    MX follows the natural way of the last albums: since they are not commercial successes, their artistic qualities vanish so brutally for certain fans who are still hooked to the past. That said, it was obvious that this album would have a divided reception despite its very high quality. In general, the public does not want to think and enjoy a culture of emptiness that does not challenge them. MX is a politicized album that demands an effort from the listener. It was obvious that this would put off many people.

    I follow Powerfit and Bootcamp classes (so classes where you sweat your life) on my lunch breaks. In my classes, there is the perfect little young gay of 25 y.o. : beautiful, perfectly dressed, athletic, aware that he catches the eye. One in two classes, he does not take a shower after class and goes back to work (we work in the same building, so I know he's going back at his office). Disgusting. :noway:Seriously, I would never not take a shower after the gym, even if it was only a yoga class. NEVER.

    To read some of you, we might think that you are doing album listening sessions in your living room where you ask your friends to fill out an evaluation grid so that you can make generalizations based on no fact. :rotfl:Your friends don't like Batuka?     it is clearly determined that this song will be the one that will serve to feed for the next decade the fantasy world of those unable to accept that the era of charts success is over. Even though this song has had the most streaming due to Anitta fans in Brazil, it does not make it a success even If it had become an official single with video. Anitta's first international album released in April did not generate any interest outside her home country. Each new album for 10 years, some people cling to the idea that a different song would have generated a success.

    Considering the appalling problems of poverty, crime, addiction and violence experienced by too many Canadian's  First Nations and Native American communities in the most complete indifference of the rest of the population, I strongly doubt that taking offense to the term Native Indians in a too rare song mentioning them is in the first actions to take to help them. Just sayin'

    Equally as terrifying is the effect on validating the extreme fringe, not just in the US but the world over too. These folks who think they know the actual 'truth', what is 'real news' vs 'fake news', what is or isn't free speech, etc....... people so deep down the rabbit hole of conspiracy and insanity it's literally terrifying. There is no reasoning with these people. Sometimes I slip into a masochistic moment and look at the twitter feed of one of his followers, and it just blows my mind how insane these people are. And even if he was gone, they're still going to go for what he represents. I think we're at a point where there is a certain amount of people that truly want to live under fascism. Full on fascism. 

    I know and it's the most terrifying. In three years, he has helped legitimize the voice of all those crazy people who have united by social media over the last decade. The legitimization of their speeches now infects the slice of normal but influenceable people in society. And the worst is that this model of stupidity now acceptable is quickly transposed from one country to another through Steve Bannon who will advise extreme right-wing parties throughout Europe . The global balance is very small. When you give matches to a stupid arsonist, it can ignite the planet. In Batuka, Madonna probably wrote the most significant lines of her career: 

    I was up all night
    I said a little prayer
    Get that old man
    Put him in a jail
    Where he can't stop us 
    Where he can't hurt us

    Even if the process has no chance of success because of the Congress, the Democrats should have already begun the impeachment process to send the message to the public that the crimes the Trump administration are accused of are reals. Their inertia gives the impression that everything he has been accused of for 3 years is false and thus reinforces his manipulation.
