, queen, and legend that is Madonna.  I attend concerts of many pop artists, and am still overwhelmed by the experience of seeing Madame X.
