Even if the album is amazing and well received, not sure if Madonna can compete with these younger artists who are more media friendly.

At the same time, maybe this will be the major comeback she deserves. I really hope so!!

You're right she never went away! It's just that I would be happy for Madonna if her music was well accepted by the masses again.

No matter what, will never stop being a major fan. Good music is good music.

    Forbes article: https://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2019/01/16/most-anticipated-pop-albums-of-2019-lady-gaga-ariana-grande-madonna-and-halsey/#663a40b83e0d

So apparently her competition will be Lady Gaga (ugh), Lana Del Rey, Halsey and Ariana Grande for the most part. I can't see Carly Rae Jepsen (as much as I love her) or Meghan Trainor (as much as I loathe her) giving her any trouble chart or sales wise.

I do wonder whether the postponement of the album has something to do with the potential competition and, as much as I hate to admit it, the label wanting to avoid a G*g*/Madonna clash. The awful copycat creature has a gap of about 3 months from Feb/May in her Vegas residency - could just be a gap for her Oscars bullshit but may be she'll 'drop' some new release. I can't think of that Ugh. Then again, G*g*'s Star Is Born bullshit is doing very well and I doubt they'd want to undercut that by a new release too soon.

I’m still frustrated with what I’m reading on here. What is the big deal if Madonna performs in Israel? Some of you fail to see the connection there, are you guys serious? Madonna has visited Israel a lot in the past, for professional as well as spiritual reasons! She is a Kabbalist after all. Have some of you forgotten? Wtf??

I want her to perform in Israel for sure

All of those posts about Madonna milestones on FB and IG and now the Dolls on IG.

This makes me think that as well as the new album there might be some kind of retrospective later in the year.

It could be that Documentary that's been rumoured or maybe something bigger and more interactive with the fans.

Like the "David Bowie Is" moving exhibition... something "out of the box"

imagine all the outfits, music video props etc

It would be amazing if one day down the line we get something similar to Bowie's exhibition. There is so much rich history!

They say that it's a fusion between pop. african music and portuguese music. Seriously, it must ee sooo awsome.

    Also that Batuka is spectacular.

Also says that they have a new art director and that Mert and marcus nor klein are confirmed. A new team was hired for the visual concept of the album.

Only thing confirmed on her agenda is the oscar party.

    New tour being planned.

Sorry if all of this has been posted before.

Really looking forward to hearing new music!

The African and Portuguese influence sounds interesting!

I think the EU should rather respect the different rhythms of its members. I doubt the top to bottom approach is going to have positive effects, it can create a backlash. There are many issues involved for countries who have been subjected to foreign powers in the past, that are wary of a foreign power imposing rules from the outside.

I do mostly agree with you. I think history tells us this.

Anyway, it sucks this happen there....

In my opinion, Madonna is one of the few that just does whatever she feel like and that's a good thing, even if we don't like the direction she's going in. I would never want to be pandered to.

Strongly agree that Madonna should never pander to the fan base. It makes her more interesting and exciting to do what she’s inspired by at the moment.

We’re not going to like some of her creative output and that’s ok to me. I will complain though.🤣

I think you can get it in the UK but have to pay for it if you're male or a female over a certain age. I think there's uncertainty if it actually works as well on men.

Great news though! Anti valentine's are scary. My friend's not got their baby vaccinated against measles. 🙃

I previously tried to find out about the HPV vaccine for adults but I read in a few sites that I’m way past the age limit. I would pay for it if would offer protection. I’ve always been paranoid about contracting genital warts or herpes since I’ve known people personally who had outbreaks of these stds. From my understanding, many folks carry them without having any symptoms or outbreaks anyway.
