  1. The thing is, we’ve had nothing to suggest the album is out next year, where as we’ve had a few sources saying it’s coming this year... which, I find a bit more reliable than no source at all. But yes, it’s possible things have been delayed, the same happened with Rebel Heart, but at least we somehow got that information.

I wonder if she wasn’t happy with the results so she scrapped the Starrah/Billboard/Mirwais collabs and is starting anew....she did that with Babyface and Patrick Leonard before doing Ray of Light with Orbit, and with Mirwais before doing Confessions on a Dance floor with Stuart price. Both turned out to be amazing, inspired albums so if this theory is true, then hopefully we are in for another major artistic achievement!

She seemed happy with the results when she was posting about #Music #Mirwais #Magic earlier this year.

And that's what makes the site annoying. I can't stand coming in here. Is filled with toxic people. I come here to talk about Madonna but all I see is draggin comments.

    You’re not helping matters.

Try Popjustice if you don’t want to see any dragging. Over there, people get ripped to shreds for even daring to have an unpopular opinion.

Anyway, back on topic. Maybe it is that Madonna has noticed there’s too many diva’s releasing new music in the last quarter of this year?

    Or

    There’s still time.

I'm happy to wait a bit. I mean once we have the album and the tour is over we're gonna get the post album depression cause we know we'll have to wait at least 3 years for new music...soo...this waiting and anticipating right before the era starts is nice.

Let’s deal with that when we get to it. It’s been long enough since Rebel Heart so I’m ready, bring on the new era.

I respect and love her, obviously, but this feels like its turning into a problem. Its indicative of how wrong her and her team have got things for the last ten years. In the old days you'd announce an album two months, maybe three before, sometimes less, so theres a burst of excitement which builds to release. She's been live instagramming sessions etc so the excitement built and yet theres no product. Its even been reported in papers etc that theres a new album, a (probably wrong) track list etc and this was all months ago. The excitement is starting to dissipate. If they leave it much longer it will be a disaster. We even know themes and artists she's worked with but no idea when there will be a record. Its part of the same patter with RH. In future they shouldn't say anything until six weeks before, punch and punch and punch to build up excitement and make it an event. Its losing momentum

That may all be shit but im frustrated!!

It's almost like they have deliberately killed the hype train with silence.

It is strange she actually performs part of a new song in May, even wears a hat with the title, and then nothing all Summer and now probably Fall too. Come on, M! I don't think she's done anything like this before (could be wrong though).

Love Makes the World Go Around performed at Live Aid 85 sort of reminds me of the early premier of a new song.

Ugh, I'm so excited for this album. I heard that she's been working with some London DJs. But that one of them told her that he couldn't work with her anymore, because she was too ugly to look at, and that the entire world had turned on her and no one can stand the sight of Madonna anymore. Really sad. Gaga has surpassed Madonna's level of relevance and art and insane amount of critical acclaim and assured longevity must be a horrible and depressing feeling for the senior citizens on this forum.

    @Kimcare to flush?

Isn't that one of the problems? Trying to place Madonna into this new template created for the likes of Minaj, Grande and their young fans was never going to work for her.

I think people underestimate how much of her core fanbase (30 and over) has tuned out because of it.

To be honest I can’t get my head around how the industry works today, it seems almost impossible to get the hype of a new album to stick so at this point I’m just happy to get a new album.

It’s funny how there have been a couple of sources saying the album is coming this year, but we’re yet to hear it from Madonna or her team. A March 2019 release isn’t out of the question at this point, but I also think there’s enough time to announce / get the album out by November 2018.

But you can handle another quiet September, October, November and December?! This place will literally collapse in on itself like a black hole.

My point is January is literally the most quiet time in the music industry, Madonna aside, there is plenty of music coming out in Q4 I am looking forward to, but January is literally the quietest month, no updates, barely any album releases, it’s frustrating.

Never thought of it this way but it's a pretty accurate breakdown. My only nitpick is that Bedtime Stories wasn't controversial.

It was the follow up to erotica and she sang about the back lash on the album so I think it’s related in that sense.

This is the beggining of the end, i mean... portuguese music? fados? that music is sooo boring, if she want to put us to sleep.....I'm really disappointed after 3 years of waiting. I really hope she flop so hard. BTW is funny that she criticize the music business right now when is the way she's  been working the last 10 years... I don't undertand this woman sometimes...

This is seriously asking for a flush.

do you honestly think this album is going to be a pure fados album?

I trust Madonna when she says she's inspired by something, she doesn't relish in it, she incorporates it, like when she felt spiritual she created Ray of Light, full of great pop songs with a spiritual essence, where as Belinda Carlisle went full out mantra with Wilder Shores, there's a difference.
