  1. This interview should be interesting as all the guests including the performer (Sheryl Crow) will be all sat on the sofa at the same time!

i don’t remember this happening outside USA before where M doesn’t get a full show to herself - hope it isn’t a sign of her importance/power dwindling...on the other hand she did do the uk lottery show once & she came back magnificent in that era!

It seems DB is just a statement and buzz release like I Rise and not intended to be a chartworthy single. GC is going to be released one week before the album and could be the big pop single many fans are waiting for. #pray

Not sure how GC can be released 1 week before the album when D.B. is bieng released 1 week before the album...there doesn’t seem to be time to release a single with video before the album drops now...

correct me if I am wrong pls

I think you underestimate Taylor's fan base.  Whether you like or her not, she does have a broad base of fans that are well into their adult years. I'm from France and she's is well know here by a lot of adults. She did up her game with her RED album and since then she's become quite global.  Certainly, I agree much of her fan base is made up of those who are younger, so she has that advantage when it comes to streaming, etc.  The real question here is if she will last nearly 40 years in the music business as Madonna has.  Madonna may not have the same pull and push she used to, but she still has enough clout and fans to help her always maintain some mainstream exposure.  People are still fascinated with Madonna, whether they hate her or love her.  She's quite polarizing and that's been a key to some of her staying power.

No she won’t last 40 years like M! I only heard her new song this week and can safely say that at 60 years old Madonna can still produce a better/superior 1st Single (Medellin) than Taylor (Hey!)

  4. First day back at work today and asked the girls in my team if they watched her Eurovision performance, they said they hadn’t so they all watched it on the computers...my team is fairly left wing &...

they loved it! They were not aware of the new album so we’re confused about the eye patch and new song so I told them about it and I saw them all get on their phones to Read more about the album...

then I made them all watch Medellin video (which they also hadn’t heard of/seen) - they loved it, especially maluma!

so how does M get her music into public consciousness without radio play or some sort of advertising deal on television?

I already tuned out the social media stuff but the fact it's still coming through other channels indicates how big it is. Not to mention the first ever incidence of my personal circle being (respectfully) critical.

    Lovely post Jazzy ❤️

Anyway, a poster earlier who appears to be in the know indicated there are big things afoot for UK promo so we can look forward to that!

Good she needs to hit the promo campaign in Europe in june to mitigate the fallout from the performance (vocal/dancing side only I don’t care if she gets too political)

  6. Watched it for the 1st time again since it was on live yesterday & now I can be more detached & thoughtful on my view:

yes there was an issue with the mixing/voice levels on LAP but it was the arrangement of the song which highlighted this issue as it was a total bore (imagine if she used the original album arrangement-the music would have helped to hide the voice issues because she was never out of the melody)

Dark Ballet spoken word was a masterpiece in theatre/pop performance- the video backdrop along with her words & dancers was genius.

Future was a perfect straight after D.B. & fitted HER theme! The song itself is a great little bop and was very anthemic on that Eurovision stage!

YES - no fucks given I'm going to call you fuckers out Queen! And to those who say she is afraid to dance -

I think she is not interested in doing a synchro-dance/hairflip/robotney. She always dances, always. The movement with the monks down the stage is a dance. The movement down the stairs during DB was a dance. All of Future was a dance. She's literally always dancing.

I actually also think it's amazing she gives other artists like Quavo the PLATFORM with her to stand on their own and have a voice. She just gifted him exposure to 200 million people...most unaware of him.

    She's a true artist.

This also is a very truthful point of view aswell!

  8. Interview was amazing

LAP voice was good (performed with no backing vocals!)

    Future sounded great!

    set/stage/Theme - Amazing!

choreography- so this is my biggest issue: it was static. I thought she was restricted at first during LAP as she had the big cloak over all the armour & also thought she is saving her energy for some fun choreographed dance my bits in future...but then Future was static!

Quavo is a lame performer with no stage presence-M even had to nudge him to point his arm towards the roof at one point!

She did with Rebel Heart she did lots of TV spots across Europe and some in America.

I can't imagine she wont appear in any TV shows this era.

Since Ray Of Light (bar MdNA) she has always done the TV rounds...
