  1. Listened to it all through once... I'm really not sure :/ Don't get me wrong, I think it is a FANTASTIC album still, I'm just not sure if some of the final songs have been maybe slightly ruined? Maybe it needs time to grow. But the album is still amazing regardless, just not sure if i LOVE it yet.

Don't forget we were never supposed to hear the demos... try and imagine these final songs as if you were hearing them for the first time. And yes, I know it's hard to ignore the fact that you know the demos, but if you reposition your mind to the final versions being what's put out there and other people in the world hearing it for the first time that way, you might appreciate them more. Plus like I said above, some of the demos can be looked at as mixes (although many others I don't need to hear again, the final versions are gorgeous).

The film "Safe" from 1995 is one of my favourites of all time, Julianne Moore is amazing in it (and there's a scene where she is in aerobics class and exercises to "Lucky Star" consequently, lol).

Julianne is amazing in so many movies.

And I LOVE "Body of Evidence", lol.... Julianne was also asked about it in an issue of Entertainment Weekly years ago.... She said something along the lines of how she saw Madonna a while after the movie bombed but was too embarrassed to bring it up...

I think it bombed in theatres but did well in video rentals apparently? Every horny guy in my hometown rented it, haha. Including myself, but just to see Madonna. :-)

  3. :dead:

    cunt ?

    wow.

    let's talk about it.

Just calling it like it is... it was a cunty statement you made. So it's fine for people to have an opinion on just about everything under the sun on here about most of her work, but those who don't like something like the MDNA tour aren't wanted around. Like seriously, you can't pick and choose what it is people can have opinions on. Besides, if you cared to read what I wrote before passing judgement, I said that i liked plenty of parts of it (but not other parts), but I never said it was boring. So get your facts straight.

And to member Jazzyjan, thank you for the words but I am not referring to the members who joined trying to cause trouble (and I promise you, if you look at my posts overall, I am not one of them, but if I want to speak realistically about Madonna, I will). What I am referring to is the number of daily posts about how stupid all of the newbies are on here, how idiotic, to please go away, shut the fuck up, etc, etc, etc. I mean, i have a pretty thick skin but it really is a bit much. 10 members of so especially should really have their own private forum just to talk to each other then.

Anyway, some people are pretty cool on here and funny.

Looking forward to Madonna's new album whenever she finally gets around to it.

See ya later, guys. I think I'll just stick to twitter to get my Madonna news.

  4. What's your fave tour?

It is hard to pick one because they all have moments that I will watch again and again (yes, even parts of MDNA tour). But the one tour I've probably watched the most is 'Girlie Show' which I know is not perfect (i.e. the stage was a bit bare), but just the sound of it all was great, she seemed to be having a blast, and I liked how she performed the songs. Plus the 'Erotica' era was my fave.

  5. MDNA. It has some of the best choreography, costumes and staging of her career, no doubt, but it's overshadowed by some of the worst live renditions she's ever done. Only time I've ever really been disappointed in one of the queen's live shows.

WTG and S&S are both amazing, and very similar. They're arguably the most traditional concerts she's done and proof that, even without the theatrics, she is the best live performer of her generation.

Watch out, I got ripped a new asshole for speaking against the MDNA Tour in the other section, hahhaha. The topic title is even changed right now to defend it. Good Lord, I now know what to say to rile some feathers in this place.

I agree, the show has awesome choreography, costumes and staging, but the actual songs themselves (and the sound) were lackluster to me or just plain awful in parts when I saw it live, and I was hoping those issues were better on DVD, but they weren't. For example, "Girl Gone Wild" is a phenomenal sequence but the sound is terrible!

I do like a bunch of numbers from it still, and try and ignore sound issues in other parts to re-watch, but some numbers are unwatchable.

This was also my BF's first time ever seeing her and we were pretty jazzed up before hand but he did not like it and will never see her again. I have seen her three times and am undecided for the next one, but I usually can't stay away. ;)

  6. Of course I wouldn't want Madonna just to be "uninspired" and sing the old songs, but some tours work better than others. My main thing is I need good sound. Yes, the visuals were good on MDNA.

I am sure she will come up with something fierce for the new tour judging from how much she seems to be into the creative process on this new album. But can't wait to see what focus there will be for the new album, I hope the tour announcement is NOT almost immediate.

  7. Don't forget, there is sometimes a difference between what hardcore fans think and casual fans. The hardcore may accept just about everything she does, but that does not always translate to everyone (e.g. the use of guns in imagery and shooting someone's head off can evoke different opinions for example).

Similar to this forum.... as much as 10 - 15 people on here would rather no 'newbies' come in and voice their opinion, you will just have to deal with different perspectives.
