  1. I agree with others that it does feel a bit sad that album and singles didn't give us at least one hit song and that it has put a damper on the era but I don't think that's what Madonna was after anyway. If she was she could have made a much more commercial album, at this stage in her career she's clearly much more interested in experimenting and being artistic.

The Pride performance was good but could've been more celebratory and colourful imo, same with the Esc performance but again that's not what M is about right now and that's why we love her. She does it her way.

Sadly I couldn't afford tickets to this tour so I'm hoping for a greatest hits tour in the future when M is ready for it.

  2. Personally I love the album, videos and interviews we got. The promo performances could've been better imo but I believe that the tour will really make the new songs come alive😉

There's not much to talk about right now.

M is rehearsing, there's no big controversy or gossip about her in the media to discuss right now.

Once the tour starts there will plenty to talk about.

  3. I really like Batuka. It's warm and interesting sounding. What I do wonder about is with "call and response" that Madonna does in the song. To me it sounds like Madonna calls and Madonnas voice also responds, rather then Madonna calls and the choir responds. It makes me feel like she didn't use the choir as much as she could've. What are your thoughts?

  4. God Control is a great song but it's not single material. I love that she released it though. As has been said a million times here: for Madonnas team it's not about hit singles anymore, it's about album sales and ticket sales. Madonna does what she wants this time around. She wants to focus on the messages and artistic value. Reading the Mojo interview makes it clear that she is not interested in chasing pophits. She clearly didn't enjoy making the last three albums, with this album however her inspiration and energy is back. Thank you universe!

Again , I thought she was funny on it . Did notice some beef between Ian and her so maybe some sneaky shade in the past or something . Thought she was overall much better than last appearance circa mdna . Twitter is full of keyboard warriors . What are they moaning about , Eurovision again . They’re still pissed off that uk get zero points at that every year .

    This!😁👍

Basically apparently they worked or met before and she did not remember it. Later on when they talked about Ian mc Kellen’s recent Bday party, she asked why she wasn’t invited and he responded ‘because you don’t remember working with me’. Now people are going ape shit because she was rude to him.

She wasn't rude, it was all banter. People don't have any sense of humour online especially not on shitty Twitter. I think she was funny, made fun of herself and joked a lot. Who cares about people's opinions, Madonna couldn't care less so why should we.

Omg she kissed Sheryl crow and said I haven't seen you in ages and then how they were last at an airport talking about Sheryl's ex boyfriend!

    Sheryl is redeemed!

And she just said she might do Vogue at pride!

I would say that it got a little bit frosty between M and Sheryl at the end. Sheryl said something a bit shady related to her having small kids but Madonna won in the end announcing her Pride performance. Don't like Sheryl😒

I'm interested to see how Sheryl interacts with her due to those derogatory comments a while back (although Madonna probably wasn't aware of them)...

This! Sheryl has been shady as hell about Madonna in recent years so it will be interesting to see them together. Ian Mckellan is always lovely and uplifting on the show and I'm sure he'll get on really well with M.

Nearly 7 million people watched it last year in the UK. There ain't that many gays here.

I really like Azerbaijan, Norway was peak Eurovision, San Marino was fun. I even liked the Slovenian song but the couple were a bit creepy.

And so long as M stays standing up, it's a win!

San Marino is super fun I have to agree🤗 An old queen with two twink dancers in shorts, can't get anymore camp then that😁

Well if there's 7 million people watching then that amazing, I do believe Madonnas performance will bring in even more viewers this year so that's great for everyone.

I don't agree with the 'too European' for the British. It gets good ratings and is on BBC 1. If it were niche TV it would be tucked away on BBC 2 or 4.

And also there are always some great songs on there. However, this year is quite weak all round.

Shame Kelly didn't win for Britain but I remember on the night, her sound didn't seem great so the song fell a bit flat even though it sounds great on the radio. So we've entered a Westlife reject. Nil pointes!

I live in London and I don't know any English people who watch it a part from gays but ok.

Yes Kelly would've been so much more fun instead they're sending another boring Xfactor ballad.

My favorites tonight a part from Queen M are Sweden, Greece and Cyprus who actually feels a bit Madonna imo😊

Yes, it's a pity the album wasn't out this week. I wouldn't be surprised if LAP the song gets a huge boost (even more than Future in fact)

Doesn't help that the UK routinely sends absolute SHIT to it. I've already see the predictions of coming dead last (again).

Eurovision is super camp, gay, glittery over the top entertainment🤩 If you're expecting amazing singers and serious music then you're a bit off the mark. Too European for big part of the British(brexit..hrm) people maybe but the rest of us will have a gay ole time 🤗🌟🥂

  12. I really like Future on the first listen. Summery, simple and sticks to your brain like glue. I like the message as well. We live in time where a big part of the world seem to want to go back in time instead of moving towards the future. Trump, Brexit, Abortion laws, right wing populism... Bravo Madonna for mixing pop and politics yet again! No other female pop star would ever dare to be as politicial as her.

Nope. The competing entries must be sung fully live, including backing vocals, though the backing vocalists are not required to be on screen.

Interesting, I didn't know that. I hope Madonna goes for this rule as well then. She sounded amazing at the Met imo😊

I personally believe she’ll do a Super Bowl where her mic is on, certain things are mimed and other things are live.

I think she’ll do LAP and Dark Ballet live and then Future mostly lipped!

I never knew that mic actually was on at the Super bowl. Which parts were live? Everyone has a bit of backing track at Eurovision

  15. Wow! Watching Eurovision the semifinal nr1 now and that stage and background screen is absolutley amazing! Madonnas performance will be fantastic in that arena. I'm hoping for a fun, uplifting, dance heavy Future and then a classic Like a prayer to bring the house down😊

The leotard comment is everything. 😝🙌🏼

I love everything Madonna is doing right now. It’s so natural and generous, and she is totally bringing the “high art” grande dame dynamic I have been wishing for for a decade! But that also comes at a cost to her commercial viability imho.

Madonna’s narrative heavily incorporates the ageism issue now, and there is indeed a great deal of truth to the phenomenon. It is a reality that 60 year-olds don’t generally resonate with the much younger pop demographic.

However, at the risk of incurring some wrath, I honestly think Madonna is simply not that popular anymore, particularly in America and the UK, because she is so associated with a cartoonish composite image of the negative end of the polarizing public dialog. She is being punished, but more because she is defined by an almost tabloidesque version of her accomplishments, rather than by her artistic legacy. I hear so many people immediately dismiss her music history in this age of totally bombastic revisionism that I have stopped caring what anyone else thinks.

I love Madonna. I feel so incredibly lucky to have lived her entire career firsthand as it happened, and the fact that she is giving me even more authentic Madonna vibes at this point than I could ever have imagined is just AMAZING!

Well said!✊ I'm loving this era so far. Madonna feels genuine, excited and creative this time around. You can tell that she is happier with her private life than she's been in a long time. Can't wait to see everything that's coming up😊

Why are you looking at the half empty glass, than the half full glass? Look a the amazing work the team is doing so far (song out for only 3 and 1/2 days). And the song is already added to the big playlists on Friday!!! Give it a week for God sake... She is introducing a new sound... every artist changing sounds goes through this... M is not Ari, Adele or Beyoncé (I love all three) always sounding the same... she is a chameleon/always changing sounds/music styles, so a new audience needs to be found for every era. Get it.  Enjoy the ride... 💖

    Well said!🤗💃🔥
