Well done Germany !  Shocked at Angela Merkel voting against it though.

What do you all think, that she is some kind of saint or something? Now and then she shows her true colors. I still don't like her. Kudos though for pushing the Gay Marriage vote and for welcoming refugees back in 2015.

    They can.  But they won't.

About the caddlin.... No building can burn like that because of a fridge with legal materials.  It's impossible.  Small fires happen in tall buildings every day in the world.

    They are lying.

Yes that's suspicious. The fire in that kitchen and flat must have been intense to inflame the cladding of the building. How fast did it spread? When got it noticed? I seriously don't understand what happened there.

just now?...you mean, with as much pervert shyt going on in clubs etc, they haven't ruled same sex marriage as of yet?

    Das shitten!

We already have the Lebenspartnerschaft with almost all benefits you get from being married. But one big difference is you're not allowed to adopt children. I don't know if this changes wgen we get the same sex marriage.

  4. ^ yes, thank you @BrendanT1993 I don't understand the outrage for a three figured death toll at the moment. What happened is horrible and we know by how the building burned there must be many many dead.

I'm much more confused about the fact that a kitchen fire couldn't be controlled and extinguished. I read it started on the third floor. When did the firefighters arrive? Where they so late? I just don't get why they couldn't controll it? Third floor is not so far up...

  5. I read so much stuff about it, what a nightmare! I still can't believe this really happened and innocent people's lives ended that way. In this day and age.

The only thing I can take from this is to always leave the building if there's a way, no matter how far or 'under control' a fire is. If you can get out, get out. To think they told people to stay in their flats...

  6. What a whiny old brat. Imagine any other country's leader tweet something like that...This is priceless. I'm not asking what America did to deserve this punishment of the Gods, cause it's pretty self explanatory. But I think we get the point now, it's enough, Americans should find a way to end this charade.

^^^ What an ass. The whole thing was awkward from the get go. And his speech? Spend more money for NATO, bla, blah, blah. It's all about terrorists and refugees, blah, blah, blah. You have to respect all the other leaders for not rolling their eyes. I'm sure they think of him as an idiot. Angela Merkel can't even hide it. What a difference when she was on a stage together with Obama just hours ago in front of tens of thousands of people in Berlin. I wonder what will happen when Trump comes? It's so funny, when there is the G20 summit in Hamburg in July he has to stay in Berlin because Hamburg hotels refused to accept his reservation. :chuckle:

The speech was hilariously embarrassing. You could see how everyone had to pull it together. I loved how the commentator on ARD said he is considered a disgrace in Brussels, especially an intellectual disgrace... :lmao:

He's poking around for a war. North Korea would be the. worst option. If he's truly aiming to start popping missles off into the Korean Peninsula, he's even crazier than I ever imagined. The ramifications will be unbearable.

But he's an alpha male. And it's pretty likely to happen. I still say Syria is on the table too.

Yes, plus he's such an egomaniac that at age 70 he might as well think 'what the hell'... apres nous le deluge.

Isn't anyone wondering how strategic these terror attacks seem to be? They happen just in time for the elections in which some politicians can actually benefit from them. Yes when we think of it only people gain anything from these attacks are politicians with their hunger for power.

Be Wise As Serpents And Harmless As Doves.

Yes, of course. It's the first thought that comes to mind, sadly. But I always try to stay away from spreading conspiracy stuff, cause it's a slippery slope into tinfoil hat nazi territory.

At least the AFD is going through some rough times at the moment in Germany so maybe there's still hope it doesn't spread, even if Le Pen wins.

The gays who vote for extreme right-wing parties are like those young women who are saying that they are against feminism. They are people who were born previleged in a country where their rights have been won by the sacrifice and work of previous generations . What they do not understand is that these rights are recent and that the weight of history can reverse the whole thing very quickly.

But JazzyJan, do not forget, you're better off ceasing to get carried away on the subject otherwise you're going to be accused of being a SJW.

    This.

And it's not really a secret that back in the days many of the Nazi Elite was probably gay, yet they put Gays in KZs. I know the comparison is problematic but still...

    Happy Easter

I see all my American friends posting pictures of rabbits and colored eggs. They're the fucking worst. Imagine if this happened to them for 1 day. For 1 hour.

So true. This is a disaster. And yes, I haven't heard of this so far. It's a nightmare and i don't even know how to comment on such 'news' anymore. I mean I'm here with my parents to look at their new apartment and we rave about the terrace and the view and complain about the weather, and somewhere else this happens and it's really just so utterly unfair and sick, it just leaves me speechless and hopeless...
