  1. The part at the beginning of vogue where she whips her leg onto the hand rail is everything! And there are certain parts where I was curiously reminded of keep it together performance on blond ambition. Is it the outfit, or the way she stood or talked? I don’t know, but it was glorious.
  2. Is god control video not available on iTunes for purchase?
  3. If she had just put out a straight narrative where she went to a club and was caught in the midst of a massacre, that would have already made a powerful video (and probably all most of us would have expected). But then she goes ahead and tells the story backwards and frames it with dark haired Madonna, it’s just genius. This is the reason she is peerless.
  4. Not a mistake, because she got me to buy all three (the two plus the one with the extra 3 songs).
  5. I know what I am, and I know what I am not.
  6. Who is scrolling thru to find an exact match as your own?
  7. God control killers who are partying crave I don’t search I find crazy
  8. Thank you for link. She is just lovely (in an intimidating way - haha).
  9. This is the most surprising track for me cuz it’s my immediate favorite. It’s exquisite. And I love the lyrics. I know what I am, and I know what I am not. Those lines inexplicably hit me on the spot.
  10. Slant review mentions that Killers lyrics could be in part inspired by the poem First They Came. Madame X is a teacher indeed. First they came for the CommunistsAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not a CommunistThen they came for the SocialistsAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not a SocialistThen they came for the trade unionistsAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not a trade unionistThen they came for the JewsAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not a JewThen they came for meAnd there was no one leftTo speak out for me
  11. Thank you. That’s really beautiful work.
  12. Did I miss this - who is the director? It’s pure art!
  13. Only Madonna would make what is being dubbed as her strangest or weirdest album over 35 years into her career! I hope it’s true. Most successful artists find a lane and stay there. Not our girl. So excited!
  14. Madonna has never given us a bad album. She has only made bad songs. Her albums, even the worst of them, are never disposable. And when she is on, nobody can touch her. She is infinitely more interesting than every other wannabe because she by nature is both the prom queen in the spotlight and the punk kid on the fringe. That duality just bleeds through her collective work.
