It's very far from being one of her best songs, but it's still a quality pop song that's better than the majority of pop songs released since the beginning of the year.

Woman are judged differently from men. This is NOT a male bashing comment either as some women judge other women harshly too and many men support women fully. Society though as seen by all genders, age groups and nationalities - it is still different rules for women. Just watch tv shows when older women are featured. So many shows ridicule women's age and always promote the idea that young women ( under the age of 30 ) are superior. Just listen to the dialogue. It is staggering. Look at many presenter jobs on tv. Experienced males are usually hired on news shows and speak with wisdom and intelligence for the topic. Women though - they usually have to be young, very attractive and don't often give opinions. This has only changed recently and not by all networks. Some still have mature men who should be hired as they have knowledge and experience while the women they hire are young and don't say much. ( Sky news and sports programmes for example )
Also age differences. Australian supermodel Megan Gale has been criticised greatly for having a boyfriend 12 years her junior. She commented that it was a major issue in every single article written about her and brought up continually with many saying their relationship was wrong. She then pointed out that in every single article she had read about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - nobody ever brought up their 12 year age difference as a problem. In fact, it was never even mentioned.
Even the talk of "poor Madonna" having to juggle motherhood with career and criticising her for touring etc, Well, nobody says anything about male stars touring when they have children. It is all very ingrained in the way many people look at things. Madonna is incredible. Breaking down all of those barriers completely and never playing a victim. She is an amazing role model for everyone in life - male and female.
Love that this article brought up these things so well.

In addition to her eternal fight against sexism in the cultural industry, I have the greatest admiration for her perpetual fight against ageism. An ageism imposed by our society, but also, unfortunately by the people themselves. I will never understand why people lock themselves into tiny boxes as they age, retreating into conservatism and refusing any novelty. The body ages, but the mind does not lose its desire to discover and be curious. This way that people have to stop being interested in everything that has been produced by the generations who follow them under the lid of the cliché: "It was so much better in our time!" No, it was not, it was only a different time. Unless it requires a particular physical form that only youth provides, we are never too old to do anything. The day you start dictating your actions according to the opinion of the people, it is the day when your true decay begins.

Damn, we live in a time when people are so basic and literal.
I can't believe that this background story is analyzed relentlessly. Absolutely everyone reinterprets his past story through the eyes of who he is now. The memory does not become false. It is only modified by the brain that fills the blanks and by narrative shortcuts which allow to reach the points of this memory.

If you have a Premium subscription, you can block an artist who will no longer play in the different playlists in which it is added. That's how I got rid of Gargoyle who was forced into all the playlists imaginable last winter.

Sorry, but I did not get stuck in 1989. I'm interested in all kinds of musical styles and no matter the language. It's sad to see that an artist who has always privileged curiosity and cultural blending can have some "fans" as one-dimensional.

The song no longer works that way because, for once, this song is a real collaboration and not a featuring added at the last minute to a song already written. Maluma is an essential part of the song and contributes to its charm.

I hope that the 3 songs of the limited deluxe edition will be available digitally a few months after the release as were those of the super deluxe edition of Rebel Heart. Since I have already bought the deluxe digital edition, I do not want to buy the limited deluxe edition only for these 3 songs while I no longer use physical format to listen music.

I love it. It's so fucking catchy. this is the kind of song that leaves a mixed impression at first listen and that takes all its strength after 3 listens. In a non-ageist world, this song would be a big hit.

It was built in 1163. Has witnessed and survived the French Revolution, Two world wars and is steeped in world history. Buildings are part of the world's history. There is so much today that people just don't bother about - too interested in their mobile phones, reality tv shows and know nothing of history. We need historic buildings, churches, structures etc with a rich long past to remind us of our history. They are incredibly important and mean so much to people.

Yes, I remember that story. I was so proud of the manager for saying no and holding his position that I would have given him a award for the service he had just rendered to humanity. These privileged parasites must stop be treated by all as if they were important. An influencer disappears 48 hours and is already forgotten and replaced by another.
Like many things born with the social media, influencers exist only because the companies think they will recover with them the sale of products that have disappeared as a result of the decline of traditional advertising mediums.The problem is that these companies completely overestimate the real influence of influencers who do not exceed some of the sheeps who follow them.

It's so sad to see another country where the far-right enters parliament again. Especially in a country that has known the horrific consequences of the extreme far right for so many decades.
