Is this the finsl or demo? It's got that strummy guitar that was in a lot of other demos but not in final versions ... Maybe ... But it's kinda cute anyway.YUCK...not liking Autotune Baby at all...DOUBLE YUCK
New sex is awesome. JOA might need a few more goes.

Super low quality snippets of Autotune Baby, Trust No Bitch, Alone With You, Take It Back, La Isla Bonita (Dubplate) and the final version of Hold Tight just leaked..
very super low quality. alone with you and take it back sound like the most fun, but obviously dont fit the rest of the album.

It samples "Vogue" "let your body move to the music" "let your body go with the FLOW" LOL
apparently. but just thinking about that last word in this new context kind of makes me feel unwell.
I think I would have gone with "Im glad you brought your raincoat, i think its begining to rain.."
-
If I had to bet, I would guess that the surprise sample of an old Madonna song at the end of Holy Water would be "your love's coming down like.... rain!" from Rain, but if anybody knows what it is, don't tell me if I'm right or wrong cuz I wanna be surprised.
that would be great.
in the background of the HW demo you can hear 4 minutes playing, but i dont think that's it, as the rumour is that it is a 'classic' song, and 4 minutes is too recent.

Is anyone else here from Perth?
None of my mates are into Madonna and as I don't want to spin the record for the first time by myself, I'd love to do a little listening party and have a few drinks, talk about all things M related and make the day really special. I have an absolutely massive Madonna memorablia collection and would love to check out everyone else's, maybe trade a few items even.
Thanks guys
Ryan
Well, really, why don't you move from Perth to a real city!
Im the same - all my friends either do not like Madonna or just are casual fans. Nobody i can really hang out with to just play the music and talk about the years. Im a bit worried that if she tours that none of my friends would pay $$ to be up front, if they go at all they would only pay the cheap seats. And they certaintly wouldn't get there early. I guess I'll just go by myself.

they replayed the interview later. i was napping so i kind of missed it but there was an extra part they showed before she swore. he said something about the hack or situation being a double edged sword and she looked annoyed and kind of argued it being not a double edged sword and it went into her saying "who will make music, they just fucked me over" or whatever she said at the end.
i dunno i was half asleep
they replayed it on Mornings!, all the same bits of the interview, but all the video bits in the middle and voiceovers were different. Compare:

If he doesn't ask her about an Australian Tour in this interview I will shove that bottle up his arse...
Is there a reason her first aired interview this era is in Oz?
Maybe she IS starting the tour down under this time?
Lets face it, if she leaves us until last again she will end up cancelling a third tour on us...
I thinking all the same thoughts.
I wonder if that was the only interview done, or whether there were also others just not being shown yet? I mean, its only for a short segment on Today, its not a half hour or hour special? Would she turn up only for 10 minutes?
-
The interviewer (RIchard Wilkins) used to host MTV Australia (when we used to have it) back in the 80s and early 90s. I remember him introducing when they screened BAT from Barcelona. He's become a bit fo a dick in recent years on the morning TV show, but he does actually still know a lot about good music, so should be good.
-
For australia, it shall be called "the second coming"
but for everyone else, i like the Iconic tour. or maybe something like Revolution tour.
-
and the hard cany box set with actual candies ... I still have mine - do you think they are still good to eat?

Australian Tour tickets will go on sale on Monday March 16th for an October Tour according to a reliable touring insider at M-Tribe.
So Aussie's get saving now just in case.
October is actually the only month that woudl fit in, as all studiums are being used for footy through to September, and then the cricket starts from november. In Melbourne Tay Tay got shunted out to AAMI Park (a soccer field) because of the cricket booked in December. I think this is actually all because of Madonna - when she was here in 93 it was in November and December and I remember that the grass at the SCG was a mess for the cricket the following week, so they said no more concerts during cricket season.
But Im actually really worried about getting good tickets. Im not a icon legacy member (there seemed to be no point when she never came here), so unless there's packages that gaurantee front row, I might be up the back.
That said, I wont beleive she is coming here until I see her. Guy O is quite good at saying she is coming to Australia at the time of the album release and then ... woudl be great if they started the tour here, so then no excuses for not coming.

She will headline the in New York City!
Or maybe she'll come and do the australia show :lmao:

What station are you listing to? I keep trying to hear it on NOVA Sydney but I never seem to be listening at the right time.
I listen to nova in melbourne, not very often only when im in my car driving somewhere, and they play it all the time. I hear it at least once a day in the 15 minutes of driving. Which is strange because I dont think australian radio have even played any madonna song since 2005.
-
I remember when she was here in 93 and pretty much every day she was in the country, the nightly news would have as one of its top stories what madonna did that day.
-
Im a bit worried that having so many songs on the album means they are all edited shorter than what they otherwise might have been in order to fit on the physcial CD release ... like those terrible edits to songs to fit on the Celebration CDs. Or doesnt that matter anymore?
-
Great!!!
As long as Heartbreak FUCKING City is not on ANY of those.....
It's a song that's not so pretty..
And it's a song that's really shitty....
I thought I was the only one...
As for preachy song, don't forget that Vogue is very preachy (verses), but still a great dance song, let's wait and see what she does with the demos.

not sure if this has been raised before ...
on the itunes blurb it quotes some lyrics from joan of arc "I cant be a super hero right now .. I'm only human". I assume those last words are new in the final version? Not sure i want anything changed.
-
Im going bananas
-
the music better be good, coz those lyrics are awful.
-
Firstly, who the fuck is Wendy?
Second, is she saying that it would have been OK for Madonna to post pictures of only white people? Now THAT is racist.
-
Yes.
1. Illuminati
2. Bitch, I'm Madonna
3. Best Night
4. S.E.X.
5. Holy Water / Addicted
6. Unapologetic Bitch
7. Iconic
8. Veni Vidi Vici
9. Rebel Heart
10. Joan of Arc
11. Body Shop
12. Devil Pray
13. Inside Out
14. Ghosttown
15. Hold Tight
16. Heartbreak City
17. Messiah
18. Wash All Over Me / Borrowed Time / Grafitti Heart / Freedom (1 of them)
19. Living for Love
Seriously, if you want Folkdonna/Preachydonna go listen to Hey You or American Life. Rebel Heart is not going to be that album.
I can live with that, except where is beautiful scars? the lines "i think youre confusing me with somebody else; i wont apolgise for being myself" are her best pair of lines since cherish. Im feeling a ROL feel to the music would suit it well. plus, she also references "always been a rebel" so it kind of ties together.
-
^ I actually have wondered why Joan of Arc title was revealed on itunes but not the song and no other titles. as she said at the time of the first leak that 'half of those wont be on the album' i wonder if that was to just let us know that JOA would be on the album, but none of the other first demos. But clearly Rebel Heart will be on there (and a single). And since JOA also had the time (4:01) it means it must be finished, so why not release it then? or maybe it was all jsut an accident.
-
I think this era will have the following songs as singles:
1. Living for Love
2. Devil Pray
3. Ghosttown
4. Rebel Heart
5. Bitch I'm Madonna
6. Wash All Over Me
7. Jon of Ark
May be even more. This era is not HC/MDNA guys. I think she really is going to outdo herself. There is a lot of money put into this project and Madonna has a lot to say this time. Be prepared for an amazing album with incredible videos, performances and promotions.
Im pretty sure that of the 6 already released, only LFL is a single. All other singles would be saved for the later release.
although, there's always a chance that a song not planned for a single might become a single if popular - like what happened with Get Together.
I just hope the singles are released not too far apart, need to keep momentum. and lots of them!

Reminds me of her American pie. At least were getting the acoustic as well.
