Can anyone remember if the first 1 minute 20 seconds of Hung Up we heard ten years ago today on Motorola.com was the finished song with the ABBA sample? Or that remix they used for the ad? I always thought we got the Motorola version FIRST but my memory is patchy...
I can't believe it's been 10 years.
Also, isn't it ODD that Radio 1 were the ones to bring us the album release dates first (although they were wrong). How times have changed!
Let's watch it again... no ABBA sample, but not sure if that specifically answers your question... love this commerial! Love that era!!

My god these shows are so shyte. Thank God Madonna not got involved in being a jugde or something like that. So beneath her!!! Still nice to see the kids singing her music I suppose, haha.
I remember not minding when Frencie Davis did 'Like a Prayer' for Christina on the Voice a few years ago... well the arrangement for the end of the song at least (it's a bit wobbly in the beginning and slightly "cruise ship" entertainment, haha)

I always thought "Jump" should have been promoted more as a song for "Devil Wears Prada", included on it's soundtrack as well as the Confessions album, and made to feel like a "movie song". It might have helped it be a bigger hit (because the song has "hit" written all over it).
I was fine with "Sorry" being the second single because it is extremely catchy, though I would have loved a better video. Nice to see it was a big hit in many parts of the word.
It was harder for her to have hits on later singles at this point, because yes, "Get Together" screams hit too. This album really had a lot of single choices.

Yes, everyday still! But certain songs I get slightly sick of so I put them on pause, others I start to re-listen to again, and others it seems I'll never tire of!
Right now, L4L is BACK after a pause, Iconic is on pause (hope the tour changes that)

Yeah, as stated above, I definitely think '4 Minutes' should have been a number one for Madonna on the Hot 100... so close, and had circumstances been right for songs around it, and had streaming been counted then, it would have (especially since it was number one on iTunes for a while). I suppose that applies to her other other songs that hit the top two and top three that could have made it to number one.

Yeah, she really needs to be in one more movie, even if its a smaller part .... a musical would be cool, and I'd love for it all to go well for her in terms of response and box office. It would be cool for her to have one more.
Oh and we all know she is a great director, and the woman is a stickler for continuing things until SHE wants to stop, so I hope a future directorial outing for her will give her some great recognition. To start with, I'd like for her to pick a movie that is more accessible to the masses so maybe it could be a box office success.

I had no idea about this solidarity Madonna had with Goldie Hawn in terms of "Chicago"... so interesting. I didn't know they were close at all, or maybe there was only closeness when it came to the making of the movie? So Madonna really wanted to do it with her, or that was their plan together?
Madonna being in "Chicago" would have been awesome, especially if she had "Evita" levels of commitment.

I've wondered if they are going to film pieces of the first few shows and use actual RH Tour footage for RH Tour commercials. I think that would be a great idea because by that point, a casual fan or anyone can find the setlist and you'd be able to see glimpses of the actual show and not just pieces of past tours. It would be cool if the commercial began with a 30 seconds or so starting with Madonna on the Virgin Tour, morphing into Who's That Girl Tour, BA, GS...etc etc, with a voice over declaring her the queen of pop and master of tours...and the last 15 seconds show footage of the opening from RH, another few bits and ends with a quick spin of the nuns on the poles. Screen goes dark. And the words "Madonna. Rebel Heart World Tour. Onsale now. Don't just stand there...have the best night of YOUR life. Madonna.com. LiveNation.com"

I know they are doing their best to avoid spoilers... but has there been much marketing for this show? I usually see a commerical on TV for upcoming Madonna concerts, or hear about it on radio when forced to hear the radio, but I have not seen one thing about Madonna's new show.
I know spoilers suck when it's a new album coming out, but in a way when it comes to the concert, it could lead to more people being interested in the show and snapping up a ticket. I suppose we'll see as much as we want once the show begins, but hell, i want more before the first night! haha

Yeah I saw this story yesterday when I googled Madonna's name to see what was up with the tour. And of course the story was on the maniac right-wing site, Breitbart. So Christopher's facebook page was flooded with support from right-wingers thanking him for speaking truth... as if anybody voicing the other side isn't speaking their truth (or LOGIC). And as if any of these people truly support him otherwise, hello, he is gay. You know most of them actually despise him.
There is no logic involved in arguing against many of these people on the subject - you know, things like when the LAW comes into the picture and the seperation of church and state, and this woman is a government official elected to serve the law. Nobody is taking away her religion outside of the job she CHOSE to do, and she certainly didn't give a damn about religion in all of her divorces and children out of wedlock. And these people rail against the government/constitution/courts until it comes time for something that serves them, like their guns.
But like I said, there is no logic involved when arguing with certain people, Christopher being one of them. What a tool.
