Well the original line-up was Ian McKellen, Danny Boyle, Lily James, Hamesh Patel and music from Sheryl Crow.
I’m pretty sure they’ll axe Hamesh Patel (of Eastenders fame )
Shame she isn’t performing as it would be an absolutely perfect promo spot going out on release day. Who know maybe she’ll surprise us and open the show with a song, just can’t see her sharing a stage with Sheryl Crow?
So there'll be lots of talk about the movie Yesterday. M could talk about how she worked with George Harrison haha

Sorry if this has been posted before, but its worth it again anyway.
2 points:
1. her vocals (as heard from the crowd) are fine. its not note perfect, but its a live performance.
2. how about the staging set up. i love the lighting to make sure everything is in its right place.

Ive been away all weekend and only just saw the performance (in her YT channel). I dont understand the criticism of her performance - she sounds fine. Only the spoken part in the middle (which was lipped) was a bit weird, but i think its meant that way. the flags i only notices because of hearing about them, i wouldnt have even noticed them otherwise. and so what anyway? madonna has always promoted peace, so why not now.

I. Love. It.
And The nods to don’t tell me are everything.

the most alarming thing about this is that, in today's political world, this isnt making the headlines that it should be. the world is dying and our 'leaders' dont care.

I forgot all about this, and just got my itunes notifications. WHat a nice surprise!!!!! I LOVE IT!!

Well then I’ll tune in close as possible to M&M’s performance....no desire.to see TS or sit through all the bs!
Hahah ... I can never figure out the times, finding a good streaming site, or sit through hours of rubbish, so I'll just wait for a youtube upload afterwards.
Shall I get these ready?

Wow, that's a short performance then ...

Hmmm Interesting.
I don’t think her vocal is ‘simple’ at all. The part where she sings “with yooouu” in the second verse and the pitch falls is a moment of sheer indelible beauty in the song. Actually so much vocal control.
As for always singing the same way, has he heard rescue me? Or anything from I’m breathless? Or Evita? (Ok maybe they’re not pop songs)
Nevwrtheless, a pretty good and insightful article. Thank god there’s journalists who still write about the music!!!

Isn't ESC the "out of the box" thing?
only if during the performance she jumps out of a box

I have mixed feelings about this type of arguments that I havent fully resolved.
Of course what Falau said (and thinks) is abhorrent, and he should be sacked. Even better if social media platforms ban him and the media stops reporting anything he has to say.
I support the right to free speech, which of course must come with the right of anyone else to disagree with you, or take any other action they like (such as sack you if they can).
But I get worried if the severity of those consequences means people with those views just keep them secret. I think free speech should be the basis of engaging in debate and discussion, to be able to persuade people to think about things in different ways and change their minds. I like to know what people think, especially if I disagree with them, so that I can try to change their mind. If people with extreme or stupid views just keep quiet, we will just keep getting surprised with the success of people like Pauline Hanson or (worse) Donald Trump. Or other extremists that "showed no signs of discontentment".
But then maybe thats just old fashioned of me to think that people are open to discussion. I guess more and more some people these days are just so closed minded that they wont listen to reason. But I want to be optimistic.....
And yet again, sometimes I just want to know who my enemies are...
Sadly I think this all starts with how we raise children. I was once chatting to a guy at work (over 20 years ago), who was arch-typical white middle class from Queensland. He said "It's not personal, I was just brought up to think that homosexuality is wrong". I didn't argue with his conclusion, people like this just think in a completely different frame of reference. I just said "Oh really, I was brought up to think for myself". I never spoke to him again.

Not true
That's a sad misconception spread around by threatened fanbases to make it sound like M only appeals to people her own age.
Madonna's the luckiest in terms of her demographic, she has appealed to the 25 and older crowd since MTV branded her an adult after-midnight artist back in the early 90s and not much has changed since then. No other artist before her, from her generation, or since then has her relevance.
Here's her demographic based on her 13 million followers on Instagram:
this means nothing. 13 million followers - did she sell 13 million RH albums or 13 million RHT concert tickets?? These are not the people that will give her success. She needs to get to the people that arent following her on insta.

The US hasn’t cared for Madonna since Music let’s face it. Super Bowels was pretend LUV. She will always have Europe and South America locked down. Asia also to a certain extent but she has also lost Oz (but they love that shit Pink so they have awful taste anyway and they don’t deserve her after the RHT fiasco)
What fiasco??
But i agree with everything you say. I'm already factoring in going to Europe to see her later this year. I will never never ever figure out why Australians love pink.

The new x is very disco!!
im starting to think the album is called just X.
(Ed sheeren’s album was technically called multiply. X is more Kylie or INXS, but that’s ok- for them it meant nothing more than their tenth albums. Madonna can make it have more meaning through the madame persona
