  1. Thanks, I think I am just going to stick with what I have. I was in the equivalent section for MDNA (on the other side of the arena) and had a great view. The only thing is you don't really have a straight on view of the stage. Anyhow, to answer you're question I was looking at row 21 as there seem to be a bunch of seats in that row.

I have to consider the people I'm going with too, I don't think they are too keen on floor seats.

No problem...In my opinion, with a show like this (long catwalk) you really can't get the "BEST" seat - because they all have their perks - close to the main stage, close to the end stage, in the middle of the catwalk....I don't think there's any ideal seat that's perfect in these situations.

  2. AC is in such a slump right now. Four major casinos closed in the last 2 years and many are operating at a loss. There's talk that even Caesar's Palace will be closing. A lot of the casinos can't afford to buy tickets to give away to their customers. They're all pinching pennies. I would say this contributed greatly to the slow sales.

This is true, and this could be Madonna's last show at Boardwalk Hall. It's really a shame because the venue itself is awesome. I wonder if other artists are selling slower than normal in Atlantic City?? Madonna is one of the bigger acts that come there - and consistently.

Oh well - I just looked at the map again, it doesn't look that bad really - there's still time for great reviews and word of mouth to travel around from the NYC and Philly shows which could spark interest.

  3. Yeah I told the guy on the phone what I was looking to do, he took about a minute then came back with "the promoter has a strict no refund/exchange policy" and added "especially this close to the event". I'm sure I could have pushed the issue further, but honestly I'm was/am a little hesitant to make an exchange to begin with. It looks like i'd be back in row 21, which definitely would be better for catwalk viewing, but i'm thinking not as good for main stage viewing? Ugh, I don't know.

I believe you were told wrong unfortunately. I'm not sure about the time frame issue, but you absolutely can do an exchange for tickets for events at this particular venue - not all venues offer this but Boardwalk Hall does. If you're hesitant than i'd just stick with what you have, and if you ready my story that I posted earlier in this thread you can see the headache that I went through, but if you bought over the phone/online it should be much easier. You can always call back and be ready to tell them exactly what section and seats you want - you can use the map on

Ticketmasters website to see what's open.

I hate the fact that good/great seats get released after the pre-sales a lot of the time, but it's the game we have to play. I know exactly how you feel. But, don't feel too bad because section 103 is a great section and you should have an awesome view. What seats were you looking to get in exchange?

  4. Seriously they wouldn't let you? They gave me some trouble but I finally was able to upgrade - even exchange but much better location. It was more about then not knowing how to do it at first.

As far as getting more people to go, I don't know anyone who is willing to pay these prices and I can't buy anymore for friends and family than I have already. I wish I could though. I'd like to think we're overreacting to this whole thing though and that once the reviews start pouring in people will realize she's on tour - seriously some people might not even know. If it were that bad, I'd think they'd be more proactive with the advertisement than they have been.

  5. I don't care about sold out shows cause I know eventually they fill sell to like 95% or to sold out by their dates but AC is REALLY looking bad. :/ any thoughts? There's a LOT of seats

It looks 75% sold out right now but once the tour starts there shouldn't be any issues. I bet some of the NY and PA people will want to go again.

  6. Yep, can't wait either. I'm going to try to remain spoiler free this time around since it's so close. Well, I won't watch any video clips anyhow. I'll probably take a look at the setlist so I know when to take a bathroom break. haha

I'm tempted to do the same...except for the setlist as well. I don't know if I can resist though!

  7. Also so many people waiting for floor seats to the NYC shows can snap up some great ones in AC for face value if they don't get what they are looking for next week. It's a Saturday and you can make a whole night of it. Rooms are pretty reasonable too since fall is the off season.

Good point! I was quite worried there for a while, but I think it was for nothing. I am beyond excited!

  8. Reading through this thread, you guys were starting to worry me. Glad it seems to filling up. This will be my 3rd show there, and I much prefer it over Philly just because of size. I have seats in section 103 this time around.

It really is a great venue for a concert. Looks like it's about 75% full now - if I had to guess. Once she does well in Philly, I think it could eventually sell out - or come close to it. I was worried for a while, but I think we can relax now.

  9. I always consider (for about five seconds) avoiding spoilers pre tour, but honestly, I feel like spoilers can also enhance the experience! I pretty much knew the MDNA show inside out by the time I saw it and I loved the live experience every bit as much as I would've without the spoilers. In fact, because I knew so much about the show, I knew EXACTLY where I wanted to be in the triangle. Although I didn't need to take a bathroom break after all, I knew at what point I would go IF I needed to. So.......yes, it's exciting to go in blind and maybe one of these days I will do that, spoilers definitely aren't always a bad thing at all! :)

I agree! Spoilers help you know where to focus and at what time. I also can say for a fact that a YouTube video could not possibly show everything that's happening on stage so no matter what, you'll see something you didn't see before.

  10. And yes the fact that this is a Saturday and not sold out in a venue that only hold 12000 is crazy. Though other boardwalk hall shows seems to be struggling (check out all the open seats for Ricky Martin and they are cheap)

Still a lot of floor left too but I don't think people realize because it defaults to the 100s but if you specify floor there are lots there. I think it would help sales if they put the map up!

I would imagine it has to do with the current state of the city - and I bet this is Madonna's last show at Boardwalk Hall - she's been here consistantley since CT but if she and other artists are having trouble selling, it doesn't look good for the venue - which is a shame because I think it's an awesome place for a show - since it's quite small, most seats are great and when a show as big as Madonna is there - the stage just takes over the place.

I don't know why they don't put the map up right away - it would be so much easier to buy GOOD seats - the best ones you can actually get, rather than having them selected for you. There must be a business reason why they don't.

  11. There was no billboard on the expressway when I was there in July which shocked me - the height of summer when the most people will see it. Not sure if there's one now.

My friends tickets were the $180 ones. I got it for them during the regular on sale right when they went on sale. And sadly I don't think the 300s are sold out I think they closed out those sections. I saw the same tickets in the same section for literally months meaning I don't think anyone was going to shell out $180 for 300s so I'm fairly certain they will just move the few people who had those tickets down closer.

Also praying for no cancellation. While I'm going to MSG one night I'm in the bowl and my tickets for AC are right up against the cross (I did an exchange too to get those - over the phone also easy). But hopeful that since borgata is sponsoring show they can give tickets away to high rollers instead of canceling. One more month to find out!

I am going to the Philly show in the lower level - right by the cross, but I'm going to that one alone - so yeah, I'll get to see the show, but I kind of am more excited for the AC show. I cannot believe Borgata is letting this happen! I'm hopeful that positive reactions from the Philly show will create some demand. I remember getting pretty good MDNA tickets much closer to the show rather than earlier like I usually do - it was a last minute decision to do both Philly and AC last time and I got pretty good tickets so she doesn't usually sell out instantly.

I do agree that you are probably right - the 300's have been closed off now - maybe they will open them back up if there's a sudden demand - who knows. I'd be shocked if it doesn't happen - but I will continue to remain positive and hopeful - but would be really upset if there's a cancellation.

On a better note, after playing around with Ticketmaster's website, it doesn't seem as wide open as before.

  12. Ok I did some checking - so it seems like the closer 200's sections are $250 in the lower rows and $150 in the higher rows....and then further back the whole sections(s) appear to be $150.00. From what I can tell anyway. Unless they lowered some of the $250's which is a possibility.

  13. I noticed that too. The tickets I have for my friends are in Section 208 but the first row of that section I wonder if they should switch or stay put. If anything maybe I'll wait til closer to the show they may make some even better seats cheaper. I really feel based on my unscientific ticketmaster studying that AC might be the worst selling tour date.

If their tickets are in the first row of the section, i'd say they are pretty good seats - were they the $150 tickets? ($180 w/tax and fees) if you don't mind my asking? My section 209 tickets were in row F for that price but I bought them a few days after they went on sale and was shown on the computer (at the Ticketmaster outlet) that was all that was open so I took them - still not terrible seats though and I was happy until the other night I was playing around online and could not believe what was open for the SAME price. Ticketmaster usually doesn't allow exchanges, but certain venues DO allow it so Ticketmaster knows how to make the switch - Boardwalk Hall allows it. Since I bought them at a Ticketmaster outlet, I had to do the transaction at the store not over the phone - they didn't know what to do, and they called to verify - then they were given incorrect instructions on how to do it and ended up canceling my order, and some sort of technical error happened with the money and they had to call the support line again (this time they made me call) while standing there and a rep was like sorry, can't help you - need a manager to help you tomorrow! I had to leave the store with no tickets and NO refund! I certainly wasn't going to buy another pair without the refund at least processing correctly. So, the next morning I called the support line from home and had to explain the whole thing again (as if the 3 hours at the outlet weren't bad enough) to which they first told me to, get this, go BACK to the store so they can process the refund. I said NO WAY! they ended up re-activating my tickets and I was told if I want to take a chance you can go back to the store and have them try to do the exchange again, but....

I went to another outlet at a different mall (because I'm a crazy Madonna fan and want the best I can get) and they called the support line and they finally walked them through the steps to do it correctly and I eventually got what I wanted but it was extremely upsetting with that kind of money just up in the air and nowhere to turn! I had a third ticket that was bought at a separate time over the phone but the seat was right next to my original two (the two I just upgraded) that I had to exchange over the phone to make sure we were still all going to sit together - and the rep did the transaction in less than 10 minutes - so bottom line - it's much easier to do this when you purchase your seats online or over the phone - I will NEVER go to the outlet again and the only reason I did this time is because I had a gift card I wanted to use that I couldn't use on their website. NOT worth it!

Anyway, I'm not sure they lowered the price or not, it seems that the row I'm in and higher are the $150's and the lower rows of the 200's sections are the $250.00's - I think what happened was that they for some reason were being held or possibly returned somehow? Do you think they lowered the price? That would have bothered me so bad to know I could have been three sections closer for the same price!

As far as the slow sales, yes, I do think this show is a slow seller and I really hope that there's no cancellation or anything because I'm going with one person who's never seen her before and I'd hate for that to happen. I'm not sure what they are going to do but it does seem like the 300's sections are sold out last time I checked which is odd.

The MDNA tour seemed to be a hit with the crowd the last time around as well - plus, it's always on a Saturday night - I can't believe it's not selling faster. They need to do some advertising - and fast. I have heard NOTHING about it - not on radio, tv, - is there even a billboard on the expressway? I haven't been down there in a while so I'm not sure but they need to do something and fast.

  14. I just exchanged my seats in the $180 price level for WAY better seats in the same price level through Ticketmaster! They must have opened up more seats because I saw them online and did an exchange immediately (which was a complete nightmare and long - and I do mean long story which took two days to get resolved - Thanks Ticketmaster!...ugh!) - but there are some really awesome seats left at this price level if anyone is thinking of going to this show. I was in 209 and moved up to 221!
